Has a hidden track ever been released as a single? Not to my knowledge. But it looks like Lyric Street will do just that as "Skin" by Rascal Flatts will be shipped to country radio in a few short weeks.
:)Let the discussion begin.....

The song may very well be one of the best songs I have heard from Rascal Flatts. Fan response has been huge to this song so I think it should be released.

They'll no doubt have to release it as a CD single to retail.

Kind of dumb, as I don't see this helping album sales. People who like the song and don't own "Feels Like Today" will go to a store, look for "Skin" on a CD, and then not purchase the album.
If I were them I would put out a limited edition CD like the pop artists with "Skin" listed as a track. Tack another new song on there, and the FLT album will hit triple platinum in no time.

I read somehere and posted it on another topic about Rascal Flatts having it in their contract that they can only have a certain amount of songs on their albums. Why? I don't know. I also don't know if this would stop them from doing a re-release and adding the song to the track listing. It would be neat if they put all the bonus tracks from the cd like "Don't Get Hooked on Me" and "The Man In Love With You" and added Skin to the mix. That way fans that bought the album could get all the bonus stuff that the could only get by buying multiple copies from different outlets and new listeners could get Skin and hear some early RF stuff.
I am glad they are releasing this (if they are). This album is really good and it will open the doors to a lot more fans. They should have a new single ready to mail out as soon as Skin starts falling to capitilize on this and their next album will be huge!

Has anyone heard what the official add date is for "Skin"? I see on the MB chart today that they have moved it back from recurrent status to #47. I was wondering when the song would be eligible to chart on BB again. I don't know if they'll wait for the official add date or if they'd bring it back sooner if it starts gaining in audience and spins before the add date.

Has anyone heard what the official add date is for "Skin"? I heard through the grapevine August 15th, but I don't believe I've seen anything set in stone yet.

My station already had it spinning 50 times a week for a couple months. It makes me wonder if they will bring it back when it is officially released. That would be pretty lame. I heard it everytime I turned on the radio.
