All great artists, but from this group, my #1 is easy. Gary Allan...that guy has one of the best voices, and he is so underrated. He sings with such raw emotion, and his material is almost all of excellent quality. I love the other 3 as well. I would probably rank them:
01 Gary Allan 02 Sara Evans 03 David Nail 04 Chris Young
Chris is great but I haven't liked any of his albums quite as much as I like David's The Sound Of A Million Dreams, and Sara has recorded quite a few really good songs over the past 10+ years. I remember really loving songs like "I Keep Looking" and "Born To Fly", among others.

Ooh...now it's getting intense! I love it! Each of these artists are talented in their own right, so I ranked them with respect to which ones I'd put in a randomly mixed playlist for a walk down my road, a workout, or even a road trip.
1) Gary Allan 2) Chris Young 3) Sara Evans 4) David Nail (haven't checked out his material thoroughly yet)

Gary might be my favorite artist ever. Others I love like Brad, Sugarland, Big & Rich have either taken a wrong direction, split up, or totally lost what they were able to capture early in their career. But Gary has stayed consistent throughout the years. His Tough All Over album was outstanding and was a travesty it didn't win a CMA or ACM for best album. Such a unique voice. Great instrumentation, and the unmatched emotion in his vocals that captured my attention every time. If this poll was him against the giants (Luke, Kenny, Urban, Aldean, Carrie), Id still chose him without hesitation.
Sara has always been in my top 5 since I was a kid. Not just the whole crush thing (I was like 12, so at least I have an excuse), but I have never disliked any song of hers. "Suds In The Bucket" might be my favorite upbeat country song I've ever heard. And her Restless, and Real Fine Place albums are still in heavy rotation in my car. Such a pleasant voice to listen to. "Backseat Of A Greyhound Bus" is by far her most underrated song and maybe her best vocal performance.
