I think I finally was able to rank Mariah's albums:
Holy Trinity:
1. Daydream 2. Me. I Am Mariah 3. Butterfly
4. Memoirs 5. Emancipation 6. Charmbracelet (Yeah her vocals need to be better but the songwriting and melodies on this are everything)
7. Emotions 8. Rainbow 9. Mariah Carey
10. E=MC2 11. Music Box
Even the last two albums are great honestly. She does not have one bad album. And PS I agree that Rainbow is underrated. I really love that one.

I was subtracting the soundtrack and Christmas albums but if I had to place Glitter it would probably be last. If "Didn't Mean To Turn You On" wasn't on it then I would really almost have no need for it. It has some good ballads on it though like "Never Too Far Away" and I like "Funkin' 4 Jamaica."

I Love the "Glitter" soundtrack. "Didn't Mean To Turn You On", "Never To Far" and "Loverboy" are probably in my Top 25/30 Mariah songs. Some of the songs could have been edited a bit in my opinion but I LOVE most of the tracks. I also LOVED "All My Life", "Reflections", "If We" and "Lead The Way". I never got a lot of the dislike for this cd along with "Rainbow". "Rainbow" included one of my favorite Mariah ballads "After Tonight" and one of my favorite MC covers "Against All Odds". I'm probably going to get shot for this but as a whole I like "Rainbow" just as much as "Butterfly". LoL

Rainbow used to be my favorite album. my poblem with Glitter album, specially the uptempos, is all that noise and talking on the background, it ruin the songs, it sounds very polluted. I love All my life, DMTTYO but I can't stand to listen to it because of it. I wish it had an clean version

Glitter totally underrated. REFLECTIONS. LEAD THE WAY. ALL MY LIFE. DIDNT MEAN TO TURN YOU ON.
These songs are all epics and could have been hits.

My top 5 has changed somewhat over time but...there you have it. For the record, I LOVE 1-5 and REALLY like 6-9.
Oh...and as I type this, Melt Away, one of the best songs from Daydream just came on. That song is better than a few of the singles released.

well atleast she's top 20 It'll debut at/around #28 on the Billboard 200. This is probably a somewhat comparable debut to Greatest Hits in 2001, when you factor in the drastic decrease in sales since then and that that was released during the holidays.

Also, I wouldn't expect it to be big...why would her big fans get it? I do kinda want the physical version for the album art/liner notes about the songs, but I have all of her studio albums and a great many of her physical singles from back in the day. Also, I bought Infinity on iTunes. I imagine there are many like me - big fans who already have all the songs. I may buy it down the line but not a huge priority.

"TGIFY" from Saturday night: I wish she wouldn't sort of shade it before performing it since it's a real highlight. She didn't do the latter part of the 1st verse either :( When I saw the show she was actually thanking the fans for getting TGIFY to #1 because it was "one of the harder ones to get and it was all because of the fans that it got there".

The album is the first to house all of the No. 1s, and there was a decent amount of promotion behind it, so I thought it would do a little better. But, maybe it will sell OK over time. By the way- is the album being sold at the Vegas venue?

By the way- is the album being sold at the Vegas venue? Well, the GH has all of those songs, and most of them are also on #1s of course. So, she only had 4 new songs in terms of her previous Sony collections. Not only that, but hits sets are outdated in this age of streaming anyway.
