She's an independent artist now.

That tweet is laced with thinly vieled shade lmao. Wonder what kind of stuff she'll do as a solo artist? I would guess more acoustic stuff.

Very interested to hear what she'll do. I hope she switches it up a bit from the Evanescence stuff. I really can't imagine her doing anything too left of field from that, but we'll see. Good luck to her.

Hope this means new material soon. Love her voice.
Edit: Oh and apparently she's pregnant. Maybe no music soon, then.

So Evanescence broke up?

Oh, so she basically confirmed that there's no more Evanescence. I'm not sure how I feel about this, even though Amy was the only original member of the band.

Evanescense was Amy + people she hired anyway after Ben Moody left in like 2004 or something.

Evanescense was Amy + people she hired anyway after Ben Moody left in like 2004 or something. Yeah, it was essentially the same deal as Florence + The Machine. The name was probably kept for marketing purposes. I remember her saying she really wanted to play with electronic, alt pop sounds some time ago-- she cited La Roux as an influence back when she had her 15 minutes-- but we never did hear any of that if it ever came to fruition. I'd really love to hear her do something in the vein of Robyn or post-'Controversy' Natalia Kills.

I'd love for her to do some electro/dance tunes in the vein of Titanium or even Sia's latest single. Basically, any Sia-penned track would fit her amazing voice.

I find it hard imagining Amy would ever go that far mainstream pop.

Yeah, we're not gonna get a David Guetta "smash" out of Amy Lee anytime soon. The only somewhat mainstream EDM producer I could see her f**king with is Skrillex.

I think she'd make something killer with Ryan Tedder since I think it would really highlight her vocals but yeah, I don't think EDM suits her. Lithium is probably my favorite from Evanescence.

I think EDM suits her well. Skrillex who was an ex-heavy metal band member could do wonders with her.

I really don't think she'll go the route of EDM, but Skrillex and Wolfgang Gartner would be good fits. I could see her doing some weird, psychedelic 80s s**t though. Kind of like Expensive Looks with more grit.
It's likely we'll get more of the same from her-- either acoustic work or your standard rock sound-- but I really hope I'm wrong there. I'd like to see her expand her sound a little bit.

I'll be patiently waiting for whatever comes from her as long as it actually comes out. I hope we won't have to wait years upon years to listen to her voice on record again cause she's not exactly a big name which will make it hard for her to find a label. Unless she's self-funded of course which is most likely the case here based on her tweets.

I have a feeling it'll be years before we'll get her solo album. So children's album is better than nothing.

Evanescence will head back on tour this autumn with 16 dates spread across October and November. The band's trek kicks off October 28th in Dallas, Texas and wraps November 23rd in Huntington, New York. The new dates will allow Evanescence to continue to develop the chemistry they began to capture after recruiting Equilibrium guitarist Jen Majura to the lineup in 2015. "Just when you thought I was off the hard stuff! It's going to feel amazing to step back onstage with the band this fall," frontwoman Amy Lee tells Rolling Stone. "We had such a tight gel solidifying onstage the last few shows, and were enjoying it so much, we were all lamenting that it was so short and have been on the lookout for more opportunities to play live. " Tour dates: October 28 - Dallas, TX @ South Side Ballroom October 30 - Oklahoma City, OK @ Diamond Ballroom November 1 - Austin, TX @ ACL Live at the Moody Theater November 3 - San Antonio, TX @ Majestic Theatre November 5 - Houston, TX @ Revention Music Center November 6 - New Orleans, LA @ Saenger Theatre November 9 - Mobile, AL @ Saenger Theatre November 10 - Saint Augustine, FL @ St Augustine Amphitheater November 12 - Orlando, FL @ Central Florida Fairgrounds November 13 - Miami Beach, FL @ The Fillmore at Jackie Gleason November 15 - Charlotte, NC @ The Fillmore Charlotte November 16 - Greenville, SC @ Peace Concert Hall November 18 - Silver Spring, MD @ The Fillmore November 19 - Atlantic City, NJ @ Harrah's Atlantic City November 22 - Montclair, NJ @ The Wellmont Theatre November 23 - Huntington, NY @ The Paramount

I'd be down for buying the collection on CD, so I hope it isn't a vinyl exclusive.

There was talk of the Steve Lillywhite sessions from the 'Evanescence' era being released, it'd be cool if some of that stuff is part of this collection.
