Country Star Announces signing with Curb Records Clay Walker Joins Curb Records Roster
Nashville, TN – July 6, 2005 – Multi-platinum country recording artist Clay Walker is the newest addition to the Curb Records family. Walker, known for such hits as What’s It To You, Live Until I Die, Dreaming With My Eyes Open and If I Could Make A Living, will join LeAnn Rimes, Blue County, Wynonna, Hank Williams, Jr. and Cowboy Crush on the Curb/Asylum imprint. Walker quickly established himself as a commercial success in the early nineties when his first two singles reached the top of the charts, he hopes lightening will stick twice, “I’m so excited to be associated with Mike Curb and to be working with Doug Johnson. It’s great to be at a place where the music really matters, I feel like I’m making my first record all over again”. Keith Stegall is currently working in the studio with Walker. Curb VP, A & R, Doug Johnson is eager to get him back on the radio, “I’m thrilled that Clay has become part of the Curb/Asylum family. He’s an incredible, unique singer and an amazing entertainer who is worthy of being entertainer of the year!” Johnson is hoping to have a single ready to take to Rob Dalton and his promotion team later this year. Curb Records is the home of many of today’s hottest acts including superstars Tim McGraw, LeAnn Rimes, Jo Dee Messina, Sawyer Brown, Billy Dean, Natalie Grant, Wynonna, Hank Williams, Jr. and Kimberley Locke. Walker seems happy to be joining the roster adding, “It already feels like I’m home.”
