This had a great run. It's a shame it didn't peak in the Top 5 though. Will be interesting to see what this songs success will do for Burn The Pages tho. Still a little iffy about it being single #2.

Ditto. Burn the Pages doesn't really have a climax, but I think Big Girls Cry would be risky since it takes a little bit to get its hooks in. And Fire Meet Gasoline is a little same-y to Chandelier with the Sia Triplet Hook: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 = Strike a match, strike a match

Unless something miraculous happens over the next couple of days, No. 10 on Billboard is out of the question. "Rude" is dropping big, but both "Bailando" and "Bang Bang" are within striking distance of overtaking "Chandelier."
Just baffling, really.

Nonsensical, stupid, out of touch, ridiculous, etc. It's as if Sia were Psy or something. This song could've reached top 5 in the hot 100 had radio supported it more. Great song, pop friendly, liked by people who have purchased it and streamed it in high enough numbers. If next RihRih single is a Sia song sung by RihRih trying to imitate Sia like in Diamonds and reaches top 5, I'll be SUPER PISSED >:((

And... that's it.
Unfortunately, there are times when it does have to do with the act itself. In this case, some stations could have had resistance or not given it the play it should have received, despite the consistent sales and streaming showing, just because she's not really an "accessible" pop star. On the positive, kudos to the stations that didn't care about that. A handful and then some played it 100-plus times in a week- right now, WKTU in NY has spun it 126 times in the last seven days.

One day my grandchildren will come up to me, with tears in their eyes, "Grandpa, why didn't Chandelier go Top 10 on Pop? How could people back then let something so terrible happen." And then I'll start weeping uncontrollably and say "I'm so sorry...We were so wrong, so foolish."

One of the great tragedies of the 21st century, really. Makes the world disasters, wars, etc. seem trivial by comparison doesn't it.

It's upsetting but not surprising. Some songs are big on sales during a good while peak high on billboard but radio refuse to make them a big hit. Say something and Let her go were way bigger on billboard than on pop airplay.
This has everything against it, it's not the typical pop song, the lyrics are meaninful instead of the vacuous messages people are use to, and Sia's age (ageism is worse for women) and lack of interest of promoting, didn't help either. At least this didn't became Human part 2, something i feared for a good while

Hopefully it gets some Grammy attention and we get an epic performance there. This is favorite CHR hit of the year.

This should easily get a nomination, hell even win Song of the Year at the Grammys I hope so. It deserves ROTY/SOTY attention but those 2 awards have exclusively been given to world-beating HITS for the last 5 years. "Royals", "Get Lucky", "We Are Young", "Somebody That I Used To Know", "Rolling In The Deep", "Need You Now", "Single Ladies" and "Use Somebody" were all massive, I worry that voters won't pay much attention to something like "Chandelier".

While you do bring up a good point here, I think "Chandelier" is definitely a big enough of a hit to been seen on many radars of the Grammy committees. The song may not have a huge peak or anything, but its longevity is astounding, and it has become a pretty big hit in many parts of the world. Also, "Forget You" was nominated before it became the big hit it was. In fact, the Grammy nod plus the Glee exposure at the same time aided its return to the charts that sent it flying to smash hit status. Beforehand, it had quickly climbed to #16 on CHR and was purged.

If it doesn't get a ROTY nod, it will be an even bigger snub than the one CHR gave it. I think the promo campaign for this has been tailored to get it a nomination. Its success with the public, especially Sales-wise, can only help reach that goal. Releasing the Piano Version now (just before the nomination submission process ends) was definitely done to get the Committee's attention, and it had better work.

I don't know if there's speculation about nominations right now, but this was a big hit and it's a great song, so it will be surprising if it was ignored

As expected, it dipped 11-12 on Billboard's Pop Songs chart. It did debut at 39* on Rhythmic, though.

Done at Pop but is still climbing on Hot AC - up to #17 with a +267 bullet :)
