Is she hinting at her new direction? We got a few jazzy licks on MIAM and now these covers on tour. YESSSSS. Make me purchase a jazz album like only you can, Mariah!

So, it was raining during Mariah's latest concert in Kuala Lumpur and it seems humidity helped her vocals (even Mother Nature is on Mimi's side! ) because I read comments that she sounded really good for this stop too. I haven't watched many videos, though, besides "Always Be My Baby" and "I'll Be There," here: With the exception of "Lullaby of Birdland," the setlist was the same as the past couple of concerts': 1. Across 110th Street 2. Fantasy (Remix) 3. Touch My Body 4. Shake It Off 5. Emotions 6. Cry. 7. Fly Like A Bird 8. Lullaby of Birdland 9. My All 10. Heartbreaker / Beautiful 11. That Chick 12. Honey (Remix) 13. I'll Be There 14. Thirsty 15. Meteorite 16. Hero 17. Supernatural 18. We Belong Together 19. Encore: Always Be My Baby[/u] I really wanted to see her kill "Without You" with rain pouring down her face :'( so that kind of sucked that she didn't do the song. Or "Vision of Love" for that matter. It's strange... now that her voice sounds considerably better, she dropped them. Anyway, I hope she'll spice up the setlist sooner rather than later, at least for the OZ shows. I listened to "Music Box" (the song) earlier and thought this would be a great, off-the-wall song for her to sing. It's one of the lambs' as well as her own favorite album cuts and is in a perfect register for her to do right now. Oh and she wore four new outfits because of the rules in Malaysia: + plus the IBT dress.

Love the "I'll Be There" outfit, she should keep it. Oh and I kinda like the suit-ish one. It should replace the tin foil mess.

I like all her new outfits for this stop. And it went well with the rainy weather too. BTW, someone on UKmix who went to the concert said Mariah told the audience her recent tour look was inspired by Elsa from Frozen, which I kinda see with the hair, etc. I thought that was cute. :)

For the love of GOD drop "Shake It Off" already. I'd be OK with "Anytime You Need A Friend"!

Yeah, to my surprise, I'm really enjoying "Shake it Off" on this tour. I love the intro. I always sing along lol: I gotta shake you off because... I gotta shake you off because... Love the "I'll Be There" outfit, she should keep it. Oh and I kinda like the suit-ish one. It should replace the tin foil mess. I love the one-braid look she's rocking on this tour, lol!!

I didn't think she sounded as good today as her last two shows in china. This today was typical Mariah vocal in this decade. It's what should be expected on the tour.

I was CAPTURED and almost gagged at the "I'll Be There" I don't if it was the flowing pink dress, the mermaid hair sashaying in the wind or the rain falling or that voice. BRAVO bitch!

I mainly loved her "cause if she doesn't" run (always one of my favorite parts of her versions) and then the way she transitioned the "juuuust" and did that run from belting to airy voice (around 3:26).

She was very scant on the tours back in the day- Daydream had just seven dates. Crazy that she didn't have a significant number of dates until (Charmbracelet. The Adv. of Mimi Tour- supporting a far more successful era- had fewer dates, but, still, a lot for her (40).
This new tour should have more than Angels Advocate.

I think she'll add "Through The Rain" in the Philippines, for some reason that I don't know it's her signature hit in here.

Next week marks 20th anniversary of Merry Christmas release. I hope she has something planned to commemorate. Soundscan numbers are around 5.4 million, yes? Considering it was released at the height of BMG and Columbia House boom, I'd say it's shipped at least 6 million by now. Too bad it probably won't ever be certified again. It's last certification (5x platinum) came in January 2003.

I think it'll definitely be certified again....however, I have a feeling it will only be when the Lord takes her home....but I don't even want to think about that.

Mariahs only in her forties. Maybe. I just don't think Sony will certified it(are they the ones who do it?) unless something big happens where the album sees abnormally high sales or something crazy like that. Hopefully they do certify it sooner. MC has a lot of uncertified albums, especially her first one, which should be Diamond at this point.

I think the only certification she's gotten for her Sony work in the past 10 years is some of her Christmas stuff. It's always bothered me that Greatest Hits being a double disk set hasn't been certified 2x platinum. I also wish we knew how close her debut was to a diamond cert.

I know its 9M+(its been this forever) if it hasn't already pass 10M by now. There's been quite a dearth of catalog-album certs in recent years, yes? I wouldn't expect a cert update for the debut, as it hasn't been a big catalog seller.
Merry Christmas, though, I could see getting certified again. And, GH, as mentioned, should be double platinum.

There's very little incentive for Sony to re-certify her albums. Album certifications have become much less meaningful now with the current state of album sales.
