My favorite Janet song ever. I still don't see how it was so successful though, it's not the kind of song you'd expect radio to love because of its loungy type vibe. I still love it though, the video is also classic.

One of my favorites of her, one of her most succesful, one of her best... I'd pick this as a stand out song for the 90s.

I love it. Brilliant use of the sample. Mary J. Blige used the sample the same year and I loved her song too but it showed how much better people responded to Janet's use because her song was a much bigger hit. Like Tasty said, it has a great lounge vibe. It's a great laid back summertime jam.

Best R&b song of the 90s by far.

I'm not sure which version I like better: the Shadoe Stevens AT40 version or the one Rick Dees played.

I thought it was terrible. After an awesome album like Rhythm Nation, she began her descent into dreck with this completely bland and repetitive song.
best R&B song of the 90's?? What are you smoking? I could name off several from 1991 alone that were much better. "All The Man That I Need", "I Don't Wanna Cry", "I Like The Way", "My Heart Is Failing Me", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "Sensitivity", "How Can I Ease The Pain", "Can You Stop The Rain", "Kissing You"....I could go on. And that's just 91.
If this song had been released by anyone other than a huge superstar like Janet, it probably wouldn't have made the charts, much less number one. Back in 93, that is. Today it would probably be a smash by some unheard of artist, because unheard of artists with bland, useless mind-numbing songs are very popular in today's music world.

I like Janet, but as someone once pointed out to me, the first release from each of her albums is never the strongest track.

I'm not sure which version I like better: the Shadoe Stevens AT40 version or the one Rick Dees played. At the time I liked the album version better, the remix was a'ight. KDWB played the single remix.

I love it. It deserved all 10 of the weeks it spent at #1 on the airplay charts.

This song was also won a Grammy for " best r&b song" it was definately the best r&b song of that year and like i said of the 90s. The Grammys were hesitant to give her any major nod before because of the vocal limitations, but there was simply no denying her her due this time. This was a bold move by Janet to go against Vigin's wishes in maing this the ever so important lead-single, but they wisely gave in. A classic, and yes, perhaps her best song to date. Again is her best ballad.

I always skip this song, it's probably my least favorite Janet song, it's so boring.

JAM!!!! Janet's sultry voice makes this song a classic. I don't think anyone else could've done the same for the song.
