So happy this might/will probably do well here. Fell in love with it the first time I saw the video. I just heard it in NYC too. This is going to blow up. She's a great dancer. She's really interesting! I suggest reading an interview or two.

It's a good song, but I'm not fond of her vocals.

I must be one of the very few that don't like this song at all You're not alone. While I don't find it intolerable or anything, it's not something I'd stop and listen to willingly.

I'm not really feeling this like all of you are. It's nothing special.

She's actually Canadian lol. thought you said Australian. Too much work, not enough sleep!!!! But 'Hideaway' was a UK #1 and it went Top 10 in various other European countries.

No, in fact it wasn't number one in Canada. Not on pop and not on the billboard chart (but it's top 10 there). Canadians were late on this, but that's not that surprising because some of the biggest canadian successes were not so big there, we have Rude as recent example (wich is way bigger in the USA) and Carly Rae Jepsen was number one on billboard but not on pop in Canada (it was practically bigger everywhere than in her home country)

Okay, well to break up the "Hideaway" hate I have to say this is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I hope it smashes.

She's from Canada, but it was recorded in New York, and her Twitter says "NYC" as her location right now. And it's 100% Euro in style - no surprise it did well there.

Deep house music originated in Chicago and New York though. Fair enough - but due to the rise of acts like Disclosure in Europe, when I heard this - and saw her style and such - I 100% assumed she was European. And either way, if deep house is a US invention, then it still isn't Canadian ;)

You were answering a post that said it was number one in UK and top 10 in other european countries. And yes, this is top 10 in Canada, but it's really recent top 10 (i think it reached top 10 on billboard Canada last week, maybe two weeks ago). And on pop it was on the verge of top 10. She is canadian, so i don't think there's any surprise of being a hit there, what's surprising is her home country was so late in jumping to this song. Anyway, i agree that the sound is very european, in fact i would be surprised if this become big in the USA
