I'm no expert on these charts, so I may be wrong, but looking at kworb, "Look at You" has a bullet of +109 which is way better than any other song around it. Starting to look like a top 20 hit. No, that's the "bullet+" column, which doesn't really mean anything--it's just the change in the bullet (7-day spincrease) from day-to-day. If you look at yesterday's update, Big & Rich had a -104 in the bullet+ column. Their actual bullet yesterday (just the "bullet" column) was 7, meaning they'd only added 7 spins from the 18th through the 24th compared to the prior week, the 11th through the 17th. Today, since the bullet+ column shows a +109, their bullet went from just 7 yesterday to 116 today (109 + 7 = 116). I'm not sure what the cause is of such a sharp daily fluctuation in a 7-day rolling number, but they've apparently had some goofy Monday updates for the last couple of weeks, for whatever reason. Anyway, so their bullet is actually 116 today, which isn't too bad, but it's more indicative of a slow-mover. Keith Urban (who's right behind them) has a 7-day spincrease of 401, for example. Little Big Town--just ahead of B&R--has a bullet of 298. Eric Church has been moving slowly as well but even he has a bullet of 192 right now. And Maddie & Tae's "Girl In A Country Song" is coming up fast, with a 7-day spincrease of 576. I do think "Look At You" can make the top 20 but it's a few weeks off yet. They're #23 on the new Billboard chart, but there's no way they'll get to the top 20 before Keith Urban does, and Maddie & Tae will probably jump LAY as well. Figured I was missing something, thanks for the clarification!

Up to #17 on today's rolling chart. Not sure how much gas it has left in the tank, but a top 10 peak doesn't seem completely out of the question.

Gotta say, the trend of not following the lyrics of the song in music videos is something I'm tired of. I love the imagery of a song and I want to see that storyline play out, not some generic, guy and girl meet and fall for each other story. I mean this song (there are plenty of others, this just happen to be the one I'm speaking up on) is about seeing the girl out and remembering what you had with her...the video is completely different from that. Nonetheless, I do love this song and really love B&R and hope this goes top 10 or better. Big Kenny is so cool to me, his appearance is so Willy Wonka wacky and I love it.

But good for (apparent) product placement ;) I like the video pretty well, I thought it was going to go into a sleazy direction but they stayed away from that thankfully.
I heard a bit of this on radio the other day, until I remembered who it was for a minute I was thinking it was Rascal Flatts. The "rewind" thread of course, also the sound in places

"Thank God For Pain" and "Run Away With You" are both available on iTunes now, so far I've really liked all four of these songs.

I have so much hope for "Look At You"!! I have not been this excited about a song from Big and Rich in awhile. This song should definitely get to top 15 and hopefully even to the top 10 or higher.

As usual I'm late getting around to recent releases. I heard this for the first time on the radio tonight and I enjoy this so much. I haven't been keeping up to date much on its trip up the charts but it looks rather solid. Its been just over ten years since Big & Rich took off and I never would've guessed they'd still be having a hit at radio in 2014. This is quite possibly one of my favorites currently in the top 20 and one I can root for going top 10 if not further.

It's still 11 million behind the #10 song on Billboard and nearly the same amount on MB. Plus, "Look At You" is still 5.5 million behind 15th place Maddie & Tae on MB. "Look At You" is 33 weeks old and has been slowing down since it achieved the top 20. I could see this climbing a couple more spots but I don't see how New Revolution will be able to hang on that long to get a top 10 finish.

This will have its best (and perhaps only) chance at the top 10 coming up, likely the chart that will come out 2 weeks from tonight. "Look At You" held at #13 tonight in its 34th chart week; Miranda & Carrie went recurrent but Parmalee's 37-week-old song finally jumped ahead of LAY (boy, what a battle these two oldies are having!)
At 23.2 million, Big & Rich will probably need 2 big weeks to get into the top 10. I can't imagine them ranking #10 or higher with any less than 28 million in audience. Tonight's #10 song, Keith Urban's SIMC, actually has nearly 33 million, but most times only 29-30 mil is needed to crack the top 10, and Big & Rich will benefit from multiple songs collapsing within the top 10: Chase Rice is done, Luke Bryan is done, FGL is done, and Brantley Gilbert is also nearly done, but all 4 of them won't go recurrent next week. One of them probably will--that gives a top 10 spot to Maddie & Tae--but the others will need another week before they fall out of the top 10 and create a potential opening for Big & Rich.
The problem for B&R? The competition is rapidly closing in. Tim is less than 4 million behind, Brad is only 4.1 mil behind, Carrie is only 5 mil behind, and Kenny is only about 7.5 mil behind.
So I think that Big & Rich's best chance (and it might be their only chance) at the top 10 will be the chart that comes out 2 weeks from tonight. But they need several things to go their way. First off, they have to take care of their own business. They're going to need to show that they can gain at least 4-5 million over the next 2 charts (a pace which, lately, they've fallen well short of. But now that they have a potential route to the top 10, we'll see if New Revolution can get them enough power conversions). Secondly, they need all 4 droppers (FGL, Luke, Chase, and Brantley) to be gone 2 weeks from now (and I do think this can happen). The 1st top 10 opening will go to Maddie & Tae, and the 2nd will probably go to Parmalee unless Big & Rich can re-pass them.
That means B&R would be 3rd in line for a top 10 spot, so the final thing they need to do is hold off at least 3 of their 4 pursuers (Tim, Brad, Carrie, and Kenny). If one of them gets ahead Big & Rich will still have a decent chance to enter the top 10 (again, IF they can get upwards of 28 mil in total audience). But if 2 or more of the pursuers pass them within the next 2 weeks, then I think the window of opportunity will have closed for them, and as a result "Look At You" would likely face a peak of #11 or #12. Three weeks from tonight, the top 10 will probably be locked up again, and I think Tim, Brad, Carrie, and Kenny will have all passed Big & Rich by then.
Of course, if they start downward tomorrow, this is all a moot point. But if they show that they can gain, well, there is a scenario here in which this song could find its way to the top 10. Let's see if they can go out and get it done.

^ I think it's now evident that New Revolution will in fact fight for a top 10 peak the chart week after this upcoming one as you first pointed out jhomes87 :). "Look At You" gained 65 spins today on MB alone after slowing down some of the previous days. Miranda and Carrie already went recurrent on Billboard but are still ahead on MB, though they are now in free fall mode. Luke will officially go recurrent this Sunday as well on MB. I know Parmalee passed Big & Rich on last weeks Billboard chart but if Kenny and John can hang on to this little surge through Sunday, they might re-pass them. Two weeks from now, FGL will go recurrent as well and I suspect Chase Rice will be in free fall mode by then as well. I think that Big & Rich's odds are looking promising to get top 10. The biggest threats right now are what's behind them and not in front of them. Tim's only 1.6 million behind in audience on MB. I think all four of FGL, Luke, Chase, and Brantley (maybe) can go recurrent on Billboard. That would give Big & Rich the top 10 on that chart if they can just keep up the pace over Tim, Brad, and Carrie. The MB top 10 should be slightly easier since I think they will stay ahead of all the competition behind them including Parmalee. I really didn't think that "Look At You" was top 10 bound a few weeks ago but alas, there's a window that has opened up for them and Parmalee. I give all the credit in the world to New Revolution who have worked wonders in the promotion department for this single. No matter where this finishes when it's all said and done, I think this chart run has been a success. If Kenny and John can get top 10, it would be their first top 10 since "Lost In This Moment" in July of 2007, and just their second overall on Billboard and third on R&R/MB as "Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)" got to #7 in the summer of 2004 (#11 on Billboard).

This isn't near my favorite from them, but it's really nice regardless. I do hope it can make the top ten.

No wonder I'm enjoying this so much...I just saw Shannon Lawson listed as a co-writer. I also happened to be listening to "Goodbye On A Bad Day" on one of my usual runs earlier today (had to mention that for sabre14 lol). As for that top 10...looks like I might've called it :)

Their "Gravity" album has some good stuff on it so hopefully the duo and New Revolution can get another single up the charts. "Look At You" was their most-digestible song since, well, "Lost In This Moment." I could see "Lovin' Lately" being the single but their CD sticker also showcased "Brand New Buzz" and "Gravity" as "hit singles" so my guess is it'll be one of these three next for the duo. This song has sold around 300k downloads too. Not great but not bad either.

"Lovin' Lately" will be the follow up. John Rich said as much in an interview on Nashville.com a few weeks back. I agree about both "Lovin' Lately" and "Brand New Buzz" being the likely singles, but man I wish that "That Kind Of Town" could see as shot at radio - though it never would as country radio doesn't treat those certain songs as well lately (ex. "Sleepy Little Town").

Radio's support for "Look at You" and the fantastic job New Revolution has done working this single to radio have really amazed me, especially considering the relatively low digital sales this record has had. I'm pretty confident this will become a top 5 single by early December and I suspect this would have been a solid #1 if sales were a bit higher. It's pretty strange that Big & Rich could only get one top 10 single throughout their entire career with WB but their first single on their own label is going to become their second biggest chart success. As rsmatto noted, this is partially because "Look at You" is probably the most radio-friendly second to "Lost in This Moment," but the situation still seems pretty ironic to me. This chart run has also made me pretty confident that "Just Another Love Song" will become a decent airplay hit.

This chart run has also made me pretty confident that "Just Another Love Song" will become a decent airplay hit. I completely agree about the terrific job that New Revolution has done with "Look At You" but I'm unsure if this can continue to the Top 5. It was really slowing down before the little surge that it's gotten the past few days which indicate to me that New Revolution see's what I see and that a top 10 single is now obtainable the next chart week. It's already 34 weeks old and burnt up a ton of weeks in the 30's and 20's plus like you said the digital sales have been pedestrian for its airplay. It's possible certainly but I wouldn't say I'm overly confident about it. I also don't believe "Just Another Love Song" can achieve the same success or even close to it. Even though New Revolution has gotten "Look At You" this far, the artists that sing the song are well known to radio stations and that recognition definitely helped. Haley & Michaels are a new duo and with a song that doesn't strike a nerve with a ton of people (or at least that's the way I see it), plus half the song is done by a female and yes it's ridiculous that I've come to factor that in. New Revolution has had numerous singles die on them in the 30's and 40's before as well. My prediction for "Just Another Love Song" is to make a run at the top 40. Anything beyond that is just too optimistic in my view.

It'll be interesting to see if Big & Rich (and Parmalee) can hang on to make the top 10. This pulled back ahead of "Close Your Eyes" by moving 13-11*, but they're going to have their work cut out for them. Chase Rice is gone for sure, which opens up one top 10 spot. "Small Town Throwdown" could throw in the towel any day now (and I think that it will soon), which could open up another spot. Florida Georgia Line are also falling, though maybe not enough to be gone next week. BUT, both Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood are climbing very quickly though, and if the current trend holds for next week, both Tim and Carrie will pass both B&R and Parmalee. It'll be interesting to see what happens next week.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next week. FGL's already #8 in spins so they'll easily go recurrent (along with Chase). Otherwise I agree, it should definitely be an interesting week. Big & Rich really need "Small Town Throwdown" to collapse, and I expect that it will. I think Brantley's losses will start snowballing by the middle of the week. Of course, it would also be in Big & Rich's best interest if they could hold off either Tim or Carrie (both would be better) for at least one more week. That would secure them a top 10 berth rather easily. I think they can afford to let one of them get ahead, but if either of them gets ahead, then things could get dicey. Parmalee is a wild-card, too. They slowed up a bit this past week, seemingly content to sit back and see what happens. I definitely don't think they are done yet, though. Stoney Creek has "heading for top 10 and beyond!" and "ready for heavy [rotation]!" ads out in the daily Aircheck emails. Parmalee also has a better label situation than Big & Rich do, so in the end I expect to see "Close Your Eyes" peak higher than "Look At You", even though B&R are back ahead right now. Like I said last week, I think next week's chart is Big & Rich's best (and perhaps only) chance at hitting the top 10. I do think they can get there, but I think just scraping the top 10 is as high as "Look At You" will be able to get. Parmalee, on the other hand, I could see possibly lasting long enough to challenge for the top 5.

It appears "Look At You" will at least be guaranteed a top 10 spot this week on MB. Chase Rice has already fallen below them and FGL will go recurrent. Plus Parmalee and Tim are too far back now to catch them with Big & Rich's bullet now at over 300 spins and gaining each day since last week. "Look At You" will finish at #9 or #8 depending on how far Brantley and co. fall. "Small Town Throwdown" has had the bottom fall out on it now as its lost 529 spins and nearly 5.5 million in audience since Sunday. Brantley's still quite a way's off so it'll be hard for Big & Rich to place ahead of him come the weekend.
This also bodes well for their Billboard top 10 chances. "Look At You" are up 100 spins and nearly 1 million in audience on MB since Sunday and Tim's "Shotgun Rider" is up 200 spins and 1.5 million in audience on MB. I think that two spots will open up on Billboard. One from Chase which is guaranteed and one of FGL or Brantley. Even with one spot opening up I think "Look At You" is still the leader in the clubhouse. Right now Big & Rich just have to keep getting the gains they've been making the past 6 or 7 days and not trip over themselves.

"Look at You" should finish at #8 this week on Mediabase this week, but I'm not sure how the Billboard conversions will look. On Monday's BB chart, "Shotgun Rider" was about 1.5 mil behind Big & Rich and "Something in the Water" was about 2.5 mil behind. Since Tim's single seems to be gaining at about twice the rate of B & R's single and Carrie's seems to be gaining at about three times the rate, either or both of these could pass Big & Rich on Billboard by Monday. I doubt Carrie will quite make the top 10 next week since no one has made the top 10 on Billboard in five weeks since Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night," but I could see B&R finishing at #9 behind Tim McGraw.
Anyway, sabre14 and jhomes87 might be right about "Look at You" settling for a top 10 peak. These sales are just so low that I can't imagine radio would be so "quick" to power this single up this week unless New Revolution is doing a final push and the radio stations know to give the single maximum spins for the next week or two. Maybe New Rev will pull the record after this week. They've already accomplished getting Big & Rich their second biggest chart success with a pretty well-received single by radio. Maybe they'll leave the duo with a decent bit of momentum and good will from radio for getting future singles up the chart by not trying to force this single through the top 10, which would cause a higher burn rate and maybe a bit less good will from PD's. Plus, Big & Rich have a single featuring Tim McGraw on deck, which means it's unlikely their second release will totally whiff.

I doubt Carrie will quite make the top 10 next week since no one has made the top 10 on Billboard in five weeks since Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night," but I could see B&R finishing at #9 behind Tim McGraw. Here's how the songs have all done since Monday on Mediabase: Big & Rich: +1.400 million Parmalee: +1.370 million Tim McGraw: +1.879 million Carrie Underwood: +2.401 million We've got 4 days left to go in the Billboard week, and right now it looks like Big & Rich are gaining at a good enough rate that they'll be able to stay ahead of both Tim and Carrie for one more week. Given the rate of gain over the last 3 days, it looks like "Look At You" is projected to move up to about 27.8 million on Billboard, with Tim finishing just over 27 million and Carrie maybe around 27.3 or 27.4 million. Obviously those projections aren't an exact science, and the numbers will definitely change since we have 4 days to go and I'm only basing the projections on a 3-day sample. But with FGL, Brantley, and Chase all set to go recurrent, I like Big & Rich sneaking up to #8 on Monday's Billboard chart, with Carrie and Tim rounding out the top 10 and Parmalee at #11. Of course, that would likely mean #8 will be the high-water mark for "Look At You". By this time next week I imagine that Tim and Carrie will be ahead. But it does look like Big & Rich are on pace to remain just ahead of them just long enough to nab the #8 spot as we get to the cutoff date and the conclusion of the chart week. Big & Rich is virtually assured to finish no lower than #10 on Monday, though, but more than likely they'll be #8 or possibly #9 if either Tim or Carrie does get ahead. And it does look like Carrie has a pretty good chance to enter the Billboard top 10 in just her 5th chart week (which would be an incredible feat), as long as she can sneak ahead of Parmalee.

I agree that things are now looking very good for this to finish the week in the top 10. Brantley Gilbert's collapse work in their favour, but I think they had a strong enough week to make the top 10 regardless. I think that three spots will open up, with them and Tim and Carrie breaking into the top 10 this week. I bet that'll be as high as they go, but the second biggest hit of their career this far into it is a very good accomplishment.
