Welcome to the Big Brother house!
Basic game mechanics:
Upon entering the household, Big Brother houseguests are locked away until eviction. There are three types of competitions:
A) HOH (Head of household) – The winner of this competition chooses tow people to put up for eviction. The remaining houseguests then vote via PM who they wish to evict.
B) POV (Power of Veto) – The winner of this competition has the ability to remove one of the two people put up for eviction. If a person is removed from eviction, then another person is chosen by the HOH to put up instead.
C) Have/Have-not competitions – These competitions involve teams of people competing to avoid being a “have-not,” which generally means an uncomfortable sleeping arrangements and horrible food combinations. (For the Pulse version, I don’t think we’ll have too many of these.)
Game continues in this manner until the final two houseguests are remaining.
At a midway point through the game, evicted players began to form a jury. This jury is sequestered and is unaware of most of the events occurring in the Big Brother household after their eviction. The jury then votes between the final two evictees as to which one is the winner.
Rules:
0) Please avoid posting pointless Mariah Carey pictures.
1) Please follow the Pulse guidelines in terms of conducting yourself with other people. Vicious personal attacks will not be tolerated, and could result in early eviction. That said, please try to work out any issues first before bringing in a Pulse moderator.
2) It goes without saying that cheating at competitions is not allowed. If cheating is suspected, then the player will get one warning and will have to go three weeks without participating in any competitions. A second violation will result in eviction.
3) Multi-posting is allowed; editing/deleting posts are not allowed.
4) PM conversations are allowed as sidebars to any discussion in the main thread. The game moderators must be included in any PM conversations connected to the game. Your moderators are popstop and ry4n. :)
5) Diary room conversations are a part of Big Brother, and part of this one. They will be published at the end of the game. Please make an effort to correspond with the moderators as you progress through Big Brother.
6) Votes for eviction will be handled by PM. These PMs may not be shared or forwarded. Evictions are made official only by the game moderators.
7) Once a player has been evicted, they may not communicate with any other players with reference to the game. This includes any PM threads of which they were a part.
8) If a player makes the jury, they will be sequestered within a quicktopic.
9) Some competitions may involve playing games on other web sites. You will be expected to PM the moderators a screen grab of any scores with your Pulse profile in the background. Screen shots are not allowed in the main thread.
10) Some competitions may be timed. This will handled by scheduling with one of the mods a time when you can participate.
11) Outside discussion in other threads is not permitted. Discussion of the game may only occur in the Big Brother thread, quicktopics, or in PMs including the game moderators.

13) Please be conscious of all deadlines and participate in the game with regularity. If inactivity becomes a problem, the game moderators may forcibly evict you. Activity means participating in threads or PMS at least once every 48 hours. If there is an outstanding condition (vacation, illness, creating an awesome top 100 Pulse people thread), the mods can grant extensions by request. You will get three warnings TOTAL for inactivity before eviction.
14) If you have questions about the game within the thread, please bold the question and start the question with "Julie", like so – Julie, will you please stop starting every sentence with a “but first…”?
15) No codes or hidden text. English only in the main thread and PMs,
16) If you feel someone has violated these rules, notify one of the game moderators.
17) If you are a non-houseguest who would like access to the green room, notify one of the game moderators. Information discussed in the green room may not be shared with the houseguests. Non-players may not post in the Big Brother thread or “like” posts. Failure to follow this rule may result in non-participation in other game threads.
18) Going forward, if an HOH misses their nomination deadline, the person who came in 2nd will instead nominate someone. The deadlines include both the original nominations and replacing a nominee on the block in the event of removal by POV. The same will go for POV competitions. If you win POV and miss your deadline, the person in 2nd place will make the decision.
19) Votes for eviction MUST be through the diary. They cannot be through other PMs such as alliance threads or competition submission threads. Once votes have been submitted, they may not be revealed within alliances or publicly.
20) If you think you might miss the eviction vote because you will be out of town, you may send in your vote early. We will only accept early votes once nominees have been announced. If you are going to miss nominations AND the eviction vote, then an early vote will not be accepted. If you send an early vote before POV, and the nominees change as a result of the POV, your vote will not be counted. (Even if your original target is still on the block, we are not going to presume your mind wouldn't be changed by the addition of a new nominee.)
21) If one of the above rules are violated, you will get a warning. 3 warnings results in disqualification from all competitions for one (real-life) week. 6 warnings results in eviction. The exception is a warning for inactivity. 3 inactivity warnings will still result in eviction.
22) Comment in PMs may not be directly quoted into either another PM or to the main thread.

Eviction nominees announced; POV competition begins
POV winner announced; TWELVE hours for POV winner to decide if they will use the POV
If VETO used, HOH has TWELVE hours to decide to put someone else up for eviction
Vote for eviction; 24 hours to send your votes in.
