"Mmm Yeah" debuted at #2 on iTunes and spent maybe a day there, due to a week's worth of preorders, then crashed out of the Top 100, before rebounding as radio started to play it. "Sing" quickly reached #3 on iTunes with no preorders and spent close to a week there, and has stayed within and slightly outside the Top 10 since. Not comparable. And I never said "Mmm Yeah" was a rehash of anything. And seriously, you're gonna compare it to a new song by Katy Perry, who's had 11 Top 10 pop hits in a span of 4 years, with 9 of those going to #1? Of course radio's gonna jump on it fast.

MMM yeah didn't crash out the top 100 that fast though. If you compare it to his former singles, MMM yeah was a fighter. It never dropped out from the top 200/300 like his former songs. Actually, it recovered fast when the airplay started. I only made the comparison because the Sing's singer is not established either, but his song is even getting bigger radio updates than Timber and On the Floor. (Keep in mind that "On the floor' only got 83 million AI, yet other forgettable hits with lower sales got over 100 million AI thanks to radio). Pitbull has 13 years of career and a longer trajectory than many new singers, yet everytime he releases a new song, he has to fight for airplay like he is a new artist. Changing the topic: Tonight he won the best collaborator award at the "I heart radio." He deserves it, because he is a super talented artist and great collaborator. So glad that the general public is finally recognizing this guy's music. :))

There's nothing "only" about 83 million AI lol. That's a huge number That's not enough for "On the Floor." 'Team' got 200 million AI, yet it never went top 3 on the billboard like 'On the floor." ;) On the floor was one of the most remembered songs of 2011. It deserved the #1, but radio blocked it. >:( One day, billboard will change the rules and will give more power to the digital sales like in the UK/Australia/Canada. Digital artists like Pitbull will get more hits with higher peaks, because radio won't have the same power to determine which song will be a hit. Songs like 'MMM yeah' will peak in the top 20 thanks to the strong sales. Dale!

Okay, the second one I can DEFINITELY agree on, but only because I will NEVER understand how "Just Can't Get Enough" spent AS MANY WEEKS ON #2 ON CHR like it did. And digital sales have enough power as we speak. "Happy"'s still #1 on Billboard despite the song bleeding spins. If radio had as much power as you said, "Slow Down" would be peaking near the top 10. Pitbull has enough momentum on both radio and sales to keep him going on both areas. Read my lips: PIT SHOULD BE FINE.

I like how 83 million AI for a song is somehow radio cheating him out of a #1.
Songs getting 120+ million AI is something relatively new to pop radio and stems primarily from the fact that nearly all the major markets are controlled by a clear channel.

Lahey's Lucky Star happy remains on top because there's no strong competition like other years to be honest. However, happy started slowly on iTunes until the commercial went viral. Thanks to the commercial the song made the top 20 on iTunes and radio without hesitation started to give it 4 million AI daily. Pit's back in time on the other hand reached the the top 4 on iTunes for weeks and instead of getting power rotation support, radio starts dropping the song, blocking it from reaching the top 10. It hurt me to see Back in time peaking at 11 on the billboard when the song was top 5 everywhere, but the United States. If the digital sales had more weight than the airplay the non generic back in time could have peaked in the top 5, but radio blocked it too. On Slow down: I think slow down peaked high on the charts mostly thanks to the strong airplay. If the digital sales had more weight, Slow down wouldn't have peaked that high, because it was not selling according to the airplay. Mmm yeah on the other hand, could have benefited more if the digital sales had more weight. So, I think that the digital chart is the most honest chart that measures the interest and popularity of an artist. I think that the music industry needs to put a rule over the radio industry, once you make the top 20 or top 30 in sales, radio needs to give priority to those top 30 hits that are currently selling. Mmm yeah has been there for a long time, but instead of respecting the will of the digital's customers, what radio has done with mmm yeah? They keep overplaying the same 4 songs everyday, instead of giving priority to Mmm yeah, because it's selling. Mmm yeah was robbed from making a bigger impact and radio has no excuses. But, I know that not all the radio stations are like that. Special thanks to the honest and fair radio stations that play Pit's songs everyday. :)

This gained audience overall thanks to the solid Rhythmic update, but now when the song is smashing on ITunes, is when radio should be giving it 2 million AI, but again it's the same history with radio. But I'm not going to complain today. Wild wild love will be #13 on pop tonight if they remove the recurrent songs. More good news! Wild wild love peaked at 10 in Australia and is Platinum this week. Also: Wild Wild love is top 10 on iTunes UK: New Guinea 1 United Kingdom 10 :) United States 16 Dale! :)

I predict radio will probably dump this soon. It's a crowded summer with too many potential hits, and this one is getting lost in the shuffle. Dale!
Maybe next year he can get a Rihanna, Beyonce or Miley feature and score a hit. He always seems to do well when an established female artist is featured on his song.

cumulus Your predictions are always off with Pit! You were not the same that said that say something was going to block timber? Hahaha! Pit let you know that ftm smashed because of him. If Timber smashed is because it was an instant hit. The harmonicas never get old! With the right and catchy production, Pit can get a top 10 on his own! Back in time, dstp, I know you want me and hotel room service already proved it! This song is doing better than expected thanks to the star power of a natural star like Pit. This song is not too catchy or instant, yet it's selling great for the lack of radio support. It will outpeak your body next week. Plus, it's not always easy to replicate the success of a number 1 song. Birthday and headlights are flopping on iTunes in comparison to wild wild love, so Juicy J was the reason why dark horse smashed? You are so pressed over the digital success of Pit honey, relax.

iTunes: #16 Wild Wild Love - Pitbull feat. GRL (0.2341 according to KWORB) (Red update) It's normal! The song always decreases from Monday to Wednesday. The good news is that it's taking off on Rhythmic and it's smashing in the UK and Canada! So it could recover on pop later. This is a sleeper hit! #1 Papua New Guinea #8 United Kingdom :) #16 Norway #17 United States #23 Canada +8 P.S We are one continues rising on ITunes US and WW without airplay, it will be a stronger digital seller than WWLove because it's selling well without being a single. Now that we know that Pit is a good digital seller and his songs always does well with minimum airplay, imagine when he has real radio support? So, the FIFA or the label should pay a radio deal for WAR in my opinion! That would be a good investment because we all know that Pit sells singles like crazy when he has a good song on his hands. Breaking news: He will be performing WAO with Jlo at the Billboards, so the promo is coming for that song. Also, 6 billion People will listen to we are one in June! I'm so excited! :)

New Guinea: is the world's second-largest island, after Greenland, covering a land area of 786,000Β km2. Located in the southwest Pacific Ocean! Papua New Guinea shares the island with Indonesia. It has a population of ~7 million people and most live in extreme poverty. The AVERAGE annual income in Papua New Guinea is 11,476 kina per year, which equates to just $4,314 per year. The median income equates to $2,628 per year. yas charismatic teaching us geography <3 ...and now it's economics with allow that. I don't think Pitbull sold more than 50 downloads there this past week.
