The Fame, Born This Way and ARTPOP all alternate as my favorite album of hers depending on my mood.
The Fame Monster is my least favorite because Speechless, Teeth and Dance in the Dark bring down the album for me.

1. The Fame Monster (perfect, every song is really excellent) 2. Born This Way (sure she started to unravel here, but the music was strong with a distinct and interesting POV, without sacrificing great melodies) 3. The Fame (the singles + "Paper Gangsta" kick this above your average MOTR pop debut album) 4. ARTPOP (a mess that never clicked with me outside the dynamic first two singles; always seemed like a half-baked combination of Born This Way and The Fame)

I think The Fame Monster is her best from start to finish. My favourite album of hers is Born This Way though a lot of it is due to the surrounding era beyond the actual album. I love both for different reasons. Artpop and The Fame are about on par. I listen to Artpop more and I think it has higher highs than The Fame but also lower lows.

yay rankings
1. The Fame Monster I feel like this is her most cohesive work, the length helps it and there are no fillers. She found the balance between being pop and experimental here. 2. ARTPOP An attempt to recreate the soul of TFM, but some songs remind me of BTW. There are only a few songs I ignored, like "Fashion!", "Jewels N' Drugs", "Mary Jane Holland" and "Donatella". The singles are spot on. 3. BTW I would put it close to ARTPOP. Its theme is close to my heart, and I still use around 9 songs, which means, that if it was shorter, I would love it even more.
4. The Fame Besides the singles the only useful thing here was "Paper Gangsta". Her weakest effort for me, but still strong as a pop debut LP.

I love her debut! The only song I don't care for because I'm tired of hearing it is "Poker Face", but my favorite tracks from that album are "Eh Eh", "Beautiful Dirty Rich", and "Paparazzi". I love all of the other songs. :)
TFM is great! My favorites are "Teeth" and "So Happy I Can Die". I never liked "Speechless".
BTW is not bad, it's just loud. "Heavy Metal Lover, "Judas", "The Edge Of Glory", "Fashion Of His Love", and "Amen Fashion Black Jesus" are my JAMS! "Schiesse" is OVERRATED, can't stand "Americano", and "Electric Chapel" is irrelevant.
ARTPOP has "Sexxx Dreams", my favorite Gaga song ever, so it's my personal favorite right now! "Aura" and "GUY" slay me. I don't like "Mary Jane Holland" or "Donatella" and while I liked "Jewels N Drugs" when she performed it at Swinefest, it's so out of place with the rest of the album.

I can't handle peope failing to give The Fame (the song) and I Like It Rough proper kudos TF has a lot of surprising songs on it. None of the non singles were really single worthy, but the album sure had a lot of good songs. The Fame, I Like It Rough, Paper Gangsta, Brown Eyes, and Summer Boy all come to mind. Starstruck, Boys Boys Boys, and Beautiful and Dirty Rich were also decent. Its funny how Gaga was credited as one of the major artists that pushed dance to the mainstream, but the album itself isn't a dance album. She's had select electro/EDM driven songs on each project, but I'd say that ARTPOP is her first album that is truly EDM.

That wig ain't kickin' it for me. Too big for her. Big poofy wigs are not a good look on her.
"BTW" would be her best body of work had they left out some tracks from the second half of the album, IMO. Many on here say how Gaga went completely left field during that era. It looked like the continuation of "TFM" era, which was a brilliant idea. The problem w/"BTW" was the fact she was a bit hubris & they managed the singles all wrong. Lyrically & sonically, I feel the album has held up quite nicely. W/all that being said, my rankings are as follows:
1. The Fame Monster (cohesively the best) 2. Born This Way (sonically & lyrically the best) 3. #ARTPOP (sonically it's great, but lyrically it's subpar) 4. The Fame (90% of the album are undeniably catchy bubblegum pop fillers)
I love all her albums, despite the few awful tracks & fillers some contain.

Applause will be remembered as a forgotten pop masterpiece, mark my words I'm totally in the I Like It Rough bandwagon, one of the highlights on the album. Singles are great of course and Eh Eh, Beautiful Dirty Rich and Boys Boys Boys are decent too.

can't stand "Americano", and "Electric Chapel" is irrelevant. Those are my two least favorites from what is otherwise my favorite album of hers. ARTPOP seems to be aging surprisingly well for me, considering I wasn't too keen on it at first. However, it never reached the level of love I had for the first three. In time I could see it overtaking The Fame, but I highly doubt I'll ever prefer it to The Fame Monster or Born This Way.

1. The Fame MonsterRework 'Monster' (it never clicked, but I love this) and it's damn near perfect. 2. The FameBar a couple of duds, it's a solid debut. I give it a lot of credit because it's probably the body of work that embodies what I liked most about her as an artist. 3. ARTPOPGeneric, fun, pop fodder. A little textbook basic, but as a whole it's not exactly cringeworthy. 4. Born This WayWould have made a great 5-6 track EP in 'Scheiße', 'Government Hooker', 'Heavy Metal Lover', 'Bloody Mary', and a better produced 'Electric Chapel' (same issue as 'Monster' above-- original sucks but the Two Door Cinema Club Remix makes it work); take or leave 'Judas' for added meat. Everything else is complete shit.

It totally would have been if not for her lack of momentum going into the era. Had it been the lead single to BTW for example I bet it would have been her biggest chart hit ever.

"The Edge of Glory" is one of the best things she's done thus far- the highlight of Born This Way, for sure.

From her latest album, I got teary eyed with Gypsy... Reminded me of a time I was discussing my future plans with my second-half, Dani, and how I HAD to move out of Peru and pursue my goals... And we could try to make it long distance ... Or Dani could join me... Or we could just enjoy our time while in the same place. These feelings of moving out and establishing abroad were well captured and emoted by Gaga. It was also a climatic moment at the concert for me :'(

It's hard to rank her albums because they're all so different and diverse and my favorite seems to change according to my mood. I guess what is fair for me to do is rank them based on the number of tracks I still play to this day. So...
4. The Fame: 4 - Beautiful Dirty Rich, I Like It Rough, Paparazzi, Just Dance 3. The Fame Monster: 6 - Bad Romance, Alejandro, Dance In The Dark, Monster, Telephone, So Happy I Could Die 2. Born This Way: 7 - Judas, The Edge Of Glory, Scheisse, Heavy Metal Lover, Marry The Night, You & I, Government Hooker 1. ARTPOP: 7 - Applause, Do What U Want, Venus, Mary Jane Holland, Artpop, Aura, Gypsy
So I guess ARTPOP wins because it includes Applause which is my 2nd favorite Gaga song after Bad Romance while Judas is 3rd.

The only song from TF and TFM I don't care for is "Teeth." ARTPOP is a mixed bag, but I enjoy more than I dislike and I agree it's aging very gracefully. BTW was just not for me, and I hate most of that album outside of "Hair," "Y&I," "TEoG" and "FoHL."

Yayyy lists!
1) The Fame Monster - yeah I agree with everyone, it's so cohesive and it really turned her into a huge megastar. When it came out it felt like it should've been a comeback record for a veteran diva who's career has burned out. Just amazing. Hearing BR for the first time, I just knew it would blow up all over the world. 2) Born This Way - This was the height of my Gaga obsession and this era owned me like no other. Heavy Metal Lover was so incredible, I played it to death. Maybe it didn't change the game like TF + TFM didnt but we'll always have Scheisse, Hair, Marry The Night, etc. 3) The Fame - It's the album that started it all! I remember getting it the day it came out. I told myself that Poker Face would never, ever get played on radio because it was too dance. Haha 3) ARTPOP - Even though it ranks last, Venus, Fashion!, and Sexxx Dreams are some of her best work. I just couldn't bring myself to rank it over The Fame.

Not sure if serious. ???
All this time I had more or less agreed with your posts up until this one point. :'(
For it's time, Monster was perfection, and probably the only thing on par with 'Bad Romance' on TFM. That remix is silly and kills the melody, idc if it hits harder.

For it's time, Monster was perfection, and probably the only thing on par with 'Bad Romance' on TFM. That remix is silly and kills the melody, idc if it hits harder. Dead serious. 'Monster' was a great concept that was totally ruined by the written melody and production. She's talking about somebody metaphorically eating her heart and how she kind of enjoys that pain, so I'm immediately coming into it expecting the song to sound strikingly dark, or even some kind of over the top ecstatic s**t (kind of both are present in that remix-- not saying it was perfect but that build up is kind of frantic and excited, and the chorus drops into this kind of dark and hallow banger)-- but what I got was this kind of chilled out R&B pop hybrid? I'm fine with contrasting the lyrical content to the music, but that felt like such an arbitrary pairing and I still cannot get into it at all. Every other track, even 'Teeth' (which I love), feels intentional and fully realized and then there's 'Monster'. I get the impression she's not that into it either since she pushed for 'Alejandro' over that as a single. To compare 'Monster' to 'Bad Romance' is utterly bizarre to me. The only other issue I had with The Fame Monster was the final cut of 'Alejandro'. I still prefer the demo. The old-quality recording intro, that fallout during the prechorus and the slow build, the unmastered guitar (it was louder, grittier); the whole thing just felt so much more epic/dramatic. Not that the final cut is bad, but I wish I knew how to master better so I could re-master that.
