Thanks for posting this. In the meantime, it's Day 15 of hearing the 4/12 countdown on the iHeartRadio AT40 channel. :(

So "G.U.Y" and 5SOS debut, which is good (and "Fancy" seems to be coming up...) and Zedd replaces himself on the chart, literally at the same place STN was at last week.

Corrected the date. :)
Actually pleasantly surprised to see "The Big Bang" not debut (yet). Very surprised both at moldy "Can't Hold Us" as a non-Optional Extra, and that "Sing" is yet again nowhere to be found. Even with this show's chart again seeming to be mid-week (owing to "Happy" spending a 4th week on top here), I'd have thought it might still turn up in Breakout Land or at least just get played anyway like "G.U.Y." was. Oh well...I guess we should probably expect the highest debut of the year (so far) from it next week.
Adding to the surprise of "Can't Hold Us", that makes the third non-Optional M+RL Extra in about a month. Somebody must really like them right about now.
Guessing that "Am I Wrong" is most likely the Buzz Song; it's the only one of the three among the options on the site that isn't also debuting this week (which "G.U.Y." is, and "Empire" by Shakira is not).

Oh well...I guess we should probably expect the highest debut of the year (so far) from it next week. I wonder if "Talk Dirty" will get "Team"-ed? Both songs spent a few days atop Mediabase but not a full week; "Team" could have been #1 if they'd used a chart from a different part of the week but instead one was used with "Happy" on top. Similarly, "Talk Dirty" could either be #1 next week (and probably only next week), or it could be jumped by "All of Me". A lot of extras this week, 11 in total. There seems to be a stackup of them around the middle of the countdown, but there are some unusual choices. The 2 for 1 comes after #19, instead of in the top 10 as usual, and while featuring Ke$ha, as has been done several times before, they chose one of her lesser hits, "C'mon". Meanwhile "Love In this Club" is also somewhat unexpected; as I posted in another thread, Usher has several big hits that get a lot of recurrent play but this hasn't been among them in my experience. Agree about "Can't Hold Us", which probably should have waited for another show; M&RL were heard non-optionally just last week with "White Walls", which at least isn't as overplayed.

I really don't want to see it happen that "Happy" ends up keeping BOTH the song that came before it and the one that came after it on Mediabase out of #1 here. "Talk Dirty" might have a better shot since it spent a few more days at #1 than "Team" did, but in playing the mid-week chart game, it more-or-less comes down to random chance.

On the other hand, if you really love listening to the 4/12 show, then we've got some great news for you. I wonder if "Talk Dirty" will get "Team"-ed? It'll be interesting to see if Jason makes it, next week. As Libra points out, depending on what day of the week they snap next week's chart from, it'll, pretty much, be a crap shoot.

It's bad enough that "Team" got blocked from #1. Both "Team" and "Talk Dirty" hit #1 when it was official. I hope "Talk Dirty" gets #1 next week, although it is a toss up. Why doesn't AT40 use a Sunday Chart for their chart?

So Lady Gaga returns with the third single from "Artpop" while Zedd, the guy who helped with the album, comes in with "Find You", which might join the list of AT40's One-Week Wonders next week. Say Something, Drunk In Love and possibly Take Me Home will exit next week. Is Beyonce ever gonna make the Top 10 again because she hasn't been there in four years. John Legend is probably gonna be at #1 next week and probably ruin Derulo's chances of a third #1. I still find of weird that AT40 skips the second verse of "All Of Me".

It's Friday morning and we're, now, entering the 17th straight day of playing the 4/12 countdown on the iHeart station. Someone affiliated with the station is bound to notice the problem at some point. Right? ???

I'm beginning to think Premiere is very proud of that show, thinks it's the best they've ever done, and refuses to let it go.

Why doesn't AT40 use a Sunday Chart for their chart? I don't care if it's the Sunday, Wednesday, or whatever chart, but they should at least be consistent in which day's chart or weekly compilation they use, without looking like they're randomly picking and choosing. Makes me wish for the Casey Kasem and Shadoe Stevens days of AT40 and CT40, when they waited for the one weekly publication of Billboard or Radio and Records and that was that.

Random fun fact. It just occurred to me that there is a "G.U.Y." and a "G.R.L." on this week's chart.

Did they ever update their I Heart Radio broadcast? Just curious. I don't have the app or have it bookmarked on my computer, since I listen to the show either on KIIS Saturday or Sunday. But since I'm going out of town in a couple of weeks, I may check it out on my laptop.

I finally decided to check in on this after catching the 80s in full today. Just heard Calvin Harris as #38...looks like they've fixed it finally. EDIT: Albeit, they're still inserting random extras throughout the show, some of which take the place of the actual Optionals. Blah. The timing of the "Can't Hold Us" extra is also very interesting, given that it's now finally close to falling out of the actual Mediabase recurrentless Top 40. So much for that, I guess...

I enjoyed all the "extra" music this week. Passenger told Ryan about what an inspiration Ed Sheeran had been. Neon Trees still sounds "Fwench" to me. The 07-06 segment got beefed up with an extra song. I don't get the popularity of Turn Down For What. Turn Down For What? Too noisy! Fairly fresh chart, and a good show this week.

When introducing the #1 song, Ryan mentioned other popular titles like "Hold On," "Heaven" and "Angel." He named some other acts who had recorded songs called "Happy" like Sister Hazel, Leona Lewis and Ashanti and pointed out that Pharrell's song was the only "Happy" to hit #1.

AT40.com and iHeart Radio have finally updated themselves and are airing this show.
