New show began on the iHeart channel with #30 at 1 p.m. EDT. 20-18 segment was skipped. And, of course, no optional extras except for Hour 4.
And Sia is the Subway Fresh Buzz song.

In that case, I guess "Crazy Stupid Love" would be a Breakout, since it's never been on AT40 before. I wonder how AT40 would have handled the group's previous single, the #1 dance hit "Go F**k Yourself" (unlike Cee-Lo Green's similarly titled song, I'm not sure if an edited for radio version was produced.) 10 extras this week, including one of the five droppers. Last week Ryan said there were 7 former #1's when it was actually 8; now we're down to 6 with "Wake Me Up" and "Demons" exiting; as I noted last week this is the first AT40 in nearly a year and a half with no Imagine Dragons. I didn't expect "#SELFIE" to be replayed as an extra, as like most novelty songs it did a fast fade, but they might as well squeeze one more play out of it while it's still a fresh memory. Cool to hear "Sweater Weather"; I don't particularly need to hear "Boom Boom Pow" again, but it was a massive hit so others will enjoy it (remember when it was one of four Black Eyed Peas hits on the chart at once). Speaking of multi-charting acts, Sam Smith will soon have three chart hits (counting features), unusual for a newcomer.

Too late for Human, that song deserved a lot more. At least Chandelier will benefit from the extra spins

At first glance, with the five debuts you'd think they were back up to a straight 2 weeks behind, no more no less - but I don't think so. If anything, these debuts remind me more of what happened on the last chart of last year, with some of those five debuts proving to be early (one of which never reaching the actual Mediabase recurrentless 40). I'm thinking the same thing's happening here with these five - yes, 1D and KONGOS certainly belong, but Christina Perri's the one who won't actually make it, AJR still haven't yet, and DeRulo/Snoop are only now just getting there.

Let me know if they ever play the first three optional extras (and the rest of the show entirely). I have to go to work Tomorrow.

Sam Smith will soon have three chart hits (counting features), unusual for a newcomer. I'm pretty sure that happened with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Ricky Martin, Real McCoy and Ke$ha.

Surprised with 5 new entries on the chart. It's too bad that AJR probably won't be on the chart long, and Christina Perri, which is a shame.
Justin will most likely have the #1 spot next week.

How long until "Love Runs Out" debuts on the chart? Based on it's current trajectory, I'm thinking it could be a Breakout next week, and debut the following week.

I guess "Love Never Felt So Good" by Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake got the shaft again this week. Is it ever going to make Ryan's AT40 even as a Breakout or a Fresh Buzz song?

Ah...it still very well could. It's still early for it to do that now (even given the events of this week ), but it's still going up, so I wouldn't rule it out yet. Particularly not with that song.

Hey guys someone forgot to mention that after breaking through in 2008, Lady Gaga had her first bomb (single wise) with G.U.Y. peaking at #33 and failing to even reach the top ten. Unlike her other singles which if memory serves have done much better.

Although with Judas there was quite a bit of controversy to go with it. I hope Gaga's glory days aren't behind her.

There was a Twitter "vote" during the show to determine the Buzz song. Give me a break. Ryan again got "down" to the 2 biggest hits. The Monster at #30 for 3 weeks in a row. Lots of new music this week. I still like the 20+ week songs. They like to bring back songs that have recently dropped off, as opposed to in the Casey era when we "had to say goodbye to them." Ryan said that Sia is very shy and recently performed with her back to the camera on the Ellen show.
