So finally I caved. After seeing all of these awesome charts everybody made, I made my own thread. I just wanted a nice convenient spot to look back at all of my weekly charts with writeups and other info. I look forward to checking out everyone's charts and hopefully keeping my own up for as long as possible! Chart HistoryAround April 2013, I discovered the Billboard Hot 100 through watching chart videos on Youtube. I had known about "#1 Songs" and that there were music charts but had never followed them seriously. After watching the videos weekly I slowly became addicted to following the charts. I made a bunch of my own rankings relating to the charts over the months that followed and became more informed with the formulas and stats that made up the charts, but it took until early January 2014 for me to make my own chart. It started as a daily top 25 chart, to make the runs more accelerated and to see how a personal chart really worked. That lasted for exactly a month before I moved over to a weekly chart starting February 5th, 2014. The daily charts don't count towards the records on the current chart, but they are nice to look back at to see where this started. Below this textwall are my daily #1's from that month. It might give you an idea of which songs probably would have gotten weekly #1's if the chart had started earlier. Maybe I'll post the full charts in a Google Doc or something later. Julian Casablancas - Instant Crush 2/5/14: Daft Punk ft. Julian Casablancas - Instant Crush Quick Rules (these are the base rules, I have some more written out but these three are really the main chart rules)1. ANY SONG can enter the Main/Bubbling Under charts, provided it hasn't been scrobbled on my last.fm three times more than 12 months ago.
To elaborate: if a song's third scrobble was on 9/3/13, it becomes ineligible to chart on 9/3/14. If it is currently Bubbling Under it stays eligible until it exits that chart or finishes a main chart run. This is to keep the chart fresh instead of looking back through songs I already know. This means the song could be from any year and doesn't have to be recent, it just has to be new to me. This requires some personal discretion; I won't chart songs that I obviously knew about but hadn't happened to scrobble until recently. Songs also aren't required to be released as a single, album tracks and any other cuts can enter. 2. Songs that have spent 20 or more weeks on the main chart are ineligible to re-enter after leaving the main chart.
Until they have reached that limit, re-entries are unlimited if the song is still eligible. Bubbling Under re-entries are also unlimited until the song is ineligible to chart anywhere or if the song has made the main chart. 3. My chart formula is entirely based on personal preference.
There are no calculations based on spins or playlists, because I feel I'd just try to manipulate that and force songs' peaks instead of just listening to what I wanted to each week. I don't trust myself enough to listen to my music objectively; it's easier to just manipulate my chart instead of pretending I'm not manipulating it. Links Down here I'm putting a bunch of different links. First for my year-end charts (since it's much easier for me to stick everything in the same thread instead of making one each year) and finally links to some extra chart stats and records. The latter links are provided both for your perusal and so I don't forget that I posted in these threads. Date in parentheses is the chart date that the links are accurate up to. Don't expect these to be updated often but I'll get around to them once every few months (hopefully). After the Disco reclaims #1 after a close fight with Beck's Say Goodbye. That breaks the tie for most weeks at #1, Broken Bells now have four non-consecutive stays at the top. How much longer before another chart-topper emerges? Back Against the Wall moves up another spot to hit the Top 3, switching places with Kendrick. Another song to watch out for is I Wanna Get Better, debut single from Bleachers which has quietly made its way up the charts and into the Top 7. With several of the songs above it sort of stagnant and waiting to drop off, it has a real shot at hitting #1 in the future. Finally, the only new entry to the Top 10 is Fever from the Black Keys, giving them their first Top 10 single. This drops Temple out of the elite group. I wouldn't worry too much for Kings of Leon though, Wait For Me sits primed topping the Bubbling Under chart at #101 and may challenge for the Hot Shot Debut on the next chart.
Hot Shot Debut this week goes out to Reverse from SomeKindaWonderful. After spending two weeks Bubbling Under, it makes an impressive jump close to the top half of the chart. It didn't make as big a splash as the past few Hot Shots, but maybe that will help it build momentum better. (Unlike Hol' Up which stalled out before hitting #1). Other debuts go out to Wizard, Martin Garrix's second entry on the chart. Probably doesn't mean good things for current Top 10 Animals but we'll see if he can manage two singles. Other Alternative bands make entries with Feels Like We Only Go Backwards at #72, Black Out Days at #79, Lazaretto at #85, and Take It Or Leave It finally graduating from Bubbling Under after five weeks to slot in at #95.
Finally, the first few Top 10 alumni drop out of the chart, as Instant Crush and Spark bow out with 12 weeks. Both would have had longer runs and maybe even higher peaks (Instant Crush hit #1 on my daily chart a few days before I switched over to weekly) if I had started the chart earlier. Also dropping out is the Death Grips' I've Seen Footage, with probably the weirdest run my chart's seen so far. (Here it is: 93-97-90-91-92-97-91-95-92-99-off). Ten weeks on the chart but only a peak of 90. Especially weird since the first few weeks of the chart was filled with older recurrentish songs that needed to fall off. There's my rough full writeup for this week, I'll probably be polishing this for the next few days/weeks/months but until then I guess I'm done.

I Wanna Get Better ends the four week reign of After the Disco, jumping from #7 to the top spot. This sets a record for the biggest jump to #1. Expect the chart to get a little more tumultuous at the top spot with several songs with a shot at #1. Next Top 10 song to make waves is Best Friend, jumping up three spots into the Top 5. Finally Fever moves up two spots to #8, and Modern Jesus is the sole entry to the Top 10, moving from #11 - #9. The Man exits with a sizeable drop all the way to #15. Also of note is Mr. Tembo from Damon Albarn, with the second-highest single week jump in chart history. Moving from #61 - #30, it looks to be moving to challenge for a Top 10 berth. #'s 11-13 all have positive bullets this week, so the Top 10 might be getting more than one entry next week. Top debut this week is Dangerous from Joywave, which probably deserved a debut last week but had to settle for #2 in the Bubbling Under. Following close behind is Weezer's Hash Pipe, a recurrent on most charts that is just getting started here. It enters at #51. Wait For Me from Kings of Leon enters as expected, maybe not as high though at #73. Raging Fire is the next entry, the first from Phillip Philips and a last minute addition, meaning its bullet looks strong for next week. The 80's hold the final four debuts. Liar Liar enters at #82, making it Avicii's fourth single on the chart from True. (Two others have peaked in the Bubbling Under chart). Also here are HeadBand by B.o.B. at #80, A.D.H.D. by Kendrick Lamar at #84, and lastly Wires from the Neighbourhood at #87. No surprising dropouts this week, Guilty All The Same moves from Biggest Dropper last week to Dropout status, an all too common achievement. Four more songs from the chart's first week leave, bringing the number of survivors down to 24. Among them is Stolen Dance from Milky Chance, a song that would have gotten a shot at #1 back in December/January. (It did peak at #1 on my Daily Chart). Tonight You're Perfect from New Politics also exits with a "full" run at 12 weeks. On to the chart. Am I Wrong looks to be setting up for a solid Top 10 run next week, probably is going to end up in the Top 5 by the end, not exactly sure I'll see how high it's going to get just yet. I'm quite late on HeadBand, but I don't really have any type of time restrictions on what can chart, so it just really has to do with when I "discover" the song. I knew about HeadBand on its run through the Hot 100 and other charts, but never really listened to or got into it until recently.
Thanks for reading. :)

After four weeks of domination from After The Disco, it's time for the chart to become active at the top. Modern Jesus from Portugal. The Man moves from #9 to the top spot, breaking the record just freshly taken by I Wanna Get Better. Foster the People's Best Friend moves up to #4, now the top song on the chart not to peak at the top position. Am I Wrong is the sole entry to the top 10 this week, jumping from #11 -> #7. Animals is the song to get dumped, but with Wizard flying upwards it shouldn't be too long before Martin Garrix finds himself back int the top 10. Amongst the movers this week is Dangerous from Big Data. It ties for the biggest mover this week with The Neighbourhood's Wires after getting the Hot Shot Debut last week. Mr. Tembo is on his way up the hill, moving from #30 - #11. A top 10 spot next week is assured.
3005 by Childish Gambino is the Hot Shot Debut at #58, setting up for a nice run in the future. Classic from MKTO is next at #67., It spent two weeks on the Bubbling Under chart back in early March then spent a few months off before skipping under the BU chart for a full debut. Turn Blue from the Black Keys makes it in at #73, the follow-up to current #8 Fever. Last notable debut is Pretty Green from White Denim at #96. Previously spending 6 weeks on the Bubbling Under chart, it's the second longest run on the Bubbling Under chart to debut on the main chart. That record is held by Losing Sleep (currently #100 and not looking too good)
The dropouts this week include three former top 10 songs. One For the Road, Levels, and Chum all drop out after spending 14 weeks on. With two other full-tenured dropouts, this leaves only 19 songs that have spent all 15 weeks on the chart. That number is dropping rapidly, so it shouldn't be too long before the chart is completely refreshed. Also notable is ATLiens, falling out at #68, the highest drop off the chart so far. Sort of a short writeup this week but here's the full chart. Thanks for reading. Oh yeah, I also did a ten second change to the layout. I'll probably be messing with that weekly, so sorry if you like continuity. The Chart - May 14, 2014 LW | | PK | WC | Song | Artist | 9 | | 1 | 8 | Modern Jesus | Portugal. Another week, another chart. Mr. TemboΒ storms to #1 from #12, the first jump to the chart's top spot from outside the top ten. Damon Albarn is probably in for a few weeks at #1 as the chart slows down from all of the recent #1 peakers.Β Modern JesusΒ is bumped to #2 and just barely holds off Best Friend, which probably won't end up hitting #1 but might get a few weeks in at #3. Am I Wrong is still climbing upwards, Nico & Vinz now very close to a Top 5 peak. The lone new entry to the Top 10 this week is X-KidΒ from Green Day. A late entry to the chart, but I heard it after writing off the entire Uno Dos Tre trilogy and something clicked this time. So it's in the Top 10, one of the fresher songs so its bullet is stronger than most up near the top reaches of the chart. Holding On For LifeΒ is the unlucky song to exit, bringing the Top 10 back up to 10 unique artists. Right below the Top 10 is the biggest gainer of the week (well, tie) Dangerous. It jumps from 29 -> 12 and will make a Top 10 placing next week (maybe even Top 5, who knows)
Hot Shot Debut at #59 this week is White Lies from Max Frost, currently floundering aroundΒ somewhereΒ in the 40s on Alternative radio. The lower reaches of the Top 50 alternative seem to be where I'm finding a bunch of nice chart hits (Dangerous and Reverse are good examples of this) Hip Hop KidsΒ jumps in at #66 with a strong upside for next week. It's Portugal. The Man's second entry on my chart and already putting in a strong showing. Will it peak as high as Modern Jesus? Unlikely, but we'll see what happens. Turn Down For What comes in at #80 after a few weeks Bubbling Under. It could really go either way on my chart, I don't expect a Top 10 (or even Top 25) peak, but it might have some longevity behind it. Gotta Get AwayΒ debuts at #84, the third song from Turn BlueΒ to chart. As Fever starts to peak, both this song and Turn Blue will have to battle to see which will be superior. Maybe they'llΒ cannibalizeΒ each other. A few scattered songs debut near the bottom of the chart, notable being I Want To Know from Kongos at #92, ready to pick up as Come With Me NowΒ nears the end of its chart life. Finally I Sat By The Ocean debuts at #95. It spent 8 weeks Bubbling Under and nearly dropped off twice, but it finally made it up to the main chart. That probably doesn't mean it has a nice high peak ahead of it but it could last a few weeks.
In the dropouts this week, Pharrell gets slammed. Three songs from his recent G I R L album all drop off (Happy from #74, Gust of Wind from #93 and Brand New from #95). Happy becomes the first ever #1 peaking song to drop off of the chart, despite being the fourth #1 song in the chart's history. Pharrell moves from an impressive three songs last week to zero on this week's chart. alt-J'sΒ Fitzpleasure finished up a quick roller coaster run, peaking at #3 and dropping out in 12 weeks. It earned several Biggest Gainer honors on the way up and a couple Biggest Dropper honors on the way down. The rest of the dropouts mostly involve cleaning house at the bottom of the chart from songs that didn't really belong there anyway. On to the full chart.

Mr. Tembo spends his second week at #1, finally bringing back a sense of regularity to the chart after the last three #1's only spent a week at the top. In fact the Top 3 remains the same from last week; the first time that's ever happened on my chart. It will certainly change next week, as Dangerous moves from #12 - #4 in its fourth week and will challenge for the top spot soon. Dangerous is currently destroying the "Most Played Last Month" category on last.fm so that might be an indicator of where the peak might be. Am I Wrong continues its slow Top 10 march, as it moves to #5. X-Kid jumps up two spots, not sure how much higher it will climb but it's benefiting from a bunch of droppers. Magic is the last song to hit Top 10 this week, moving into the top frame in its 9th week. I Wanna Get Better and Say Goodbye, two former #1 hits are both dropped from the Top 10. Big movers this week include Hip Hop Kids from Portugal. The Man. It ties for the second highest single-week move ever, jumping 31 spots to #35. Wires moves into the Top 40 from #51, and White Lies (hot shot debut last week) hits #38 in its second outing. Heavy Bells earns the Hot Shot Debut this week at #57. A song I initially hated with a fiery passion has grown on me and maybe the other two J. Roddy songs on my chart helped in the conversion. It's now the top J. Roddy song on the chart, with Take It As It Comes one slot below in its tenth week. Purple Yellow Red and Blue debuts at #62, ushering in a Portugal. The Man era for my chart. After listening to the full album don't be surprised if several songs debut in the coming weeks. Top Notch from Manchester Orchestra jumps in at #71 after spending three weeks Bubbling Under. I'm not sure if its destiny is up or down on the chart but for now its in a decent position. Keepin' Our Eyes Out, most likely the last song from More Than Just A Dream that will chart comes in at #84. Fitz and the Tantrums have the record with 9 all-time chart entries, five of which are currently charting. Dignity becomes New Politics' third single, after the #83 peaking Harlem (would have been higher if the chart was earlier) and #44 peaking Tonight You're Perfect. It enters at #88. Giants from Bear Hands is next at #90. It spent the last two weeks at #1 on the Bubbling Under chart and I'm still not really sure if I like it or not. It deserved a shot at chart success so maybe it will surprise me. Lastly is the second single from Bleachers, as Shadow comes in at #95. Maybe it will peak as high as the last single (it won't). In dropouts this week, a couple of songs drop from higher than usual. Center Stage falls off at #69, the second highest drop off in the chart's history. Power Trip, former Top 10 peaker falls off at #74. The rest of the dropouts are long-lasting songs that had gathered dust on the chart and needed a cleaning. Cheating and I Sold My Bed both drop off from the 90s, leaving only She Knows on the chart from the first class of debuts in the chart's second week. Blue Moon and Money Trees fall off after entering in the first week. Only 15 songs remain that charted on the first week, how long until we see an entirely fresh chart? Decided to include a nifty Top 10 single art bar this time around. That's enough innovation for one week though, can't get too crazy. On to the chart. Oh wow I just noticed you were charting "Dreaming". I love that song. It ended up peaking at #1 on 2/26/14, before I started posting my chart here. Probably would have been on my chart longer if I had started it earlier as well. It's a fantastic song, glad to see somebody else really enjoyed it. It didn't have the success it deserved on Alternative radio either, stalled out somewhere in the 20s. Thanks for checking out the chart. :)

Dangerous becomes the chart's tenth #1, jumping over Mr. Tembo after two weeks and is probably ready for an extended run at #1. Best Friend remains at #3 in its twelfth week and has probably peaked. Modern Jesus drops down two slots (though I wouldn't be worried about Portugal. The Man's future chart success, stay tuned for that) and Am I Wrong stays at #5, but has probably not peaked due to 3 of the 4 songs above it starting to drop. X-Kid and After the Disco trade #6 and #7, and Magic is still slowly climbing through the chart; this week from #10 - #8. Fever begins its descent down the chart after three weeks stuck at #8. The sole entry to the Top 10 is Reverse from SomeKindaWonderful. It's currently sporting a neutral bullet on the Alternative charts around #20, but probably has Top 5 aspirations here. Since this section is short, I'll talk about other chart news. I finalized a formula (that could change so I guess it's not finalized) for Top Quarterly/Yearly lists. I finished my Q1 2014 Top 50, I might post it but it's really not that exciting since it's 8 weeks. I'll probably end up posting the Q2 Top 50 for 2014 when it ends though, since it will be more interesting and isn't a bunch of weeks old. To round things out, other songs that could soon challenge for long Top 10 runs are Wizard at #12, Feels Like We Only Go Backwards at #17, Hip Hop Kids at #21, White Lies at #23 and Wires at #28. Every other song has no chance at Top 10 for the rest of its chart history (jk)
Hot Shot Debut this week goes out to another Portugal. The Man song. Creep In A T-Shirt jumps in at #47 (which is exactly where Modern Jesus debuted, so maybe a sign of #1 peaks to come). Hopefully it won't get too backed up by Hip Hop Kids, which is still rising strongly at #21 and probably has a nice Top 10 run ahead of it. Tongues is second in at #62, Joywave has just entered in the Alternative radio charts. It's bullet could go either way, but it has a strong entry so far. Alex Clare (who would have dominated with his last album if my chart was around then) enters at #68 with his sophmore lead single, War Rages On. Another chart staple enters with their latest, Battle Cry from Imagine Dragons jumps in at #78. All of these soundtrack singles are nice but I'm ready for a second album. Atomic Man enters at #80, making it five Portugal. The Man singles on my chart at the same time. This ties the record (I think) that Fitz and the Tantrums set early on. Hopefully they don't cannibalize each other too much. Childish Gambino has his second entry with Sweatpants at #83. Out Of The Black by Royal Blood enters at #86 after six weeks Bubbling Under. It probably has much more potential than most 6 week Bubblers, since it floundered around for a few weeks before catching on just recently. Another ex-Bubbler, Good Life from Kanye West charts at #92 after re-entering the Bubbling Under from a 9 week absence. Probably doesn't have a huge peak ahead of it but might put in a decent run. Only For You from the Heartless Bastards is the final entry, a last second addition that has unknown potential.
Breezeblocks drops off from #69, the second highest drop off of the chart. alt-J's three singles have all been the Biggest Dropper at some point, and two of the three were Biggest Gainers (Tessellate's rise was before the chart started). I don't think they'll have a fourth single from An Awesome Wave chart, so they'll be on the shelf until a potential new album. Fitz and the Tantrums suffer another chart casualty, Don't Gotta Work It Out is off from #86. Trumpets falls from #89, its #69 peak couldn't match Talk Dirty. How long until Wiggle peaks? (Spoiler: it's never going to chart) Riptide drops off from #94 just as it starts to take of on Alternative radio. It hasn't aged well at all on me, and I don't envision a re-entry. (probably also has something to do with the fact I've had zero re-entries on my chart so far) Dreaming drops off, the second #1 to fall off the chart. I already talked about the Year-End formula thing above so that's it for this one. Enjoy reading.

I worked for three days straight, thus why this writeup is just here now. Dangerous spends its second week at the top of the chart. There aren't really any direct competitors, so barring a surprise jump, they should stay atop next week. Am I Wrong jumps up to the top 3, but is starting to peak (its fictional bullet is ~0). After the Disco has an odd jump back up two spots due to other songs dropping quicker. If my records are correct (which they probably are), this week it ties the record for weeks in the Top 10 with 12 weeks. Magic moves up two spots and draws near to the Top 5. After Modern Jesus falls three spots (soon to be replaced by any number of Portugal. The Man singles in the Top 10, two songs continue to climb. Reverse moves up two spots and Wizard debuts in the Top 10 from #12. It's Martin Garrix's second Top 10 in chart history, Animals peaked at #5 back in April. X-Kid drops four spots and Fever tumbles out of the Top 10 down to #13.
Debuts were few and far between this week, only 7. Torn To Pieces takes the honor at #64, ex-Active #1 that has little competition. It's probably not Top 10 bound but it might have a decent run behind it. Hail Bop from Django Django steps in at #77, which might be one of the lowest second-highest debuts in chart history. It has a nice upside if it can get past the logjam of songs in the 50-70 range. Panama's Always debuts at #79, a last second entry that snuck into the Top 50 of Alt radio. Next up is Control, the incorrectly chosen second single from After the Disco that still happens to be pretty good in its own right. Love Runs Out gives OneRepublic its first chart entry at #87. I'm sure I'll get sick of it eventually like I did with Counting Stars, but this time my chart was around for the beginning of the single so it has a chance to chart before it burns out. No Rest For The Wicked from Lykke Li debuts at #87, another late entry that might have a solid run in its future. Final entry this week is the second single from The Hunting Party, Until It's Gone at #94. Guilty All The Same peaked at #46 but only spent 6 weeks on the chart. I don't see this one having a better faring as it's one of the worse songs on the new album but it had Bubbled for 4 weeks and I was really stretching for entries this week. Sue me.
Nothing too notable in dropouts, we're only down to nine songs that were on the chart in its first week, as four exit this time around. For three weeks in a row now, the top two of my chart have been the same. You'd almost think this was the Hot 100, until you saw three new Top 10 songs in one week. I can't remember the last time that's happened there. So it's Dangerous and Mr. Tembo leading off the chart again, Dangerous grabbing its third week at #1 and Mr. Tembo having his fifth week in the Top 2. Change arrives at #3, when White Lies jumps from #12 to #3 in its fifth week on the chart. It has a pretty good chance of disrupting the top 2 alliance soon, so stay tuned for that. Am I Wrong and Best Friend recede one spot each. Feels Like We Only Go Backwards is the second new entry to the Top 10 and a pain to type out completely. It enters at #6 and has a strong chance to improve on that soon with falling songs above. Wizard moves up two despite all of the chaos above and Reverse drops a spot from #8 to #9. Hip Hop Kids enters at #8, seamlessly replacing Modern Jesus as it drops out of the Top 10 to keep the streak of Portugal. The Man Top 10 presence strong. Finally, After the Disco hangs on at #10 for its 13th week in the Top 10, extending the record it grabbed weeks ago.
Hot Shot this week is Hozier's Take Me To Church, a haunting tune that's doing quite well on Triple A and just about to make a dent on Alt. It grabbed me enough to give it a Top 50 debut, which hasn't been all that common recently. Second is Heaven Knows from The Pretty Reckless, late to the party on this one but it finally grew enough on me to have a debut. At #76 is Jack White's second single on my chart,That Black Bat Licorice. After listening to the album, this jumped over High Ball Stepper for my choice for the second single (HBS sits at #4 on its 5th week on the BU chart). Family Tree debuts at #81, which means I've finally caught up with the Kings of Leon singles, Temple is dropping and Wait For Me is about to peak. My chart is slightly faster than radio so even catching onto singles late isn't that big of a deal. I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore (another way too long title) enters at #84, marking Rise Against's first song on my chart. It's a decent entry but might stall out depending on how the song grows on me. Crystallized is the second single from Mind Over Matter (over the title track which I don't like all that much) to chart at #87. It's About Time peaked at #59 on the chart's first week. Stuck On You marks the fourth New Politics song to chart and the third from A Bad Girl In Harlem to make it. Entering at #91, it will have to deal with Dignity's strong bullet before it can truly make a mark on the chart. Finally, an odd song When We're Fire barely makes the cut at #97. Lo-Fang made enough of an impression to skip the Bubbling Under and have a shot on the main chart. I have no idea where this song is going to end up.
In dropouts this week, the first ever #1 drops off, as Talk Dirty makes its exit after 19 weeks from #85. Another chart titan, Do I Wanna Know drops off from #99. With both of those staples gone, only 7 songs remain from the initial 100. Wow, that was a long one this week. I have a beach vacation coming up soon with spotty internet, so I'm not sure what will happen with the chart but I'll do my best to get it up for all of my avid readers (and mostly my own records).

Dangerous spends its record-tying fourth week at #1. It's the first song to spend all of those four weeks consecutively at the top, After the Disco was interrupted by Say Goodbye. White Lies moves up to #2, now getting very close to challenging for the top spot. Feels Like We Only Go Backwards is close behind at #3, refreshing the top few spots. Mr. Tembo drops a few spots, still a bit of a way to go before it's out of the Top 10. Hip Hop Kids becomes Portugal. The Man's second Top 5 single all-time. Expect that to change as four other songs are moving up the chart with strong bullets. Best Friend extends its run as the longest charting song currently in the Top 10 by slipping from 5 > 6. Wizard flatlines at #7, I'm unsure whether it's going to outpeak Animals (#5) or not. 3005 from Childish Gambino jumps from #12 to be the chart's first new Top 10 of the week. Am I Wrong? takes a huge hit down five slots to #9. The Neighbourhood's Wires sneaks in from #14 to place in at #10. A few songs had very impressive jumps this week, most of all Out Of The Black from Royal Blood. The #2 Active Rock song makes the T-4th highest weekly jump, moving from #71 - #45. Last week's Hot Shot Take Me To Church moves from #49 -> #27 en route to the Top 10. Hot Shot Debut this week is Stromae's Alors On Danse, debuting at #63. For some reason I thought that the remix featuring Kanye West was the original version. I found the real version and loved it just as much as the singles from racine caree. It should have a strong chart run. My fourth chart single from Supermodel, Are You What You Want To Be? jumps in at #71. It's already outpeaked Pseudologica Fantastica(#77) , and should jump past Helena Beat(#46) close enough. Jury's out on whether it can match Best Friend though. Kongos debuts their new single I'm Only Joking at #74. I Want To Know has taken a hit from the new single debut and will probably slowly make its way off of the chart. Third single from Under The Influence of Giants hits the chart, Against All Odds moves in at #80. It probably stands a better chance than In The Clouds and might outpeak Mama's Room since it charted after it's peak had passed. Something Good enters at #83, alt-J's fourth chart single from An Awesome Wave. A new alt-J song on the chart that isn't really new. Hunger of the Pine is near the bottom of the 25 Bubbling Under songs, it has grown on me a little bit though so might enter the chart in a few weeks. The Golden Age charts at #85, Woodkid's second entry after Run Boy Run peaked at #53 at the chart's genesis. Evil Friends is yet another Portugal. The Man single from the album with the same name on the chart. It enters at #87, and hopefully is low enough so its progress won't be impeded by the rest of the album's singles. Last debut goes out to The Chamber from Lenny Kravitz, the lead single from his new album. It was a last second addiction and I'm not really sure where it's going to go. In dropouts this week. There's nothing really notable. Come With Me Now is the only dropout from the Top 10. m.A.A.d City also leaves the chart, another one of the chart's first week entries. Only five remain now, and I'll surely mention when any of them drop off (spoiler: four of the five are within 20 spots of leaving the chart). Maybe I shouldn't include this section anymore, I never have anything to say about it other than the songs that were from the first week that dropped off. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the chart and hopefully I can get next week's up despite being at the beach. I don't know a lot of these (I need to check them out) but go "Gold"! I'm rooting for that one. My chart's quite a bit more Alternative-leaning than the rest of the ones in this section so that might be why. Also I chart songs from any time period, so most of them are current but some are a few years old and a couple are even 10+ years old. So that might be why a lot don't seem familiar. Gold's probably going to get into the Top 10 in a week or two, though the Top 10 is getting crowded so I'm not sure how much higher it can climb after that. Glad to see someone else is charting it though, thanks for checking out my chart!

β’ So good to see "Best Friend" and "Wizard" in the Top 10. Even better to know that the former made the Top 3. β’ "Magic", "One Minute More", "Raging Fire" and "All I Need" are in the Top 40. β’ Go "Battle Cry", "War Rages On" and "Love Runs Out". β’ Sad at those falls of "Summer", "Of the Night" and "Things We Lost in the Fire". β’ Nice debuts of "Are You What You Want to Be?" and "I'm Only Joking".

Thanks for the comments! I've really enjoyed Wizard and Animals, anything else from Martin Garrix you would recommend? I tried Helicopter but didn't like it all that much. The two Bastille songs had been on for a while so it was their time to drop, but Summer might be on the rebound soon. The new Foster the People and Kongos songs both have a strong shot at the Top 10. Love Runs Out rising!!! Rather Be is gone :'( :'( :'( Great list!!! Sorry , Rather Be started to sort of burn out on me right as it's taking off in the US, so that should be interesting. Still enjoy the song though, just was time to go from my chart. Love Runs Out probably has a solid run ahead of it though, once it can get through an especially clogged section of the chart. Thanks for reading!

So I got the chart finished on time for Wednesday, but the slow/non-existent Internet down at my beach house means I couldn't post it here until I got back. So you'll probably get bombarded with next week's chart in a few days. Sorry. Top song of the week is (shockingly) still Dangerous. It breaks the record for most weeks at #1 and manages to fit all of its weeks in consecutively. The song has started to slow down in rotation recently, and there are a few flying up the chart so six weeks is a little shaky. Meanwhile, White Lies remains at #2, unable to overcome Dangerous despite being a little fresher and more played recently. Hip Hop Kids jumps to #3, but if I had a system of Bullets it wouldn't have one. Expect its position to reverse in coming weeks as more Portugal. The Man songs overtake it. Mr. Tembo is now on his way down the hill, but he's taking his time with it. Just a one place drop this week, now seven weeks in the top 10 under his belt. 3005 moves to #6 in an attempt to stop a crowd of rising songs below. Lazaretto is now up to #7 in the Top 10. Initially when I heard it I didn't think it would hit Top 10 on my chart and on Alternative radio, so both of those predictions miserably failed. Two other singles from Lazaretto are just starting their chart runs, so the lead single might be finished soon. Best Friend spends an astonishing twelfth week in the Top 10 (tying After the Disco for the record), dropping from #6 > #8. With Are You What You Want To Be? now the clear fourth single from Supermodel, its descent might pick up, though I hope it doesn't since I'm still enjoying the song quite a bit. Finally, Wires and Creep In A T-Shirt move up a few spots each, but might have to sacrifice their Top 10 placements soon as they are starting to flatline and other songs will surely take their place if they don't pick up. In a quiet week (only 14 adds), I still managed to have 6 debuts on the chart. Hopefully I can get that number just as high next week but that's up in the air. Hot Shot is what might be the last single from The Neighbourhood's I Love You., Flawless. Just as Wires is beginning to stall out, another song appears to pick up the load. Golden from Parade of Lights makes an appearance at #76. I had apparently enjoyed it four weeks ago when I added it to the Bubbling Under chart, then promptly forgot about it and let it drop and almost fall off that 25 place chart. A few days ago it got another random listen and I questioned why I didn't just chart it in the first place. Oh well, at least it has an almost-zero burn rate. High Ball Stepper steps in at #83, giving Jack White his third currently charting song. That Black Bat Licorice might impede a quick rise but Lazaretto didn't have the strongest start and now it's Top 10 so that might be a good thing. Come Back at #86 is a quick replacement for White Denim after their first chart entry exits this week. It might peak higher, or might have a very similar run to Pretty Green. OK GO's The Writing's On The Wall benefits from a weak chart and a slow week, moving in at #94. It will probably hang around at least two more weeks before the chart slowdown can normalize, but maybe the song will grow on me by then. Finally, Call Me enters at #98. St. Paul & The Broken Bones had spent seven weeks Bubbling Under, and just recently started to peak and drop. The song had a bit of a spike in listens though before I left and that moved it just into Top 100 position at the end of the week. Another song with similar future prospects to OK Go. Six dropouts this week, two ( Things We Lost in the Fire and Little Black Submarines) part of the first class. Now only three songs remain from the first chart, two of which are below #96. It's now clear what the first song to hold the untied "Most Weeks On Chart" will be, but how long will it claim the title? Songs like After the Disco and Best Friend have hung around much longer in the Top 10 than The Walker, but their descents will have to be just as slow to take the record away when they drop off. Thanks for the comments! I've really enjoyed Wizard and Animals, anything else from Martin Garrix you would recommend? I tried Helicopter but didn't like it all that much. You're welcome! I also tried "Helicopter" and it happened the same as you said. I mean, I liked it, but it burnt on me really fast Anyway, besides those three, I could recommend you: β’ "Proxy": It was meant to be the follow-up of "Helicopter", but it ended as a free download. However, it was released in some European countries. β’ "Tremor (Sensation 2014 Anthem)": It's a collaboration with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and it was released as his next single. β’ "Gold Skies": It's a collaboration with Sander van Doorn and DVBBS and it features Aleesia. It's out on Beatport, but looks like it's going to be released next on iTunes. I don't know if you're also into his remixes, but in case if you want to give a try to them, you could listen to "Crackin" and "Backlash".

Looks like I have some homework now. Hopefully Martin Garrix can get back into the 7/16 chart or at least get a song Bubbling Under.
