When In Rome- Nickel Creek

This is Nickel Creek's new single from the album "Why Should The Fire Die?" due August 9th.

I have had the album for about a month and it hasn't left my cd player. Jealous of the Moon is awesome as well as Can't Complain. Anthony although really short is great. Sara's voice is really sexy in that song. The biggest departure the band has taken so far has got to be Best Of Luck. This is one of my favorites on the cd. Hard driving with percussion involved which hasn't been heard on the other albums. This is a must have cd.

Nickel Creek debuts at #1 on the Independent Album Chart!! This is great news. This is an excellent album. I wonder why it didn't get put in the country album chart? It should be around 4 or 5 on that chart going by the Hot 200 album chart this week. Faith, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts are the only country artist ahead of them. the singles won't get much airplay but they have a huge fan base. I hope to go see them in November in Birmingham at the Alabama Theatre.

Also I noticed that the only spins When in Rome are getting are on CMT and VH1 Country. NO RADIO STATIONS ARE PLAYING THIS??? That is hard to believe. I know that none of there singles have been played a lot but 0 spins? I also didn't know that the videos counted as spins.

It's a good song. I have only heard it because I saw the video, which was... imaginative. Not exactly good, but imaginative. At least it wasn't trying to be sexy. Anyway, I liked the song and I am surprised a few adventurous stations are giving it a shot.

I saw this video on VH1 the other day.... I had no idea this was a "country" group, in fact I mistook this to be the new song by David Gray at first!
