This is the most generic, contrived, song and production I've heard in years. I'm not trying to be mean, that is just my honest opinion. This is why people aren't buying albums.

This song is GREAT FUN and should help Shannon make a name for herself after radio and record company were too stupid to promore her when she released I Won't Lie. MAN this lady can sing.

Has "Cornfed" been released to radio yet? If it has, how's it doing? What other labels has Shannon been on? I hope she does well this time!

I believe she was with Arista in the past but not 100% sure. This single was supposed to be released to radio this wk. I hope it does well also.

Another John Rich song; that in itself is beginning to be a turn-off, unfortunately.

I'm getting better at recognizing the Rich songs, but I didn't spot this one. I agree, they're a plague, and they'll be around for a while. I wish Shannon success, but this song is not one I ever want to hear again. Of the current crop of redneck boondock hicktown jackedup cornfed songs, I enjoy only the one by Little Big Town, and Craig Morgan's isn't bad.

I'm in total agreement here (except the Craig Morgan song which I don't particularly care for.) This is Shannon's THIRD record deal. She's definitely got the drive to stick with it, and she is a genuinely great vocalist, but something has just not connected for her either with radio or the fans. and I'm afraid it may not again. I hope there's a better song on this album, but this one ain't it.

I heard it on XM earlier this evening. Not bad, but nothing that grabbed me.

It's featured on the Radio & Records EPK.

Is Cornfed starting a faster move upward? Has anyone seen Shannon's video on CMT yet?

Close to Cleveland for a breast cancer awareness concert with Phil Vassar, Amber Dotson, Danielle Peck and Jo Dee Messina. I was suppose to go but the tickets sold out before I had a chance to pick one up for $25. Word is as well even though I doubt it applies here at all her Husband Shuan Silva ( video director) will be in tow with her filming some stuff for her site.

I really hope this song gets her some attention. It looks like it's getting the most plays in Dallas, Rochester and Oklahoma City.

Yucky. I don't like it at all. I agree with Bigchief above.

I don't like this song.
I should have known it was a Rich song. It sounds like one...and the video is...loud. I guess that's the word I'm looking for. It's more like a rock video, with a cornfield as the setting.
Plus, towards the end of the song, she is screaming, not singing. When she screams "GOD's GREEN EARTH!" I just cringe.
She sounds way out of her range there. JMO.
