Interesting cover!
Not sure if I like it, but it's colorful.

Projected to debut with 30-35k while The World From the Side of the Moon debuted at #4 with 169k (1.03m to date). As I suspected, all his hype and momentum from the first album and it's two mega singles is gone and no one cares anymore. Sad.

Rough. I really like this guy. The album sounds better than the first actually so I might just get it.

I really hope this album trends upwards in its debut sales, and I also hope it manages to have some great legs. It's a great, great effort. I'd put it neck and neck with his debut. "Trigger" is incredible.

I really liked his debut album, but I think I like this even more. I love the darker, harder sound some tracks have. I expected lower numbers because the hype has died, certainly. I just hope the album has legs; they have some feasible singles here, so I hope they take advantage of that.
I saw that the Target cover says "Featuring 'Raging Fire,' 'Searchlight' and 'Unpack Your Heart'" but the HMV ads I have seen say "Featuring the singles 'Raging Fire' and 'Fly.'" I hope they push "Raging Fire" more before they release another single, though. The song has such potential.

Still hearing "Raging Fire" a lot on the radio, but then again it still feels like his album hasn't even come out yet.

I heard rumblings that Fly or Unpack Your Heart may be a single.

I heard rumblings that Fly or Unpack Your Heart may be a single. Eh. Both are OK, though I think I'd prefer "Searchlight" or "Trigger."

Searchlight is one of the more downloaded tracks on iTunes and Trigger seems to be a fan favorite. I assume they'd go with either one of those over the two I mentioned but, again, it was just a rumbling I heard. It seems they're still trying to get a bit more mileage out of RF before they move on.

Interscope SUCKS!! I don't what the heck they're waiting on to reveal the second single. But they need to push it now before the sales start to drop. No point in pushing RF anymore because radio is clearly done with it.

Just found out that "Raging Fire" was released this week in the UK. Sadly, it's nowhere to find inside the Top 1500 on the UK iTunes, so it's not going to make any impact there Kind of expected though, if it's considered that there hasn't any buzz from the song in that country. On the other hand, Behind the Light is going to be released there on July 28. However, his debut album The World from the Side of the Moon hasn't been released there and it's still available as a pre-order for about a year! #mess

I only know Phillip through his singles but this is by far the least impressive single to date. I don't mind the music...I just think the lyrics are pretty basic. He's trying to make a thought provoking song but isn't the lyricist that this type of song requires. Without a hit song this album cycle he might be in trouble. He was put on some big tours with his first album to build up a fan base in addition to his Idol fans. Isn't he headlining a summer tour? Pretty big places if I recall when I saw the tour schedule. How's that going? Maybe he can make a nice living touring even without a lot of radio play outside HotAC/AAA. He's certainly not over but he has slowed down considerably with this album.

Behind the Light is out in the UK in both standard and deluxe editions. However, "Home" and "Gone, Gone, Gone" have been added in both editions on the UK iTunes, which may bring the possibility that The World From the Side of the Moon could be pulled indefinitely there.

Amazon is saying September 8 for a UK release. It's a little weird that his sophomore album is out before his debut, but whatever lol.

Amazon is saying September 8 for a UK release. It's a little weird that his sophomore album is out before his debut, but whatever lol. Oh! I should have clarified that it's still on the UK iTunes with the September 8 release The reason I was thinking that it could be pulled is the inclusion of both tracks. When I checked Behind the Light two days ago, both of them weren't there, so I found it really weird. Also, as far as I remember, The World From the Side of the Moon was going to be out in the UK on June 7 last year, after "Home" was released on May 31 there. However, it was pushed back for unknown reasons. I assume the reason of it was that "Home" peaked at #60 there and, maybe, his label was planning to release "Gone, Gone, Gone", but it never happened.

Good for him! Glad to see the sales are picking up! Interscope needs to give this guy a good career, he deserves it!!! On the other hand, I'm finally realizing just how good "Raging Fire" is!
