The Shania Twain ICON CD now has a release of January 13, 2015 - instead of September 9??? I am not sure why labels keep releasing albums like this when she already has a Greatest Hits. Because they make money as impulse purchases and not everyone has the Greatest Hits. Sometimes it's just re-packaged too. Yeah those things are the biggest scams. They don't record any new material for most of them, just repackage old songs and they're so easy to make a profit from. Although, since iTunes and Spotify have arrived they have certainly sold less. But some greatest hits CDs have been the biggest selling CDs, like Guns N Roses Greatest Hits and Journeys Greatest Hits.

^ Regarding the Swon Brothers debut album - I think Arista Nashville was listening to jhomes87 in the "Later On" thread. ;) I'm happy for them that their debut record will be released. After the unfortunate situation with The Henningsens not releasing their debut even though they had a top 15 single with "American Beautiful, along with other artists the past two or three years who just missed getting an album out (James Wesley) or were mismanaged and their debuts never saw a release (Greg Bates). That Bates one still irritates me. I understand that BMLG tried that approach a few times and really only got burned by "Did It For The Girl", but it's still disappointing. Anyway, congrats to the Swon Brothers.

In addition to Tacoma and People Loving People (The first single from Garth's upcoming CD). A songwriter confirmed he also recorded a song called, "When The Sun Shines Too". It was written by Jason Matthews who also wrote, "Must Be Doin Something Right" and "Country Man" here is a link to a version by someone earlier in the year. youtu.be/FtsGmvwCdtw

Laura Bell Bundy will release a new album entitled Another Piece of Me early in 2015. Source Awesome news! It retains the same name of the album she was originally expected to release as her follow-up on Mercury Nashville in 2012, but I imagine that now being on Big Machine that the content will probably have been changed. I'm curious how that'll shape up. Achin' and Shakin' is an incredibly solid album imo and I've been looking forward to another album from LBB ever since. Glad that Big Machine will be letting her get new music out there, even though it seems like she's never going to be able to break into the country market.

I love the EP too. "Breakup in a Small Town" is my favorite new jam. Can't wait for "Montevallo" (hopefully that's also the name of a brand new song).

I'm curious to see if it will actually be Big Machine releasing the album, though. She may have only been temporary signed since they were promoting the Dance Y'all crew at the time. Or it's possible that they'll keep her on the roster but maybe she releases this independently, too (and of course the 3rd option would be Big Machine releasing it but I'm just saying we'll have to wait and see on that part). In any case, good for LBB hopefully getting another album out there.

You can help fund Chely Wright's album here. I've been writing a lot of songs in the past few years and I'm ready to start recording my next album. I need your help. We're officially kicking off my Kickstarter Campaign. I will make a record in the same way I've always made records—using the best musicians, the best engineers and recording in the best studios available. The only difference this time around is that we are choosing to harness the "power of the people" to fund my album.
For my past couple of releases, the budget for simply producing and manufacturing my records has been around $200,000. And then, the record label invests hundreds of thousands more in marketing and promotion. When I was on major labels, these dollar amounts were nearly doubled. So what I'm saying is that I want to make a great album of great songs and to do that, we need to reach our goal.

Little Big Town's Pain Killer album cover. Let's see. Tornado is certified platinum and thus, made Capitol some money. Is this the best CD cover they could come up with? It looks like it was shot in a hallway or worse, a bathroom! You can barely see Little Big Town.

Yeah, I'm definitely disappointed as well that Trisha kept us waiting all these years just to release another Greatest Hits package. But I am still looking forward to new music from her again regardless, and seeing how well her return to the spotlight goes. I'm a little late to this, but these is my thoughts exactly. I'm disappointed that it's taken so long to release another greatest hits, but since there are a number of new songs, I'm still looking forward to getting it. I really would prefer if it were all new material, though.

You can barely see Little Big Town. I think it's a great cover. It was obviously purposefully lit and shot like that. It's very creative and unique.

I too think Pain Killer is a great album cover. The dim lit red theme was obviously on purpose and gives the cover a distinct uniqueness.

Black River Entertainment recording artist Glen Templeton has just released his new 5 song digital EP titled Let Her Go. The EP includes 5 songs including the Highway find from late 2013 "Ball Cap", and the recent Highway add "Let Her Go". Neither song though has yet to have been officially pushed as singles to terrestrial country radio though. It also includes his 2012 single "Sing That Song Again".
This is the title track and cover art.
Track Listing:
1. Let Her Go 2. Ball Cap 3. Anyone Else 4. I'm In Love With Your Girl 5. Sing That Song Again
