And with that, RIP to "Signs" and "One Mississippi." Yup, they will remain amazing album tracks. Probably the best decision for him though, a new album should help continue his momentum.

Kenny Chesney to release "The Big Revival" on Sep. 23, via source TheBoot.com Collaborations with Allison Krauss, Dan Tyminski and Grace Potter
The Allison/Dan collabo could mean a killer acoustic/rootsy/bluegrass track
Kind of pumped for this....

I wonder if the title track is the same song that John Anderson, Joanna Cotten, & Mongtomery Gentry recorded? If so I'd like to see it released as a single even if I don't think Kenny's will match any of those 3 takes. I just really love the song and much like "El Ceritto Place" & "You & Tequila" I'd just like to see it finally become a hit.

However, I think Sammy Kershaw could kill The One I Loved Back Then The Corvette Song.

Since Ms. Sweeney's scintillating debut CD still gets played A TON by yours truly, rest assured that given that ridiculously deep collection of A-list songwriters she's chosen to collaborate with this time around (smart young lady isn't she?), suffice it to say that August 5th cannot get here soon enough.

I don't think there's been a tracklist for Tim McGraw's 'Sundown Heaven Town' yet and while I don't have the tracklist I did just do a survey for 16 tracks from Tim. They for the most part were great, some of the strongest material from a format superstar in a long time. There was really only one other clunker of the songs.
I'll list them out here in the order I listened to them.
01. Diamond Rings And Old Barstools 02. Keep On Truckin' 03. Words Are Medicine 04. City Lights 05. Last Turn Home 06. Black Jacket 07. Dust 08. Sick Of Me 09. Overrated 10. I'm Feelin' You 11. Portland Maine 12. Lincoln Continentals And Cadillacs 13. The View 14. Kids Today 15. Still On The Line 16. Shotgun Rider
If I were to rank the songs (based on the 90 second clips obviously.) I'd go like so. 01. Sick Of Me 02. Diamond Rings And Old Barstools 03. Overrated 04. Portland Maine 05. Meanwhile Back At Mama's 06. Black Jacket 07. Keep On Truckin' 08. City Lights 09. Lincoln Continentals And Cadillacs 10. Last Turn Home 11. Shotgun Rider 12. Kids Today 13. Still On The Line 14. Dust 15. Words Are Medicine 16. The View 17. I'm Feelin' You 18. Lookin' For That Girl
Overall I think this'll be his strongest album since 'Set This Circus Down'.

^ Wow. If "Meanwhile Back At Mama's" is only the fifth best song on the album, I'll be thrilled.

In my opinion it is at the very least I'm not sure how our tastes line up but I hope you like it as much as I did. "Meanwhile Back At Mama's" is probably the 2nd most tradicional sounding. "Dimaond Rings And Barstools" being the most. But I'm not always a stickler for pure traditionalism. Tim sounds like he's having fun on a lot of the tracks and much like the best songs on 'Two Lanes Of Freedom' it's his choices in picking really great lyrical songs that make me excited to hear the full tracks. "Sick Of Me" is my favorite because I appreciate the hook a lot, "I'm sick of me too" is the hook line. It's got a great production to it and we don't get to see a slightly more playful side of Tim all that often. "Portland Maine" reminded me a lot of Emerson Drive's "Moments" sound wise, but I just really loved the mood on that one. Really the only songs I disliked were "The View" which was a good album track but reminded me of Brad Paisley's "romantic" songs like "The World", "She's Everything" & "Then" and those have always been some of my least favorites. And then I also really disliked "I'm Feelin' You" which was just a basic radio filler song. It contained lyrics about a girl sliding over real close on a dirt road while they roll and he's feelin' her or something. (That sounds more vulgar than I meant it to lol I'm horrible at explaining things sometimes ) I loved it overall and Really can't wait for the album now. (The rest of the songs outside the 90second previews better be good lol) P.S. I don't think it was meant to happen but the previews downloaded onto my computer when I did the survey. The only song that didn't do so was "Words Are Medicine".

That list of songs has me excited for Tim's new album. A lot of those titles sound very promising, and I love that there's 16 songs listed aside from the two singles. Does this mean all of them will make the album?

Does this mean all of them will make the album? I'm not sure they just had me listen to them all and give my opinion. It'd be a long album if all of them make it. I think they're going to make some bonus tracks and maybe this feedback will determine wich ones? If they cut 4 songs I'd cut my bottom 4. (Leaving "Lookin' For That Girl" due to its single status.)

I can get why some may not like the ones I do and like the ones i don't but I didn't think there was an audience for "Words". Obviously I was wrong but I'm always interested to hear differences of opinion on songs. Especially ones that I was left confused by.

I heard them in a different order but I figured I'd add my rank: (adding LFTG, MBM) 01. Overrated 02. Diamond Rings And Old Barstools 03. City Lights 04. Meanwhile Back At Mamas 05. Black Jacket 06. Last Turn Home 07. Dust 08. Words Are Medicine 09. Keep On Truckin' 10. Lincoln Continentals And Cadillacs 11. Sick of Me 12. Still On The Line 13. Lookin For That Girl 14. Kids Today 15. The View 16. Shotgun Rider 17. I'm Feelin' You 18. Portland Maine Just from the previews I wasn't really satisfied with the tracks. I heard Overrated, Keep On Truckin', and City Lights at his show. Love Overrated and they did a great job from what I've heard. I liked Keep On Truckin' in concert but didn't care for the production on the studio track. City Lights is awesome period, just off those three I was anticipating better.

Can some country fans here let me know what "superstar" releases are coming out?
I have Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Florida Georgia Line. None are on the schedule yet...
I'm talking albums that will scan 600k+.
Tim McGraw probably won't.
Is Jason Aldean putting out an album?
Zac Brown Band?
Garth Brooks?
Look like we might have Blake Shelton album now.
