I'm not feeling the Sunny Sweeney CD cover. It looks like she's possessed!

I wonder if "Silver and Gold" is a cover of Dolly's 1991 hit. I believe it was her last solo top 20. They would sound so good on that song!

I wonder if "Silver and Gold" is a cover of Dolly's 1991 hit. I believe it was her last solo top 20. They would sound so good on that song! It's written by Jedd Hughes, Jay Joyce, Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild. So definitely not the same song. Songwriting credits for all the songs can be found in the press release here.

Keep comin here checking for Jason Aldean's new song. When's it dropping? Well, this is the upcoming albums thread, so you're not likely to find any Jason Aldean single news posted here.. ;) It's not confirmed yet when Jason's new song will hit radio but it's rumored to be next Tuesday, the 22nd.

Gary Allan is currently working on his follow up album to Set You Free. He will once again be working with producers Mark Wright, Jay Joyce and Greg Droman. Gary says things will be a little bit different this time. Source

Yay new music from Sarah Buxton! I was hoping for more solo material soon but anything she's involved in I love so I'm happy! Also I've heard great things about Kate York and Daniel Tashian so definatley looking forward to getting to know them. And this is the first I've heard of Ian Fitchuk but I'm sure he's great since everybody else in the band is. So happy right now! :)

Kenny Chesney"The Big Revival" 9/23/14
1. The Big Revival 2. Drink It Up 3. Til It's Gone 4. American Kids 5. Wild Child - with Grace Potter 6. Beer Can Chicken 7. Rock Bottom 8. Don't It 9. Save It For A Rainy Day 10. Flora-Bama 11. If This Bus Could Talk
Looks like that Windmill report a few months back was correct on a couple tracks being titled "If This Bus Could Talk" and "Beer Can Chicken". Is "Til It's Gone" the same as Tebey's top 10 Canadian hit from 2013? Wasn't there an Alison Krauss Collab talked about?

Wasn't there an Alison Krauss Collab talked about? It's probably just her doing harmonies and most times the background vocalists aren't listed as featured artists. I would guess that Grace Potter's part in "Wild Child" will be big enough to warrant her credit as a featured artist (like she was for "You And Tequila" but NOT for "El Cerrito Place").

Part of me was like "Another song with Grace Potter?" but OTOH, his prior two are the only songs of his that don't have me changing the station, so maybe he'll add a third to that list.

I had no idea Grace did background vocals on El Cerrito Place. Good to know, though, I'll enjoy the song even more if possible

Sarah and Kate have both written a few songs for the show "Nashville" (together and separately), so it doesn't surprise me they are working together. Never heard of the guys, but I will definitely check out the EP!!

LeAnn Rimes will be releasing an album of dance remixes of many of her biggest hits called "Dance Like You Don't Give A...- Greatest Hits Remixes" on August 5.

I am one of the few who defends LeAnn, but not only is this album cover awful, I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy remixed songs that were popular 15 years ago.

Actually Curb is being disingenuous with the title "Greatest Hits" on this album (imagine that?). The tracklist has very few actual hits and is comprised of mostly remixes of her more recent output. I'm far , far from being a dance music fan but I sampled "Help Me Make It Through The Night" and it was pretty horrible .

The album cover is pretty awful, but I thought the same about the one for Spitfire, so I'm not too surprised. And like Uncle Lumpy said, the selections on it lean more towards the latter half of her career.

Poor LeAnn. Looks like Curb is going to do to her what they did to Tim (try to release endless compilation packages).

Poor LeAnn. Looks like Curb is going to do to her what they did to Tim (try to release endless compilation packages). It's their prerogative as the owners of the masters. Curb makes a killing on compilations and re-packaged material. While it sucks for the artists like LeAnn and Tim that the material they recorded is used this way, it's not an uncommon practice. Look at all of the new "ICON" series of albums released by UMG's UMe after the merger with EMI's catalog. ALL labels do stuff like this.

I love the album cover for Lady A's latest! I'm curious to hear how the album material sounds though based on my dislike of "Bartender." Between my mom and I we own all of their prior releases though, and while I loved Golden (my personal fave of their 4 CDs), I was not a fan of "Compass" and it kind of stands as the one weak link on the record for me, so I'm hoping that "Bartender" is a similar exception on 747 and the rest of the material resonates better with me.

Better album cover than I anticipated from Lady A, but I really hope that everything goes much more smoothly this go round. I'm quietly shaking in my boots thinking about how it could sound.

I think that this album is pivotal for Lady A...how it does could determine the path that their career takes. I hope that it continues along the same path that Golden took.
