Those are some GREAT albums. I have all of them and I am really disappointed they haven't sold better.

Wow! I'm just a bit shocked! Jessi's album has only sold 7,921 copies???? That's unbelievable! I'm one of those 7,921 people who bought it, and I think it's fantastic. Not really mainstream country at all, more singer/songwriter in style, but it sure as heck should appeal to more buyers than that! Wake up, people! Buy some new music! Live dangerously!

Someone on Jessi's messageboard posted the 7,921 figure today and said that the lack of any airplay on mainstream country radio has killed sales, and that Americana radio resents her for being on a huge label like Sony. I can vouch for the airplay angle, but I know nothing about the alleged resentment. In any case, it looks she's in a no-win situation. :( Here's the link to the post: forums1.sonymusic.com/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/55010971/m/1821006483

I wonder what went wrong with CDJ's sophomore release. I liked everything I heard from it, and I also thought she was great in concerts. She hit some pretty big tours with her first album. Any word on what's next for her?

Regarding CDJ, the label killed promotion for the release after "Die of a Broken Heart" flopped. That was an amazing song with Keith Urban on background, but didn't seem too radio-friendly. It's always a shame when labels kill an album after one single, but there's always logic to it. Carolyn is working on her third disc now. Haven't heard when a single will be released.

CDJ's sales are really disappointing, especially considering how good her album is. It's one of my favorites released last year, and there were 5 or 6 strong singles on there. It's too bad that DOABH had to come second, because IMO it should never have been a single at all.
Patty's album is good too, and her sales are also disappointing.
Does anyone know what Reba's Room To Breathe soundscan total is? Taking record club sales into consideration, I figure that she must be very close to platinum now.

I was terribly disappointed with Dress Rehearsal. I have only listened to the whole CD once. Her debut was TONS better, and I think Die of a Broken Heart was terrible.
She needs to go back to material like on her debut.
