Year End Predictions:
1. Uptown Funk 1630k 2/3 Thinking Out Loud 1080k 2/3 See You Again 1070k 4. Trap Queen 940k 5. Sugar 890k 6/7 Blank Space 825k 6/7 Shut Up + Dance 820k 8. Cheerleader 810k 9. Earned It 750k 10. Can't Feel My Face 700k
11. Watch Me 680k 12. Love Me Like You Do 670k 13. Take Me To Church 663k 14. Bad Blood 630k 15/16 Lean On 580k 15/16 The Hills 580k 17/18 Shake It Off 550k 17/18 Want To Want Me 550k 19. Post To Be 500k
20-23 Lips Are Movin 480k 20-23 Honey, I'm Good 475k 20-23 Where Are U Now 475k 20-23 I'm Not the Only One 470k 24. Worth It 460k 25-27 All About That Bass 450k 25-27 Hey Mama 450k 26-27 Fight Song 450k 28. Style 425k 29. G.D.FR. 400k 30. Good For You 390k
* #1 is a no brainer. * Thinking Out Loud has 100k more points than See You Again right now. If it can stay on Hot 100 for 7-8 more weeks, then it will get the #2 spot. * Trap Queen and Sugar are locked for #4 and #5 respectively. * For #6, the fight will be between Blank Space and Shut Up and Dance. Cheerleader could also get the spot if it can stay in the Top-10 till year-end. * The Weeknd is very likely to have 2 songs in the Top-20. Earned It is sure to get #9, and Can't Feel My Face should get #10, unless it starts falling rapidly or Watch Me holds exceptionally well from here.
* Bad Blood, The Hills and Shake It Off are guaranteed spots in Top-20, thus making 3 each for Weeknd and Swift in the Top-20. * There is only one spot open in the Top-20 now, and it could be claimed by any of the 4 songs mentioned, or it could even be a new song which is yet to peak.
*1 or 2 songs may become big hits from hereon and push Good For You and G.D.F.R. out of Top-30.

^ beat me to it. Well I was going to say that Trap Queen is basically locked for #4 now and it looks like Sugar will round out the top 5. 2 and 3 are still a competition between Thinking Out Loud and See You Again; it could go either way, depending on how they hold up (particularly how long TOL stays).
I think SUAD will pass Blank Space (of course this might be just my wishful thinking lol) for #6 and BS will end up at #7. Sorry to those of you who want Blank Space in top 5 because it looks very unlikely at this point. #8 will be close between Earned It and Cheerleader. I know it's a bit of a long shot, but I thinks CFMF will close out the top 10. I'm starting to get scared now as well that Watch Me will make the top 10 :/
Bad Blood will likely finish at #12 or Taylor's lucky number 13.

420K streams for Trap Queen lol.
I hope you are right about Worth It! Also, it seems LAM and INTOO will be the SOML and Demons of the year. Charting more in the beginning of the year, considered hits more in the previous year by most (I actually think year end mashups can be the blame for this at times). As well as Shake It Off & AATB being the Royals & Wake Me Up

"Post to be" is like another top 10 outcast marvel!! It can end up higher than "sail" in year-end chart (which is weird considering the 5.5 million digital of "sail" only pushed it to #25)

Love Me Harder at least will make top 50. The song that got screwed is Blame. 10 Weeks in 2014 and 10 more in 2015.
When is Arianas new single even coming out or even Taylor Swifts new single? I doubt it would make year end plus I doubt it will be that good.
I also doubt Justin Biebers new song will do good.
Also calling it now, Locked Away will make both 2015 and 2016 charts.

Waves will make year end chart but it also got screwed because half of its chart run was also in 2014, so in 2015 it will chart very low.

Waves will make year end chart but it also got screwed because half of its chart run was also in 2014, so in 2015 it will chart very low. Speaks of songs that's screwed, then what about Thinkin Bout You? Its chart run was almost completely split up between 2012 and 2013 and ended up getting nothin.

While it was on for 28 weeks, it peaked very low for it to even chart.

Also calling it now, Locked Away will make both 2015 and 2016 charts. tbh that's not exactly something hard to figure out, considering how there's like 12 weeks left in the chart year and especially considering how much longevity most songs are having nowadays it's likely that a lot of it's run will bleed into next year so...

Also I found out something interesting. Here is another song that got screwed
T-Pain - Im Sprung
2005 - 95th 2006 - 98th
If combined together in 1 year, it could definitely be in top 40

Unless you mean songs that didn't make top 50 in either year...those songs could've been top 20 maybe even top 10 if their chart run wasn't split like that...

Hey ye sure what y'all talking about? Cuz imo whoever mentioned "screwed songs" he were referring to those songs that didn't make any year end chart for their chart runs were split.. What you have posted are not technically screwed to me for at least their points are not wasted

I (and I presume everyone else) mean a song that had a high peak (e.g. top 10) and if all of its points had been collected in one year would've charted high on the year end chart, but has points split between two years, giving it a low-ish position in both years.

Die Young, only landed #85 and #57 in 2012 and 2013, but peaked at 2 and stayed in top 10 for 12 weeks and top 50 for 22 weeks. (Chart run: 13-14-8-5-4-6-3-3-2-3-3-4-6-7-12-16-20-24-28-36-50-50)

"Headlines" didn't even make the 2012 year-end list even though almost half of its weeks on the Hot 100 were after the December 2011 cutoff.
Also "Home" and "Gangnam Style" would've easily been year-end top 10 if their respective chart runs werent split...
"The One That Got Away" and "Ni**as In Paris" were split between 2011 and 2012 and both of those songs peaked at #5 and spent 2-3 months in the top 10...

TOTGW and Paris both made top 50 in 2012
Did anyone see the example I did with Im Spring in 05 and 06?

that could be said for a lot of other songs. There's no guarantee they would have been top 10 or top 20. Chart runs are confined to one year because they're counting the most popular songs of that particular year and time period. Yes, while it does cut some chart runs in half and denied some others a chance for even a year end position, I feel that the Billboard timeline is well put despite it being from December to November. If you think about it, it gives songs that debut in December a full chart run and songs that debut late in the year a chance for a better run the next one. If they counted every song's full chart run for just one particular year end list, it would be complicated and annoying, plus they would probably have to wait until the end of the chart run and put the song in the year end list of the year it last charted instead of the year it was most popular, and songs sometimes can chart for 2 or 3 years, not to mention they could re-enter at any time in any year, it'd be a mess. Besides, I think most people care about popular music much more in the Spring and Summer than they do in any other time period. So while is nice to think about how a song would have done if it hadn't been cut off, and agree that some songs got the lower end of the stick, the chart tracking period Billboard uses is the appropiate one.

My thoughts exactly! Such a shame as it is possibly my favorite song from him... What about We Found Love? I think had it not been cut off, it would have finished either the top 3 in 2011 or 4-6 in 2012 since the top 3 songs of that year had a longer chart run than WFL.
