That was a great tribute! Kelly sounded fantastic. Loved hearing her on Fancy! Reba is just amazing and so deserving.

Kelly and Miranda sounded great together. Kelly sounded amazing during her solo performance. I loved it when Reba joined them for Fancy.

Courtesy bixblitz at the KCE re. The American Country Countdown performance... Thank you. I loved the performance- was especially impressed with Miranda's performance. I LOVE Kelly' even more than usual soulful voice post-pregnancy, but she doesn't seem as confident in her upper chest range as she was during the 'Greatest Hits' and 'Wrapped' eras. Thoughts ?

I LOVE Kelly' even more than usual soulful voice post-pregnancy, but she doesn't seem as confident in her upper chest range as she was during the 'Greatest Hits' and 'Wrapped' eras. Thoughts ? Seemed more like a lack of her usual energy than a lack of confidence. She sounded great and seemed like she was in good spirits, but I could not help but feel her tiredness, and being tired probably = not going for the money notes like she might if she were feeling 100%. I think that's my only "real" concern for this next era; not really a huge worry (because I am sure she is not going to let anyone wear her down to the point of exhaustion) but an awareness that there will be days where a lower than usual level of energy is unavoidable. I don't think the casual observer would notice, though.

Posters on ATRL are tossing around the name "Sensation" for the first single, and that it might actually be a solo song, not a duet. Take that with a grain of salt though.

I don't remember getting any info that the first single was the duet, did I miss something? I believe she said during a radio interview that the duet was the first single, but she may have misspoke or they changed their minds. I hope they do--ideally, they can come up with a strong first single and then this duet can be another strong, if not stronger, second single to help give the project legs and more momentum.

There was also a fan report from a meet and greet, IIRC.

So I've been playing WIR(album) for the last couple of days on repeat and I just gotta say that I really love her voice on "Just for Now". I love the whole album but that one, WIR(song) and HYaMLC are my three favorites. Top 5 would include "Blue Xmas" and "4 Carats" which I really like for some reason I can't pinpoint. i think that "Just For Now" is definitely one of the best recorded songs from her.

We have known the duet is not the first single. That came straight from Kelly's mouth. The fan could have been lying but that would be an odd lie to make up.

I'm a fan of Kelly. I think she's one of the best singers out there today, and I hope radio welcomes her...but did anyone see her on the ACCAs last night? Girl needs to change her image, especially that hair color. She looks horrible.

I give her props for still making all these appearences here and there before losing some of the weight she gained while pregnant. A lot of celebrities would just disappear and then weeks and months later you see them on the cover of magazines talking about how they lost the baby fat. I'm curious to hear her comment about her weight now. I think she gave a great vocal performance at the Reba tribute, she sounded amazing with Miranda, her hair and make-up were fine, the dress was not the most flatering thing she wore but I don't really care. Can't wait for the new single!
I'm sure her weight is going to generate a lot of talk when the new song comes out in january and she starts promoting on tv shows. Cuz let's be realistic, I don't see her or you or me losing any weight during the holidays. See, she's just like us.

I went back to work at the local theater yesterday for Christmas break, and as I was cleaning one of the theaters, the Front and Center thing came on. About a minute in, I heard some awesome jazzy/orchestral intro for a song that sounded so familiar. Then the vocals started playing. It was Kelly's "My Favorite Things"! I was way too excited to hear it! Also, this means any theater in the country that plays Front and Center is playing it as well!

I would pay big bucks to see her performing just xmas songs in an intimate venue. Maybe even twist up a few of her biggest hits with more bells and whistles for the season too.

On the music front, we’ve got the 20 albums you can’t miss this year (including new releases from Rihanna, Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Florence + the Machine, Modest Mouse, and Kelly Clarkson) SourceHopefully they have some new info on the album in the magazine.

YESSS to all of these. Tinashe, Azealia Banks, Keisza and Imogen Heap are the only artist to release this year that have albums I love from start to finish. This year is gonna be great

This is making the rounds now, but I have some doubts that it's real. For one, last we heard, none of the Sia songs were chosen for the album. I'm also dubious about a Max Martin lead single, even if I am absolutely here for Shellback. That part makes me think this list is by some stan who liked 1989 too much.

Would shock me if she didn't write with Jason or Aben.
