This is kinda trash. They could have kept this. Nicki's verse is wack.
Points to Bey for the elevator reference, though.

The remix is hot! The original has burned on me so much but this remix has got me back into it. I think I actually prefer it over the original.

The elevator line is so genius because it completely takes ownership of the story. She acknowledges, dismisses it, all the while asserting her and their power.
A year from now, any time the situation is brought up "Of course sometime shit go down when it's a billion dollars on an elevator" is all anyone is going to remember.

This remix will serve its purpose.
I like the fact she didn't make this feel like a copy and paste remix by rearranging/adding more to the production & including a new verse. That's what I truly love about this. Although I know this isn't an epic, untouchable remix, it is indeed rather catchy & packed w/too many quotable punchlines. It's quite enjoyable.

I think it has 4 quotables at least if not more.... Funny thing is me and my roommate had a discussion about THOT last week. I'm glad to see it finally made it into a song. LOL! I agree it doesn't make me feel like it's untouchable just yet. However, most rap songs that ended up being my favorite weren't initially.

...well yeah, 40% of that song's epicness is pretty much built JUST on the hype!! That said, the remixed production was a great touch and makes it feel like a REAL remix (you know, the ones where they don't just awkwardly add X or Y's verse to a song and call it a "remix"). And Bey's new verses definitely elevate the original song. Nicki's verse is really just good and not that exciting for me.

It was only a matter of time before someone used "THOT" in a song. Lol. Her stupid ass label needs to release this both to iTunes & radio, pronto!

Everyone is going to want to know the conversation and remember that, not some line from a beyonce remix. What on earth is "wishful thinking" supposed to mean? That I can't bear the idea that anyone will belabour the point about Solange in the elevator a moment longer and am living in a dream land to try and make it through another moment? My point was, with or without you trying to set me right as though you had any more fortune telling powers about what might or might not happen in the future is, that in one line she's made something that is both dismissive and direct, as well as being something very quotable. I've seen literally dozens of memes about it in the last few hours alone. It's a memorable line. One that's far more easy to reference and recollect than random conjecture about something of which nobody will ever know the specifics to. It, like "I woke up like this" or "Surfboard", I feel, will be pierce the pop culture psyche in a far more specific and precise way than than futile musings which are all but dead now, let alone in the future.

Solange will forever be Jay-Z's 100th problem, and that's ok. That secuirty video is famous, and will continue to be famous be years down the line. I guess we'll see if the public remembers what is said in this remix in the years to come. There's really no way to tell now.
All I know is I can't even remember what exactly beyonce said/sang about the subject and I just listened to the remix 5 minutes ago.

All I know is I can't even remember what exactly beyonce said/sang about the subject and I just listened to the remix 5 minutes ago. Well she says it twice. Very clearly and plainly so as to make it stand out. Even to the point where the beat cuts out. So you're either trying not to remember or lying in order to be a contrarian/obtuse about the point I made about it being a memorable line in the first place.

Is this the official fifth single? I hope this gets an iTunes release. It still baffles me that the Kanye remix of "Drunk in Love" was never released to iTunes.
