Love hearing this at the club especially when it's dead. There isn't a single person who is not lipsyncing or dancing along.

Pop Songs*** No. 1 (1 week)*** "Fancy" Iggy Azalea Featuring Charli XCX As Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, rises 2-1 on Pop Songs, it becomes the fourth No. 1 by a female rapper in the airplay survey's 21-year history: Lil' Kim led with "Lady Marmalade," with Christina Aguilera, Mya and P!nk, for nine weeks in 2001; Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" (featuring Gwen Stefani) topped the Aug. 25, 2001, tally; and Missy Elliott ruled as a featured artist on Ciara's "1, 2 Step" for two weeks in 2005. "Fancy" spends a second week atop both Rhythmic Songs and Rap Airplay. I feel like everyone knows this song, but many are still unaware of who actually sings it. She's certainly gaining popularity but hopefully Black Widow or whatever is next solidifies her presence in the US.

This finally grew on me; it took me long enough lmao.
The "I-G-G-Y" parts, especially at the end, are so damn catchy.

1 month at #1 on Hot 100: www.billboard.com/articles/news/6121624/iggy-azalea-fancy-no-1-hot-100-four-weeks-psy-debuts-top-30+ ""Fancy" continues its Hot 100 command aided by its coronation on Radio Songs (2-1). The track surges by 7 percent to 145 million in all-format audience, according to Nielsen BDS. Azalea becomes the first female rapper to lead the list since Shawnna topped the Dec. 6, 2003, tally as featured on Ludacris' "Stand Up." Azalea is the first lead female rapper to rule Radio Songs since Lil' Kim's "Magic Stick," featuring 50 Cent, reigned the week of July 5, 2003. The only other Radio Songs No. 1s by female rappers: Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind," featuring Gwen Stefani (four weeks, 2001) and Lil' Kim's "Lady Marmalade," with Christina Aguilera, Mya and P!nk (six weeks, 2001)."

I feel like everyone knows this song, but many are still unaware of who actually sings it. This may be true, but I think it's less true than it's been of other breakthrough smashes (most people I know still don't know who sang STIUTK ), for a handful of reasons: 1. She raps her name in a prominent part of the song 2. She has a simultaneous second smash, so radio listeners are hearing her name constantly3. She's made quite a few TV appearances, and has enough of a personality that they've definitely helped her. 4. The video is pretty viral, thanks to an A+ concept. 5. "White Australian female rapper becomes huge star" is an interesting enough story that it's being talked about at water coolers, so to speak.

I knew this would become a colossal smash by the time the first second of the song graced my ears. So happy for Iggy for never giving up and managing to make her dream come true!

Iggy Azalea Claims Longest Hot 100 Reign For A Female Rapper With 'Fancy'Iggy Azalea makes history on the Billboard Hot 100, as "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, rewrites the record for the longest-leading No. 1 by a female rapper. With a sixth week at the summit, she passes Lil' Kim, who spent five weeks at No. 1 with the all-star collaboration "Lady Marmalade" in 2001. With her sixth week at No. 1, Azalea now stands alone atop the exclusive list of female rappers who've spent the most time in the lead. Here's an updated look at the mere four such No. 1s, ranked by most weeks on top: 6 weeks, "Fancy," Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX, 2014 5 weeks, "Lady Marmalade," Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya and P!nk, 2001 2 weeks, "Doo Wop (That Thing)," Lauryn Hill, 1998 1 week, "Stand Up," Ludacris featuring Shawnna, 2003 www.billboard.com/articles/news/6143261/hot-100-iggy-azalea-fancy-magic-rude-shawn-mendes

Iggy Azalea's "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, continues its Billboard Hot 100 command, spending a seventh week at No. 1. With her seventh week at No. 1, Azalea moves into a tie for fifth place among lead women who've scored the longest commands on the Hot 100 this decade. Here's an updated look at the smashes by women in lead roles in that span that have spent most time on top: 10 weeks, "We Found Love," Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris, 2011-12 9 weeks, "Royals," Lorde, 2013 9 weeks, "Call Me Maybe," Carly Rae Jepsen, 2012 9 weeks, "TiK ToK," Ke$ha, 2010 7 weeks, "Fancy," Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX, 2014 7 weeks, "Rolling in the Deep," Adele, 2011 "Fancy" has clearly joined elite company: Jepsen's "Maybe" became the top song of the summer of 2012, while Adele's "Deep" took the title as the Hot 100's No. 1 song of 2011. ("Fancy" passes two songs in the 2010s by lead women that each topped the Hot 100 for six weeks: Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" in 2011 and Katy Perry's "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg, in 2010.) "Fancy" maintains its Hot 100 domination with an eighth week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs (10.7 million U.S. streams, down 3 percent, according to Nielsen BDS). It departs the summit on Radio Songs after three weeks at No. 1 (1-3), down by 1 percent to 144 million in all-format audience, according to BDS. On Digital Songs, "Fancy" holds at No. 3 (after leading for four weeks) with 171,000 downloads sold (down 4 percent) in the tracking week ending on July 6, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "Fancy" crowns the sales/airplay/streaming-based Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts for a seventh and 12th week, respectively. It also tops the Songs of the Summer ranking for a sixth week, remaining the only song that has led since the annual seasonal list relaunched after Memorial Day. www.billboard.com/articles/news/6150450/hot-100-iggy-azalea-fancy-maroon-5-maps
