1. Uptown Funk! 2. Happy 3. Somebody That I Used To Know 4. Thrift Shop 5. Shape of You 6. Love Yourself 7. Rolling In The Deep 8. Tik Tok I would have the same bottom 3 as you. Not because I dislike them, but they are easily the weakest of the bunch, IMO. I'm glad I'm not alone, haha.

For years: 1. 2015 2. 2012 3. 2011 4. 2017 5. 2014 (was juggling between this and 2017 for 4 and 5) 6. 2010 7. 2016 8. 2013
For year-end #1s: 1. Somebody That I Used To Know 2. Uptown Funk (not behind my #1 by much admittedly) 3. Thrift Shop 4. Rolling In The Deep 5. Tik Tok 6. Happy (I don't think this is anywhere close to as bad as 51207694526731 people make it out to be, but was juggling between this and Tik Tok for 6 and 7) 7. Shape Of You (same. I can pretty much swap any of the three between 5 and 7) (Party Rock Anthem - including it just because) 8. Love Yourself If hypothetically Need You Now had been the #1 song of 2010, it would've been #4 here for me.

Why I had Love Yourself at #6 is because it is weak based on weeks. For the bottom two, it is because I wasn't fully got into music until 2012, hence why STIUTK is #3, but they aren't bad.

Question - is Location the highest ever ranked song that did not peak in the top 15?

Question - is Location the highest ever ranked song that did not peak in the top 15? Kris Kristofferson's "Why Me" peaked at #16 and it was #6 in the 1973 Year-End list.

While Rockstar is pretty much locked for top 95 already, I'm really hoping Wolves and Let You Down pull through.

I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and think he probably just forgot it even existed, I mean, I did as well until like a week ago.

Buckley putting "Praying" on the list but not "Tunnel Vision" is pretty disgusting and is yet another reason why I regretted having ever subscribed to his terrible channel. I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and think he probably just forgot it even existed, I mean, I did as well until like a week ago. I mean, I guess, though I still don't think he should've put "Praying" on the list. I haven't watched his video, but based on the things I've seen people say about it, it seems that his only reason for putting "Praying" on the list is that it's boring. Like, I feel like that's not a good reason to put a song with such a heavy subject matter. He needs a lot more than just "boring" to justify his putting the song on a Worst of 2017 list because otherwise, you just come across as a bit of an ass.

While explaining himself, he didn't seem very comfortable. Like he could of chose any Miley Cyrus song this year or Scars To Your Beautiful but he went for Praying, I think it's because he had such a hatred for Kesha when he first started and she was like his whipping boy (like all people at the time). So maybe he felt obliged to do it, doesn't justify it but it's a theory. It'll be interesting to see Todd's take of new Kesha, he's been more forgiving to her recently despite her being his whipping boy initially as well. I expect to see Praying high on his best list come January, or maybe he'll surprise me.

Seeing Praying on Buckley's worst list was a bit of a surprise, but I guess I see his points about how it's boring, fake deep, and not what Kesha does best. I mean I don't agree with him, but I see where he is coming from.
In general I usually don't take Buckley's lists too seriously -- they're basically the lowest common denominator of music reviews. For what it's worth they did help jump start my interest in music reviews and even the charts themselves to an extent, but I've come not to expect too much from him now. His lists usually contain most of the easy targets, plus one or two other random songs that either weren't big hits or aren't that hated, and he just tends to make all of the obvious surface level jokes. If you keep that in mind, then his content is fine.

His reviews are suppose to be funny, he's a comedian. You can find him not funny and stupid, that's your opinion. But you shouldn't take him seriously.

The only reason why Buckley put Praying on his Worst List is because she's been a frequent punching bag of his for years. And if you go back to his older videos, a lot of his digs at her were pretty gross, borderline-sexist. I don't care if it's "comedy", his "comedy" pretty much amounts to the tiresome edgelord keyboard warrior humour that only 13 year-old boys find funny.

And while we're at it, my ranking of the Year-End number-ones of the 2010s: 1. Rolling in the Deep 2. Uptown Funk! 3. Somebody That I Used to Know 4. Tik Tok 5. Happy 6. Thrift Shop 7. Love Yourself 8. Shape of You Mine: 1. Somebody That I Used to Know 2. Thrift Shop 3. Rolling In The Deep 4. Happy 5. Uptown Funk 6. Tik Tok 7. Love Yourself 8. Shape Of You Only the last two I actively dislike. The rest range from awesome to ok-ish.

I really don't see the appeal to Buckley at all. To me his comedy is more cringeworthy than it is funny, and most if not all of his videos are just angry, ranting. I think purplefebruary summed up Buckley perfectly... "his "comedy" pretty much amounts to the tiresome edgelord keyboard warrior humour that only 13 year-old boys find funny."

As a 14 year old boy I can in fact testify that he is not funny.

Question - is Location the highest ever ranked song that did not peak in the top 15? Kris Kristofferson's "Why Me" peaked at #16 and it was #6 in the 1973 Year-End list. That's interesting, I always thought Paula Cole's I Don't Want to Wait was the only non-top ten song to rank in the YE top 10. I wonder if there's any others?

I'm not sure if there were many non-top ten songs that ranked in the top 10 of the YE charts back then, but another example is I Fall To Pieces by Patsy Cline which was a YE #2 but actually peaked at #12. Chart runs were weak before Soundscan.

Quick question, for Perfect, do both versions of the song count towards those 181k sales?
I know that the one with Andrea Bocelli won't count until next week, but my, he really wants this one to be remembered it seems like.
Anyway, tomorrow it's gonna be a tight squeeze between Perfect and rockstar for #1.

Chart runs were weak before Soundscan. Indeed they were weak. I looked I Fall to Pieces up, and it only spent 20 weeks on the chart! That of course is nothing now, but an eternity when it was released in 1961. It seems like now, even if a song spent every week of the year at #12, it would still be virtually impossible for it to be #2 YE. As for Perfect, yes, the 181,000 includes sales of both versions. It does seem like the race will be tight, but as is often said, I'm very happy it at least got 1 week at #1, more would be icing on the cake. I'm interested in how they'll continue to handle the billing. Will Beyonce continue to be credited even if her version no longer makes up a majority of the points? How will they handle it now that there's three different versions...will Bocelli receive any credit? etc.
