Finally "Pompeii" seems to be getting some traction. Hopefully it will reach the HOT100 top 10 early in 2014.

I cant believe it has taken this long for Pompeii to finally make it Top 40 , when trash makes the chart so quickly. Pompeii is my fav song of 2013...based on release , but if it just takes off now here in the states , it will end up being 2014's best song that made the Billboard american charts.

By the end of this tracking week The Monster will be the number 1 airplay song, and most likely number 1 on the hot 100, all potentially before even having a music video

Its def. agreed by most that Royals is already out of the picture and officially beginning its descent. Now, its all about that WB viral video lol. Like I asked in the Monster thread, anyone know if it's views are making the same impact (and being watched as much as last week)? Thats really what this coming down to. I'm 'sure' Rihanna and Eminems team are well aware of the situation but don't get why this video isnt ready yet when if it came out any day this week it would all but guarantee #1 next week w/out ANY potential hurdles.

I think the video is not yet out because Athe video for Rap God (third single from eminems album...although it was a single that was necer sent to radio) came out wednesday nov 26, so they want to space it out a bit

"Wake Me Up" is way too overplayed, I think I heard this song like 10 times this morning.

Oh yeah, with streaming being lowered, "The Monster" should easily jump "Wrecking Ball" next week. In fact, "Wrecking Ball" could slip back to number four next week depending on how hard it and "Royals" fall this week. "Timber" should jump it for sure too, though. The Chatroulette video has been decreasing in popularity since November 27th according to YouTube. One to watch out for this week in streaming and digital sales is "Little Drummer Boy" from Pentatonix. Up to #10 on iTunes (!!!) and it's gaining about 2 million views (worldwide, of course) each day and it's only getting stronger.

They won a season of the SingOff I'm pretty sure.

I think Bobby McFerrin might be the only one to have an a capella song chart? He was #1 in 1988.
Only other possibility I can think of is if Glee had any a capella songs.

We're on his 3rd single here, but I think they're going to skip You Make Me for the US, so it'll probably catch up with most of the rest of the world (Australia and New Zealand always seem to be way ahead somehow).

Looks like a re-entry to me. CM is already in Top 100 of iTunes, which is better than Enya, Bon Jovi or Beyonce. Will be interesting where the views are coming from, but it's definitely impacting the US. This goes to my point was streaming is important. There is a definite correlation between the video and song.

Are call out scores affecting Gaga?
Maybe after the freeze 2014 will be about ballads.

Well, everything is going to be slower thanks to holiday songs taking up airtime, but even with that the Gaga DWUW decline is a bit of a sudden shift in momentum.

Big holiday airplay, though, is only happening big on AC stations right now. Pop play of holiday music isn't really all that significant until the week of Christmas, really, and even then, it's nowhere near the levels of AC radio. Having said that, it's also the time of year that hits from earlier in the year may be seeing more play.
"Timber" also is ranked 138 on iTunes (not sure what the pop bars would be, and "The Monster" has a third listing in the 900s. The sales probably will be close again, as they were this past week. "The Monster" has a big airplay lead, and led in streaming for the 12/14 chart, so it does look good for it to take the top spot.
