Besides, IMO "Something From Nothing" is the best #1 that chart has seen since like...uhh..."Say You'll Haunt Me" in 2010 Proudly presenting to you the latest edition of "You Asked For It" - Mediabase Active #1s (pulls a Green Baron and grades the Mediabase Active #1s). Break: A+ Your Decision: A+ Cryin' Like a Bitch!!: A- The Good Life: A Let Me Hear You Scream: A The Crow & the Butterfly: A Another Way to Die: A- Bad Company: A Nightmare: B+ Say You'll Haunt Me: A Porn Star Dancing: A World So Cold: A The Animal: B+ The Sex Is Good*: C Isolation: A- Welcome to the Family: B+ Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom): A+ Awake and Alive: A+ Rope: A+ Country Song: A Lies of the Beautiful People: A+ Sick: B So Far Away: A+ Lowlife: A+ Walk: A+ Not Again: B+ Tonight: A Face to the Floor: A Bully: A- A Warrior's Call: A No Resolution: B+ Love Bites (So Do I): C Live to Rise: A Hats Off to The Bull: A Burn It Down: A Still Counting: A You're a Lie*: B Unity: A Coming Down: A- Criticize: B Chalk Outline: A Absolute Zero: B+ Enemies: B+ Been Away Too Long: A- Carry On: C+ Heaven Nor Hell: A Stand Up: B+ Hollow: A Bones: A+ Freak Like Me: B- Where Did the Angels Go: B The High Road: A I'll Follow You: A By Crooked Steps: B+ Vilify: B The Hangman's Body Count: A+ Stone: B+ Trenches: B Lift Me Up: C+ Out of Time: B+ Hail to the King: A- Misery Loves My Company: A- Never Never: A- Lola Montez: A+ Battle Born: A+ Deal With the Devil: C+ Tired*: A Shepherd of Fire: B Heaven Knows: A Take Out the Gunman: A Guilty All the Same: A+ Torn to Pieces: A Painkiller: B+ Words As Weapons: A+ 1000HP: A This Is the Time (Ballast): A+ Until It's Gone: A Messed/F*cked Up World: B World On Fire: B+ Edge of a Revolution: B+ Something from Nothing: A+ Wrong Side of Heaven: A- *- denotes songs that didn't reach #1 on Mediabase but reached #1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. In all honesty, I prefer "Something from Nothing" to "Wrong Side of Heaven", but I want the latter to get at least a week at #1 on Billboard. Otherwise, SfN can start breaking records for the longest #1 on Mainstream Rock. And yes, I like "Cryin' Like a Bitch!!", "1000HP", "Porn Star Dancing", Theory of a Deadman and Staind.

so am I safe in assuming that there isn't one Active chart-topper since 2010 that you've disliked? That's pretty impressive. :o

Those that got grades C+ and below aren't that good and I wouldn't consider them to be likeable. For example, I didn't quite like "The Sex Is Good" and "Love Bites (So Do I)". 2010, 2011 and 2014 I would consider the best years for Active. The same goes for Alternative, although I do agree that some heavier alternative bands (Seether, Linkin Park, Chevelle, etc.) do need to see success on the alternative charts in this day and age. In other words, Alternative needs to be more diverse than just indie music (there are some exceptions though, such as Foo Fighters, Rise Against and Bush reaching Top 20)

This deserves the nr 1. spot so much more than Something For Nothing, which is the worst song in active top 10 right now and the worst nr. 1 since the last Slash single My grades for some of the last nr. 1 Torn to Pieces: A+ Painkiller: A+ Words As Weapons: A+ 1000HP: A This Is the Time (Ballast): A (a really good time for active rock , when these songs got played constantly)
Until It's Gone: B Messed/F*cked Up World: B+ World On Fire: D Edge of a Revolution: A- Something from Nothing: C Wrong Side of Heaven: A

Yes this is a great song. Only one problem, their video being about the military turns me off. The military is a sensitive topic for me and its mostly family related.

Well they sure do love their military, and while I respect what they do for them and their families, having so many military-focused songs and videos is getting a bit much.

5FDP broke up on stage last night during a Memphis concert. It's not official yet though. I hope they aren't, they're one of the better metal bands around.
