@spiritanimal this list is doing it! Loving everything but #54 - just YES! That beezy brought it with that one.
I wish #51 was higher but hey. And also, get "Nobody's Business" on here please! Boppiest of bops! If you all didn't tell me it wasn't officially released I would never know. My local CHRs & the Rhythmic were playing that song out.
Looking forward to the rest!

#49 V.S.O.P K Michelle
Yass she finna channeled that voice and toned it the fuck down, a nice vocal delivery over a lush beat. This song went hard for me in the spring and as per most of her music went down the charts for me. She is delivers once in a while and on this record, she did bring the heat so I credit her for that.
A well done R&B bop that would have been hotter if her tone was on point. A love song that you can dance to dance to, sorta. Nothing groundbreaking but very effective. I may not be a fan of her personally but don't hate nevertheless.

#48 La La La Naughty Boy feat Sam Smith
If I got into this song last year it might have been top 10 spun by me but I discovered 4 months ago and ever since its really been one of my favorites. I saw its initial success but never truly listened. It took my love affair with Sam Smith to finna find it and thankful I stay a fan.
Even though it has many influences bottom line its a R&B smash for me and its got a ethereal realness. The song is flawless, the video confused the hell out of me, cute but what the hell? Cinematic realness for sure.
A beautiful melody, great vocals and very interesting production. LOVE IT!

#47 I Luv This Shit August Alsina Feat. Trinidad James
The title says it all, I luv this shit. A banging urban bop, with a rapid fire vocal full of attitude. I get lifted and swaying my hips every time i hear this song. A fun song if you really give it a chance and yes while a bit overdone and isn't anything brand new, its HOT. Al music doesn't have to be groundbreaking, how does it make you feel?
It makes me feel naughty and apparently others too since its has over 20 million view, get that smash August. I'm sure he noticed since he can be a arrogant fucker.

#46 Don't Think They Know Aaliyah Feat Chris Brown (yup she will always be lead, k)
A really banging beat with incredible vocals by Aaliyah, just seeing her soft cooing voice over a hard beat gives me chills. Chris did his usual good job but the highlight of the song for me was the production. The beat was fire and Aaliyah added the final touches to make this one of the hotter songs of the year for me.
What i loved about this song is despite its fresh new beat it has that throwback R&B feel and NO the song isnt some ratchet club anthem, watch the video there is very good message about violence and guns in there too.
"Dear Aaliyah, we love and miss you. Thank you for inspiring us all. "

#45 Say Something A Great Big World feat Christina Aguilera
Beautifully composed ballad that is very melancholy and very powerful in nature, I really enjoyed most how simple it was. Sometimes you don't need the bells and whistles just a simple piano and voice matching with great melody and a haunting feel and you have a WINNER
The video was as simple but yet beautiful like the song and Christina looking frigging beautiful in this . Just pure classy is the best way to describe this hit.

#44 Loveeee Song Rihanna Feat future
Another song from my favorite Rihanna album yet, the song did get released mainly in the UK but in the spring we all got to hear it all over. I guess its a mid tempo ballad, but i call it a bop. It has that futuristic feel to it and is a hazy vibe that I quite enjoy.
A perfect blend between R&B and pop, and I love the cracked, but yet passionate assist from Future. I'm always here for urban Riri. She came a long ways on this album. A crossover sound that is very rich and lush.

#43 XO Beyonce
Dedicated to Jback aka Justin, who will love it but also drag me for not ranking it higher xo. I will go on record as say its not even close to my favorites of her album, but in the grand scope of it all there is a lot to love. It has this haunting vibe that usually draws me to songs and that video is just exquisite. It is a pop record that crossover appeal to urban as well just because its BEYONCE of course.
I have to be in the right mood and setting and that is why it did not rank very high, but hey out of the thousands of songs I heard last year, top 43 is good enough. Beyonce has a unique ability to make me listen to her even though she isn't one of my favorites singers.
So many great records on the album and we will get to another one much later on.

#42 That Girl Jennifer Nettles
yasss lawd , Nashville soul right here. I feel like I'm sitting by a fire and having her singing me acoustic style right in front of me. She and Rick Rubin really went in on this song, I love the sparseness of it all. I feel like it stripped all the shit that can muddle up songs and gave something so soulful and organically good.
Not only organic but also sultry and sexy served up from Jennifer. This is a cute song that I hope everyone gives a chance to appreciate it.

Yas at Don't Think They Know making it. Aaliyah's vocals were definitely a highlight. I'm shocked that XO made it since I thought you didn't really use it. #42 That Girl Jennifer Nettles
Tagging @dawson because of this.

Tagging @dawson because of this. XO didn't use it during the album run, over time started to get into it and lately really do like it alot. Which is why I'm having fun looking back at all the songs I liked and don't anymore and vice versa. Applause is another one, I love now. Well the remix.

#41 Overgrown James Blake
Please buy his album. That's the main point.
Now this song is fucking epic, no I don't expect you to listen to it before you go partying, but listen to it. A infusion of so many musical genres sung over a haunting production with a impeccable voice. James Blake voice makes me just feel, think and moves me like no other.
The video and the song is just a event, its cinematic, its a mini movie and you can take this song and use your imagination and run with it. One of his 3 singles of this album that i still enjoy today.

#40 Suit and Tie Justin Timberlake Feat. Jay Z
A song that has been tumbling down my list, from love to like. In fact Justin overall keeps dropping for me personally, but maybe I'm just burned out on him. This is a catchy, fun and insanely addictive up tempo when its first came out, and unlike James Blake last song, you can listen to this at all times. Its perfect before and after the clubs if you know what I mean .
The production is interesting enough and JT does what he does best, sing in that falsetto with precision. Another crossover song and I love those best, although the drama this song created last year was utterly unnecessary.
I love a man in a suit and tie my damn self, and I love this song.

#39 When I Was Your Man Bruno Mars.
Let me just say I love Bruno, I love all his songs, his singles. I love how upbeat he is, how fun he is and how evokes the past and makes it fresh. Having said that this might be my least favorite of his singles, but that means shit since I still love it.
A beautiful ballad, lead with that identifiably once in a lifetime vocals by Bruno. His tone is gorgeous, his melodies are always on point and all his videos are pure class. I love the rich, creamy tone he has in this song and there is a upbeat vibe to even his saddest songs.
Bruno is the fucking truth
