Eh. Had to join the bandwagon sometime ;)
Basically another one of these personal charts with 50 of my top songs for the week. I have done this before on Tumblr: for the charts before (and I will be cross-referencing them, you can bet your money on it),the previous ST50 charts.
What Ya Gotta Know:
1.) Usually limited to singles in play, unless it's an album track predicted by me to be a single or a promo single in any country. Country of origin doesn't matter (though usually the US and UK gain popularity from me).
2.) I use a triangular point system for this:
Position Points:
1: 1275
2: 1225
3: 1176
4: 1128
5: 1081
6: 1035
7: 990
8: 946
9: 903
10: 861
11: 820
12: 780
13: 741
14: 703
15: 666
16: 630
17: 595
18: 561
19: 528
20: 496
21: 465
22: 435
23: 406
24: 378
25: 351
26: 325
27: 300
28: 276
29: 253
30: 231
31: 210
32: 190
33: 171
34: 153
35: 136
36: 115
37: 99
38: 85
39: 72
40: 61
41: 51
42: 42
43: 35
44: 28
45: 21
46: 15
47: 10
48: 6
49: 3
50: 1
Certifications:
Silver: 3000
Gold: 4500
Platinum: 6000
2x Platinum: 8250
3x Platinum: 10500
4x Platinum: 12750
5x Platinum: 15000
6x Platinum: 17250
7x Platinum: 19500
8x Platinum: 21750
9x Platinum: 24000
Diamond (10x+ Platinum): 26250
Nx Platinum: 6000 + (2250)(N)
3.) Key usually goes like this:
(LW.) TW.) (WOC) Artist - Song Title (Points - Certification)
For example:
(3.) 1.) (5) One Direction - Story Of My Life *2 weeks @ #1* (6218 - Platinum)
(2.) 2.) (8) Pitbull & Ke$ha - Timber (9189 - 2x Platinum)
(4.) 3.) (6) Lady Gaga & R. Kelly - Do What U Want *2 weeks @ #1* (7304 - Platinum)
Recently, two changes have occurred within the chart (which is weird that I'd be doing this in my early stages of Pulse but whatevs):
1.) A new color scheme indicates whether or not a song has a bullet. The blue indicates that the song has a bullet, where red says otherwise.
2.) A new streaming multiplier has been added since the February 17 chart, mainly due to Spotify becoming one of my main gateways to music. Songs would gain a multiplier to their point gain depending on how much Spotify or iTube plays (mainly for songs not released to Spotify, for example, Asher Monroe's "Memory") the song gets. So far, the multiplier allowed two records to be bypassed: the song with the most point debut ("Partition") and the first song to skip a certification tier ("Junkie"). The gold bullet represents the song that leads in streaming for the week.
First chart of the year on the next post!
