Guess I gotta be the one to say it;
"Wild Wild Love" is kind of flopping. Can we agree? So much for the musical legend Pitbull. At this point in time both "Timber" and "Feel This Moment" were top ten hits. Has Pitbull lost it, or was it the female feature carrying his last several hits all along?
Could the reason for this song doing mediocre be because G.R.L are nobodies and Pitbull simply can't carry the song by himself? Guess it benefits to have Kesha and Xtina on ur tracks. #Oops.

You sound so pressed over the success of this and Pit. :) In first place, Global Warming outsold Warrior and Lotus WW/US, so when you are going to accept that because of Pit those songs smashed? He is the lead artist honey. -Pit has 13 digital top 10 hits in the US. (Timber and FTM are not his only top 10 hits. He has many more.) -Feel this moment went top 10 on iTunes until Pit promoted it on dancing with the stars. The song was flopping on iTunes before the promo.('Dont stop the party' with less airplay was a better digital seller.) -WWLove is doing well in sales and radio without promo or the voice. Pit is relaunching the career of this group and he is doing a great job. -This song is a consistent climber! The bigger they are the harder they fall he says, so Pit career is based on consistency and longevity not high peaks. For this reason, he has 13 years of a successful career.

"Wild Wild Love" should be fine. If anything, the only thing that's been hindering its success was "Mmm Yeah", and even that's been obliterated.

What hinders this on radio is the fact that Timber's AI is on CHR is still in the 30s even as a recurrent, and Mmm Yeah has been getting decent plays as well. It's a lot of Pitbull on the radio. It's hard to come off one massive radio hit to immediately follow up with another, especially when you're somebody like Pitbull that is featured on umpteen other artist's songs that are also competing for airtime.
If you want a Pitbull song that flopped, the one he did with Shakira is pretty much the definition.

Congrats to the talented Armando Christian Perez for another top 35 on the billboard hot 100! This is GRL first top 35, congrats to them as well. This is is the advantage of singing with Pit! He makes your dreams come true! He never flops! The popularity of this song is giving his successful album Global warming a huge boost on iTunes albums too! Global Warming: Meltdown #204 United States +250 Album and single artist baby! :)
Other rising hits on iTunes Mmm yeah is up to 24 on iTunes +8 We are one up to 335 +400
Tomorrow watch Pit at the I heart Radio Awards! The legendary Mr worldwide was invited as always to perform in the most important music awards! :)

The fact that he's #262 literally means nothing, songs/albums that low are barely selling anything... but I do like Wild Wild Love, it's a fun song, and for the first in a while I like BOTH parts instead of just liking the featured artist then changing the station...

The first single off Global Warming, the track he did with Shakira (not counting Back in Time since it was on the MIB3 soundtrack first), peaked at 89...for 1 week... So yes, Pitbull flops. Also 335+400 are going to sell a combined like 1K for the week. That's hardly smashing sales.

Yes, the first single was supposed to be the song with Shakira, Get It Started. And then it flopped basically everywhere and they moved on very quickly to Dont Stop the Party

pnobelysk I admit that some of his singles have under-performed for lack of radio support, but the general public never stopped supporting Pit. The Youtube views show that people cared. Rain over me has almost 500 million views on YouTube. Get it started has almost 60 million views on Vevo. Those under-performing singles didn't kill his momentum, to the contrary, they helped him to keep expanding his fan base.

Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side, keep on the sunny side of life....
Seriously though are you related to/have a child by him? Because the way you talk about him is a little OTT.

Thanks for your good wishes. :) Wild wild love is not commercial or too radio friendly to get that far on the radio, but unlike timber, this song is convincing new people to buy his cd. Global Warming: Meltdown #158 United States +98
Timber was a monster digital hit, but was a terrible album seller. Wild wild love on the other hand, is not even on the album, but it's reviving the album on iTunes. This is what a single should do! It reminds me of back in time and dstp, moderately played on the radio, but great album sellers. 'We are one' sounds like it will be a single and album seller though. It's a song about uniting the world, say no to racism. 'We are one' is better and more instant than WWLove too.

charismatic is extremely vital to Pulse and I won't hear anything to the contrary. Who else is going to go so hard for Mr. Worldwide?! I hope you get to meet him one day, if you haven't already. I own one of his CDs (the one with Rain Over Me, Give Me Everything, etc.) That whole CD was a smash, tbqh. This song is pretty good as well but my favorite song from him so far is probably Feel This Moment with Xtine.

I wouldn't necessarily agree that Wild Wild Love isn't pop friendly, in fact, it's one of the most pop friendly songs I've heard in a while, but I DO LIKE THE SONG! It is pretty good, and I will admit I love a lot of Pitbull's songs, but I do feel like some of his songs are just awful/annoying (Don't Stop the Party, International Love, etc.) But he has a lot of great ones as well (Timber, Wild Wild Love, I Know You Want Me, Hotel Room Service) So Pitbull isn't bad, just overrated in your terms. He's really not much of an album seller, but he's one hell of a single seller!

If you've heard one pitbull song you've heard them all. It's not him that's selling, it's the hooks. How many times can he just say "mr worldwide, 305, dale" in three and a half minutes.

Stop with your jealousy! Pitbull has 50 million likes on facebook 16.4 million followers of Twitter. You wish your favorite had the charisma and the loyal fan base of Pit! It's him the one that sells his music because people is here for him. He sells out shows and can sell albums too when he has the right material and the hits. To reach this level of popularity you need to have charisma, fans, talent and the interest of the general public. :)

Pitbull is overly hated for being so original. He is one of the best artists in the music scene rn, though many people don't give him the respect he deserves & neither does radio quite honestly.

I agree with you! Pitbull has never been a radio darling! If timber stole the number 1 from counting stars was because Pitbull's star power and x factor. Radio was never here for timber when he needed them the most. In order to make timber number 1, Pit had to make a heavy TV promotion in many important TV shows during New Year's Eve and without the help of Kesha. She should be grateful with Pit for giving her another #1. If he was lazy, timber would have peaked at 3 on the billboard, because radio was playing the monster and CS like never before. It was like a battle between radio and Pit's star power. It was sad to see that attitude from radio, but Pit's star power won in the end. :) Mmm yeah is another digital smash that is selling without radio support. This time Pit is featured on Austin's song, but even though Mmm yeah is not having the same promo that Timber had, Mmm yeah is a great digital seller. It's on its way to Platinum in the US. :)

I don't understand how some of you are saying "Wild Wild Love" and "Mmm Yeah" are underperforming on radio. Every song above "Wild Wild Love" that's gaining is higher on iTunes, and every song with a bigger bullet than it is higher on iTunes except for "Birthday" (new Katy Perry), "You & I" (new One Direction), and "She Looks So Perfect" (similar spot on iTunes but lower spins, so a slightly bigger bullet is understandable; plus they're a new boy band with hype). It's still got a decent bullet, and radio is playing it on par with its sales. As for "Mmm Yeah", the situation is similar, but a little different. Every song gaining above it is higher on iTunes (except "Red Lights", but that song being so high is a whole different issue). With less than stellar callout plus the teen act curse, I'm not surprised its peaking, and I don't think radio ignored it.

nick64 Mmm yeah peaked at 2 on iTunes, his highest peak ever and remained in the top 40 for a longer time in comparison to his former singles that used to free fall, but radio ignored that fact and didnt support it. But when other songs like Sing gets a top 8 on iTunes in the first week, radio jumps to over play it. No offense, but sing is no different to Mmm yeah. If Mmm yeah is an imitation of an old song, sing is a rehash of a JT's former hit. Wild wild love is doing well with its current airplay. Actually, with 18 million AI, WWLove made the top 35 on iTunes. Right now, Birthday has almost the same current AI of WWLove, yet BD is in the 60s. If radio started giving WWLove 1 million AI again, surely it would be climbing faster, but the updates has been hot and cold lately, yet it remains steady on iTunes. That shows that Pit can survive without being too overplayed.
