Sugarland. Although to be honest, anyone except Big & Rich is fine with me.

Are you implying that Sugarland is pop-country? Hmmm, maybe you should listen to Sugarland and then turn the radio on to a pop station. Tell me: Do you hear a difference? Yes, you say? That's what I thought.

And they are a whole lot more closer to folk than they are to pop.
All this and you are probably a Shania/Faith admirer.
Sugarland flat out deserves it...you can't deny that whether you like them or not.

I base this on MY perception of country music....of the singles Ive heard, NOTHING strikes me as overtly country.Unless you count her singin through her nose....

So tell me, lumpster, what would you consider the song 'Just Might'? Pop? Rap? Rock? R&B? I'm interested to hear your response.

I think it will and should be Sugarland. Dierks Bentley has been successful, but he's been around for 2 1/2 years now, hasn't he? He seems like he's been arounf too long to win. Miranda Lambert is good, but she hasn't made it to the next level yet. Maybe next year. And wasn't Julie Roberts' only minor hit over a year ago? To me, it seems like Sugarland should easily win this.

Alongside Rascal Flatts, they figure to have TWO singles in R&Rs year-end top ten, which should essentially seal the deal.
I'd LOVE for Bentley to win it as well; his single 'My Last Name' is one of the VERY best singles of this decade, but I don't see how Sugarland can't win this award.

I don't recall who was the last NEW artist to have his/her/their two singles finish among the year-end top 10 singles (Clint Black in 1989), but Sugarland deserves this award.
