Really? Is this gonna be part of the Hot 100 formula too?

I wonder if they'll ever be able to have a comprehensive #1 listing, seeing as this just launched and I see 10+ songs have peaked at #1. Are some of these peaks from before the actual launch of the chart (test charts and such)? I haven't been paying that much attention, but my guess would be that no, they're all from today. I watched it for a little bit and the chart changes pretty drastically every minute or so. In fact I just checked again and there's a new #1 (Ne-Yo - Money Can't Buy). Last time I checked an hour or so ago Rico Love was #1. The only song that's been up in the top 10 consistently is the Austin Mahone song they were pushing as part of the chart's launch.

Since this is real time, it will move faster than even the itunes charts. It will take a dedicated Pulse member to track all songs that peak at #1 and maintain a list. Any volunteers? ;)

Does the chart include only commercially available songs? What if people start tweeting about songs that will be released soon... like the rumored Madonna/Katy Perry track?

So far, I'm finding it really amusing how things like title tracks and band names help certain songs - there's no way "The Lonely Hour" by Sam Smith or "The 1975" by The 1975 would have been charting without the benefit of sharing a song name with the name of the artist or album.

So out of the current chart that's on my screen, the following songs have peaked at #1.
Eminem - Survival Miranda Lambert - Somethin' Bad Jason Derulo - Trumpets Jennifer Lopez - I Luh Ya Papi (Two different entries for some reason) Courtney Barnett - Avant Gardener J. Cole - Let Nas Down 50 Cent - Winner's Circle Jason Derulo - Stupid Love Skrillex - The Coast Is Clear Future - Move That Dope Usher - Good Kisser Kanye West - New Slaves Lykke Li - I Never Learn 2 Chainz - Freebase Rascal Flats - Rewind Twista - It's Yours Sam Smith - The Lonely Hour Arcitc Monkeys - Snap Out Of It Mariah Carey - Thirsty Eminem - The Monster Austin Mahone - Til' I Find You Michael Jackson - Love Never Felt So Good Austin Mahone - Shadow Fifth Harmony - Miss Movin On Ne-Yo - Money Can't Buy Arcade Fire - We Exist Beyonce - Drunk In Love Coldplay - Magic Rico Love - Bitches Be Like Cher Lloyd - Sirens Sharon Van Etten - Are We There
So just a wild guess, this is going to be impossible to track.

Well, Billboard will also post a Twitter weekly chart, so it's just better to look at that than the real time chart.

Can't imagine this would impact the Hot 100; it's sorta a song version of the Social 50- just more chaotic.

He'll laugh at Dolly Parton but if Shakira was #20 for 10 seconds he'd be blasting it in every thread on Pulse... Just sayin'...

FYI everyone, the time you want to check the "24 Hours" chart for a new day's #1 appears to be 10am EST.. I'll be at non-office work at that time almost always so I won't be able to post the daily #1s with great frequency :S

For those who get dizzy trying to follow the real time chart and are too lazy to follow the 24 hour chart Billboard will soon have a Top Twitter Tracks chart that will be in the magazine that is based in weekly numbers
