I simply cannot get over how perfect this album is. With 18 tracks you just expect a handful of filler or clunkers. No one makes long albums anymore like that, never mind long albums that are solid from start to end. And yet, here is CRJ, just casually dropping off perfection like it's nbd. There isn't ONE misstep. HOW?
IRLY and Your Type are probably the weakest tracks to me, and these are both solid 4 out of 5 earworms. But then the Keegan remix of IRLY brings it back to five star status so we're back to no weak links and me just being kind of in awe again.

Once again, the girl delivered a killer album, cohesive without being boring or repetitive, and once again no once is going to listen to it. This i so f**ked up. This oh so much. This album is incredible. I thought Kiss was great, but this trumps it. Definitely one of my favorite albums this year. And radio not having any of it

Damn, she went and created another excellent record. "LA Hallucinations" is so trippy, what a ride. I will also NOT stand for "Your Type" being designated one of the weakest tracks on the album, absolutely not! The Sia co-write ("Boy Problems") is the only one I'm on the fence with.

Gimmie f#cking Love though. Right when the bridge hits and the background layers on is just incredible. That, Run Away With Me, and Boy Problems are my Top 3 bar the already released tracks.

Hey now, I didn't say Your Type was actually weak! Just that it's the 'weakest' of an indisputably strong bunch of songs. I have certain songs that I'm starting to gravitate more than others, but I don't skip anything. I'm just so happy with this album (and sad that like Kiss, its greatness will go largely unnoticed :( ).

I Didn't Just Come Here To Dance is my favourite, but I love the whole album. She killed it.

Run Away with Me is THE 11/10 standout pop song on this album. I'll have to give it another listen, but this was very impressive on first listen. Not really sure which songs stuck out because I was working while listening.
It's like a modern Cyndi Lauper album, just a little more subdued.

I listened to this album on my car stereo today and it brought a whole new experience. This is the progressive "next hot sound" album that no one else has come out with this year. She found the sound. Please get some Grammy's for this pls. Some of these songs have epic bass. I DARE anyone that has one of those annoying stereos that rattles the surrounding buildings when you roll through to play this loud.

Your Type is amazing, a killer chorus.
If she's going unnoticed, maybe she should start to write for others? Maybe she's just not clicking - but she clearly has so much talent.

This poor girl will never surpass one-hit wonder status in the US but props to her for continuing to try. She is nothing if not earnest. I will download the album when I get home.

"Your Type" is so good that I just want to make a second post affirming how that has to be one of the *strongest* songs. The chorus, the beat, the bass, the melody, the PHRASING: perfection.

If they were smart, they'd up the release date here in North America. I get she's big in Japan, but two months is a long wait to get the album legally. I mean, some are going to be impatient and resort to desperate measures (cough, Thepiratebay).

I already stole this...whoops but, look, based on the first song alone, I am going to stop listening and then wait to buy a physical copy. What kind of excellence is this Run Away With Me?!?
Watch Pitchfork give this album Best New Music or like a 7.8 out of 10.
Edit: Listened to like 10 seconds of each song to get a feel for it. WHAT IS THIS?!?! WHY CAN'T I HAVE THE PHYSICAL COPY NOW! I want to riot, break things, and start a petition. Mind you, I didn't even pirate her last CDs because I didn't care enough but yeah, I am erasing this from my computer except for the bonus songs I can't get in the US and will buy this in August. I don't care if I am literally the only one. All the 80s that I miss in one album and some current mixed in with it. This girl is a genius! Why is she not bigger?!

Sugary pop for sure but there's several tracks on here I can and will use. LA Hallucinations is easily my favorite thing she's ever done.

Sugary pop done right though. When Pulse is fawning over basic bitches who lack self-awareness but call themselves pop stars, we have this Canadian girl casually slaying. I feel like she is passionate about her music, even if few people care about it. That's the kind of attitude I look for in an artist. Oh...and she writes too. Even better.

I want to listen to this album so bad. I've been hooked on "All That" and "Emotion" lately, and I need to hear the rest of the album. Why is her record label so dumb? Don't wait till August, release the darn thing in the US now.

I've listened to almost half of it but "All That"!?!?!? That's some 80s grown and sexy shit. I cannot believe this is coming from Carly!?!? This is hands down my pop album of the summer. Finally somebody delivered!

Sugary pop done right though. I was not disputing that. This album should break her out as a legit Pop star but it probably won't. They've already failed massively by allowing a 2-month window for people to bootleg.

So let's say I wanted to import the album since the currently-released edition has more tracks than we're getting anyway. Any recommendations on retailers? I've used WOW HD before, but they apparently don't have stock yet.

I've used them for all my Japanese edition purchases, they offer many different shipping options that are very reasonable and I've never had any issues with them.

The album is really good. The only song that I don't really use is All That.

Yet another great album by Carly Rae Jepsen. Ugh. I wish this girl was getting more success.
"Run Away With Me" is fantastic. "LA Hallucinations" and "I Didn't Just Come Here to Dance," just yes. Need to give the album a few more listens before deciding what my other favorite tracks are.

Oh god this album has only grown on me.
"Emotion", "Run Away with Me", "Ginmie Love", "Making the Most of the Night", "All That", and "I a Didn't Just Come Here to Dance" all slay me dead. I don't think there's a single skippable track on the 18-track deluxe edition. Girl's too good for us.
