Well I hope it makes the top I don't want it to join CS among other songs in the songs I love but peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 club

I agree DIL is one of my least favorite songs this year. 
And from last year I love the #2 hits "Mirrors", "Get Lucky", "I Knew You Were Trouble", and "Radioactive", "Suit and Tie", "Ho Hey" mad "Scream and Shout" SHOULD HAVE reached the top 2...ESOECIALLY "Suit and Tie" because "Harlem Shake" should never have been in the top ten in the first place. -___-

I agree DIL is one of my least favorite songs this year.

If Suit and Tie was released by any one else it would've flopped and thats putting it mildly. Even for an R&B song is mediocre at best.

Had it been an Usher or Miguel track it would have gotten a low 60's peak at best.

I know it's stupid and there was little effort put into it but it's still catchy and Locked Out of Heaven was blocking it from top two after LOOH had already been on for a long time and needed to decrease already.

I hate when one song I like/love blocks another song I love/like (i.e. One More Night/Gangnam Style and Blurred Lines/Get Lucky) in its own way compared to the situation where a song I'm really tired of or dislike blocks a song that I like (i.e. Call Me Maybe/Payphone/Lights) but I love it when a song I love blocks a song I hate (i.e. I Gotta Feeling/Party in the USA as well as at the time I hated I Know You Want Me and Best I Ever Had even though I grew to like them later on) lol

No one hates her. We don't get information for every song, only a few. These lists come from people who have access to Mediabase, but those numbers actually aren't supposed to be given out at all. What that person is doing is considered illegal copyright infringement. We're very lucky to get these numbers, and the person creating these lists knows how much trouble they can get in if they leak too much information, so that's why they only do the top 20 plus a few extras every now and then.

Probably when the Beatles held the top 5 spots ;)

Also maybe when Adele had 3 songs in the top 10 in 2011, don't remember what else was in there though.

I know it's stupid and there was little effort put into it but it's still catchy and Locked Out of Heaven was blocking it from top two after LOOH had already been on for a long time and needed to decrease already.

"Thrift Shop" was much bigger than "Suit & Tie" imo. JT's song was lucky to get where it did.

Anyways, on topic, I'm glad that "Boom Clap" is getting such great updates.

What's the fourth? I only see Sam Smith, Disclosure and Calvin Harris. If you're thinking of Iggy she's Australian and if you're thinking of Charli she's Swedish iirc.

Anyway, as the Hot100 closely resembles the CHR/Pop chart right now, non-american acts are doing real fine. We had briefly talked about this over at the CHR/Pop section. Obviously the last time there were so many foreign competitors on the charts was in the mid 80's.

Unfortunately the guys at Billboard magazine haven't caught up on this trend yet. I'd love to see an in-depth article with further statistics on this.
