Interesting...I was expecting that there would be a new #1 this week. I didn't know if it would be OneRepublic or Pitbull, but didn't think Eminem would be getting another week. My prediction -- Pitbull takes over next week and OneRepublic have to settle for a #2 peak.

This chart is typically 2 weeks behind so there's a good chance that OneRepublic will get a shot at #1 next week.

The new show is on the AT40 channel on iHeartRadio right now. It appears it started about 11:30 a.m. EST.
Update: The show is playing again starting at 3:54 p.m. EST. After #38 the countdown jumped to #30. Also, they are playing a lot of unusual extras between segments -- not the usual extras that are part of the show. It looks like they're trying to pad the show to four hours like they used to. But they are playing longer, live versions of mostly hip-hop songs. Very strange.

Urgh I'm still holding out for Chris Wallace to be 'On The Verge' or something, I just really want some kind of AT40-fueled kickstart to really get 'Keep Me Crazy' moving. Happy to see The 1975 make the top 40 though. :)

This chart is typically 2 weeks behind so there's a good chance that OneRepublic will get a shot at #1 next week. I'd have thought this would match up to the 1/12 Mediabase chart, whereupon this should have been their shot at #1. Then again, they didn't hit #1 until that Sunday, which only tells me that we're back to the mid-week charts again. And given Seacrest's apparent upcoming appearances elsewhere in addition to Idol, one has to wonder if the next few weeks will be somewhat erratic in chart scheduling. Update: The show is playing again starting at 3:54 p.m. EST. 3:54 you say? I tuned in and "Cupid's Chokehold" was playing. Now they're back to the show...and #30 is playing. The recent kinks still aren't ironed out of the station, methinks.

The show has started again at 7 p.m. EST.
I hope they play #37-31 this time. They skipped those segments before.

Ugh, at Eminem and Rihanna having the #1 song again this week. I hope that OneRepublic doesn't get screwed out of the #1 spot just like Selena did back in June of last year. The #1 song next week should be "Counting Stars".

When introducing #1, Ryan mentioned that Rihanna follows Madonna, The Beatles and Elvis as the only acts to have #1 hits in 7 consecutive years. Rihanna's is from 2008-2014.
Although not mentioned, Madonna's was from 1989-1995. I assume the Beatles' record was from 1964-1970 and Elvis's was probably in the 50s and 60s.

And Rihanna would have beaten them all with 9 straight years of #1's if "Umbrella" had gone one notch higher in 2007. In addition, if "Pon de Replay" had also done so in 2005 she'd have 10.

Fairly slow week again. There are still 7 songs in the lower 20 which have been on more than 20 weeks. Maybe there should be a mild recurrent rule like 35 or 40 weeks maximum on the chart. We get a second jackpot in a row, this time at #9. And besides The Monster getting that third week at the top, Summertime Sadness, Blurred Lines, and Demons are stuck in their positions for 3 consecutive weeks. Rihanna is so amazing. What a superstar! And all this just shy of her 26th birthday(on 2/20). I wonder what she'll do in the next 20 years or so.
