I'm loving the direction Usher is going right now. It is better than Pharrell's megahits ("Happy" and "Blurred Lines").

I liked "I Don't Mind"; however, this sounds like the direction in which "Good Kisser" started for him so this track makes sense as the follow up. As for the track, I think Nicki is the weak link on it, but Usher is giving me everything plus more. The production is quite a mix of Pharrell's current/past hits, but it isn't any retread thankfully. I am still very excited about this album. It feels like it will be a "funky" meets current R&B type of album.

It took bout 4 seconds for the Queen to get up of her chair and my standards for Pharrell and Usher is HIGH, they gave it me. This is fucking major hot. It's fresh and has older elements and one of the most interesting production masterpieces I have heard in a minute. People going to think im "hating" but that retro fresh vibe I was on was kinda interrupted by the otherwise good rap from Nicki, but I wish they kept her for the remix imo. yass Pharrell and Usher cause i love it. Let me get my A+++ stanning again for King Usher. Blurred Lines what?

HOT! I like Blurred Lines more though. This is Blurred Lines lite and it's not even subtle about it. It has a more Michael jackson esque feel to it.

Yes! Finally a single-worthy song from Usher again! Thank God.

The main problem in terms of radio? The chorus doesn't pop out enough. After listening only once, the verses and beat are drilled in my head but I can't recall the hook yet. I think it won't be a problem for radio but I see what you mean. The "Just Be Good to Me" sample basically took over - that melody is so perfect that it kind of flipped the arrangement on its head and forced the verses into becoming the "hook," if that makes any sense. And that swingy 80s beat, how can you not remember that? This will get lots of BL comparisons but I think that will be okay because this is different enough from it to not feel like a carbon copy and because other than Happy, there haven't been any other hits that went in that direction. So this still feels fresh to me, and I like that it is a continuation of Good Kisser b/c that gives me hope that the album as a whole has a cohesive sound or theme despite having several different producers. This also has the feel of a much-improved "Twisted," so it doesn't quite feel so bandwagony, maybe just Usher deciding to pick up where one of his last album tracks left off. I'm really, really, really pleased with this. I was wondering how Usher was going to find the happy medium between a pop friendly song and placating his urban fanbase.

Actually, I like this a lot more on second listen. I could see this being on the same album as Blurred Lines. Maybe Pharell should've considered an album like Timbaland did a few years back instead of doing his own thing.

I REALLY wish he would put that iTunes link up already.

Good song. I might even like it more than Blurred Lines. Nicki's verse is great as well. I think their first collab Lil' Freak is miles above this, personally, but I'll be jammin' to this all summer long.

I like this, but this does not sound like a hit at all. Nicki's verse sucks here too.

The HQ is even better. I'm hooked on this now! If there's any justice this will become his 10th Hot 100 #1. Hopefully promo isn't half ass.

This could potentially be as big as "Yeah!" and "OMG" were for his career.

He sounds good on one this, but I'm not hooked. I don't care for the production; I feel he got the scrapes from Pharrell's recycle bin. & Why is Nicki even copied & pasted onto here? The song would be better w/o her. I'm not hearing this hit a lot of you all are claiming it could be, however crazy things has happened lately w/songs that doesn't sound like a hit, in my eyes.

I wish he'd tweet that it's available on iTunes. If it weren't for this forum, I wouldn't have known.

I guess I'm the only person who doesn't hear "Blurred Lines" in this? This is very MJ "Off the Wall" sounding to me and "Blurred Lines" was a Marvin Gaye ripoff.

I guess I'm the only person who doesn't hear "Blurred Lines" in this? It legit reminds me of "Sing" by Ed Sheeran more than "Blurred Lines" or "Happy." It's identifiable as Pharrell's production beyond a doubt, but quite unique compared to any particular prior hit of his. The "Just Be Good To Me" sample also provides more of an authentic, throwback R&B style as well imo.
