Heard it on 91x today and didn't recognize it at all. All I remember is that I said to my self this sounds very 70s Clash-like. Then the deejay introduced it as "Trainwreck" I swear it sounded different than what I heard on youtube.

Expect this one to see some big adds and updates soon - they're this month's new iHeartRadio On The Verge artist at the format.

I wouldn't say alot, but some should, yeah. I think Seether and Rise Against are the only two active top 10 songs that, on quality alone, should be alternative top 10s. Even "Until It's Gone" is a stretch, as it just isn't all that great. I think the Nothing More, Chevelle, and Starset songs should be top 30 at most, and there's nothing alternative about the Slash, Godsmack, and Pretty Reckless songs so they don't belong on the format at all (Although "Heaven Knows" alternative enough, I think "Messed Up World" is a typical straight up hard rock song). You Me At Six is a tricky one. Historically speaking that type of song should be big on alt and do nothing on active, but both formats have shifted so it just is what it is.

You Me At Six is a tricky one. Historically speaking that type of song should be big on alt and do nothing on active, but both formats have shifted so it just is what it is. "Until It's Gone" is a POS but it's better than most of the songs on Alternative. "Guilty" was full of quality yet that did nothing, so "Until It's Gone" should compensate. Nothing More is a #1-quality Active song, but I'd be glad if it went Top 40 on Alternative. Same thing with "Hunter Eats Hunter" and "My Demons". They deserve a Top 10 on quality alone, but it's not realistic. "Words as Weapons" and "IDWTBHA" should be both Top 10s on quality and name. Slash, Godsmack and The Pretty Reckless are crap songs, but I get why all three are hits - the former two are huge names, and TPR is following the current Song of the Year. 100% agreed on YM@6 - to me, it's like a softer version of "Feel Good Drag" by Anberlin. The type of songs that Active would have laughed at and Alternative would have smashed. Just look at my personal charts - every song but Until It's Gone, Slash, Godsmack and Pretty Reckless have reached my Top 10.

You Me At Six is a tricky one. Historically speaking that type of song should be big on alt and do nothing on active, but both formats have shifted so it just is what it is. I think a reason "Room to Breathe" was s**t-canned by Alternative was because that it's now in the Active Top 10, it's "too Active" for them to play. Same thing that (basically) happened with Royal Blood. Although it makes no sense, because as Green Baron said, it's pretty much like an Anberlin song, so I'd believe Alternative would give it at least some attention. Nothing More and Starset probably never got play because Alternative is too hip to play heavier songs now, even though the former seems to be getting good reviews on nearly every music site. "Until It's Gone" should have gone Top 10 because IMO it's a good song. It beats both "Burn It Down" and "Castle of Glass" from last era in terms of quality, and especially "A Light That Never Comes". I'd like Godsmack to chart on Alternative just because I like them. For my thoughts on this song, this is pretty sweet. This is some of the indie stuff I can actually get behind. Cody

I'm still in the state of mind that You Me at Six should be an Alternative hit, and by the looks of things so are you guys too.

It's even more (historically) alternative friendly than "Room To Breathe", but it's kinda like an AFI or Jimmy Eat World song in the sense that it really doesn't fit into either format at the moment (which is unfortunate...I don't feel as strongly about the alt status of bands that are capable of succeeding on active anyways, but the rock-leaning pop-punk doesn't really have a place and that place SHOULD be alternative).

This is the song alternative needs right now to hit the big spot. Hopefully alternative goes in this direction of music a little more!

Is there anyone who DOESN'T want this to be huge? Here I am! Eh, I don't get the hype surrounding this song. Maybe I need to listen to it more but after one listen it's nothing special, not even in my top 30.

I was blown away by the album. 11 really solid, energetic tracks with plenty of potentially great single choices. I very much recommend it to just about anyone who digs "Trainwreck 1979". Pipa have you listened yet? I'm hoping for "Crystal Ball" and "Gemini" to be singles #2 and 3. I get the feeling they're gonna go with "The Physical World" at some point though, which is also cool.

Wow, I haven't heard an album that packed that much punch in a long time. It's clear they haven't been wasting these past ten years. I didn't want it to end, lol.
