Hollerado - "Desire 126" (Cody, #3) Damon Albarn - "Mr. Tembo" (Mike the Moose, #7)Tame Impala - "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" (Shakermaker, #3)You Me at Six - "Room to Breathe" (Green Baron, #7) Crobot - "Nowhere to Hide" (Mandrakegray, #3)Arctic Monkeys - "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" (Shadowscorp, #7) Coldplay - "A Sky Full of Stars" (Lahey, #5) Alter Bridge - "Cry for Achilles" (American Idiot, #7)Of Mice & Men - "Would You Still Be There?" (Mandrakegray, #4)30 Seconds to Mars - "Do or Die" (Lahey, #7) Panic! At the Disco - "This Is Gospel" (Cody, #6) Capital Cities - "One Minute More" (Lordeftones, #7)Seether - "Words As Weapons" (Devin, #4) Youngblood Hawke - "Pressure" (cm7com, #5)Chevelle - "Hunter Eats Hunter" (Green Baron, #4)Glass Animals - "Gooey" (Invince, #6) 1.) The other one is boring and I can't deal 2.) [2] 3.) Okay so I actually like this Arctic Monkeys song and I'm still pissed that "Do I Wanna Know?" didn't smash on Pop 4.) Coldplay is literally my LIFE. 5.) I'm SHOCKED at how many people like this. It's their poppiest track IMO 6.) "One Minute More" is good, but I really got into "This Is Gospel" a lot faster. 7.) Heard this at my gym and it was pretty good (I also liked "Rise Above This"). Sorry, Youngblood Hawke, but "Wolves" was better. 8.) I honestly have never gotten into Chevelle, so it's Glass Animals for the win here.

Hollerado - "Desire 126" (Cody, #3) Damon Albarn - "Mr. Tembo" (Mike the Moose, #7) - I kind of liked "Desire 126", but "Mr. Tembo" is one of my favorites right now.
Tame Impala - "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" (Shakermaker, #3) You Me at Six - "Room to Breathe" (Green Baron, #7) - Like this Tame Impala song more than "Elephant" on first listen. You Me at Six isn't my thing.
Crobot - "Nowhere to Hide" (Mandrakegray, #3) Arctic Monkeys - "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" (Shadowscorp, #7) - Not my favorite Monkeys song, but more my style than Crobot.
Coldplay - "A Sky Full of Stars" (Lahey, #5) Alter Bridge - "Cry for Achilles" (American Idiot, #7) - I have to admit I've never really given Alter Bridge a chance, but "Cry For Achilles" was solid enough to edge out Coldplay's foray into generic pop-EDM.
Of Mice & Men - "Would You Still Be There?" (Mandrakegray, #4) 30 Seconds to Mars - "Do or Die" (Lahey, #7) - Neither is really my thing, but the Of Mice & Men one was a little more interesting.
Panic! At the Disco - "This Is Gospel" (Cody, #6) Capital Cities - "One Minute More" (Lordeftones, #7) - I usually dislike Panic! At The Disco, but "Gospel" wasn't too bad. I'd still give "One Minute More" a slight edge though.
Seether - "Words As Weapons" (Devin, #4) Youngblood Hawke - "Pressure" (cm7com, #5) - It's not common for me to favor post-grunge over indie, but I actually really like "Words As Weapons", while "Pressure" is meh at best.
Chevelle - "Hunter Eats Hunter" (Green Baron, #4) Glass Animals - "Gooey" (Invince, #6) - Not overtly impressed by either, but "Gooey" stood out a little more.

Hollerado - "Desire 126" (Cody, #3)
Damon Albarn - "Mr. Tembo" (Mike the Moose, #7) - Never heard of either of these songs (let alone the artists) so this was a first listen for both for me. "Desire 126" was pretty good on first listen and "Mr. Tembo" was fairly boring imo. So "Desire 126" for me. Tame Impala - "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" (Shakermaker, #3) You Me at Six - "Room to Breathe" (Green Baron, #7)
- First listen again for both. I listened to some songs by Tame Impala and I loved the instrumentals, but the vocals weren't up to par for me. Though I did like "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards". "Room to Breathe" sounded sort of similar to my favorite band SafetySuit, so I went with that. Crobot - "Nowhere to Hide" (Mandrakegray, #3)
Arctic Monkeys - "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" (Shadowscorp, #7) - "Nowhere to Hide" was alright on first listen, so I went with it. I don't like Arctic Monkeys as previously stated and "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" doesn't change that. Coldplay - "A Sky Full of Stars" (Lahey, #5) Alter Bridge - "Cry for Achilles" (American Idiot, #7)
- The instrumentals of "Cry for Achilles" are awesome, but the chorus doesn't hit as hard as it should. Still voted for it since I think "A Sky Full of Stars" is fairly boring for an EDM song. Of Mice & Men - "Would You Still Be There?" (Mandrakegray, #4) 30 Seconds to Mars - "Do or Die" (Lahey, #7)- I like Of Mice & Men's clean vocals, and I hate screaming (despite me liking The Used ), but I actually dug "Would You Still Be There?". Though I really like "Do or Die", so I had to give 30STM the vote. Panic! At the Disco - "This Is Gospel" (Cody, #6) Capital Cities - "One Minute More" (Lordeftones, #7)
- I usually like Panic! At the Disco, but I haven't been able to get into "This Is Gospel" at all. "One Minute More" isn't too bad, it's not as immediate as "Safe and Sound", but it has grown on me. Capital Cities wins this one. Seether - "Words As Weapons" (Devin, #4) Youngblood Hawke - "Pressure" (cm7com, #5)
- This has been the toughest one through the whole tournament so far for me. Both of these were Top 3 rankings on my personal chart, but "Pressure" hit #1 for 4 weeks, so I gotta give "Pressure" the vote. It's also being completely devoured by "Words as Weapons" so might as well give it at least one vote lol. Chevelle - "Hunter Eats Hunter" (Green Baron, #4)
Glass Animals - "Gooey" (Invince, #6) - Despite having a cool name and title, "Gooey" is awful. I'm pretty selective when it comes to Chevelle, but I do like "Hunter Eats Hunter".

I've liked four, maybe five Seether songs.

I have nothing against Marvel movies, in fact I usually love them, especially recently because they've had two of the best movies of the year. It's just that Expendables 3 is above them for you that bothers me. I watched it and it wasn't very good at all ESPECIALLY compared to Expendables 2, which I rather enjoyed. If you must know though, my favorite movie of the year so far is Dawn of the Planet of the Apes though I haven't seen Sin City: A Dame To Kill For yet(which is surprising considering Sin City is in my Top 20 movies of all time)
I'm actually a film student and I love movies almost as much as I love music, but yeah back to the music.
Hollerado - "Desire 126" (Cody, #3) - Both of these were kinda meh to me but I liked the video to this one so. Damon Albarn - "Mr. Tembo" (Mike the Moose, #7)
Tame Impala - "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" (Shakermaker, #3) You Me at Six - "Room to Breathe" (Green Baron, #7) - Both of these songs are okay, I guess but I can sing along to this one.
Crobot - "Nowhere to Hide" (Mandrakegray, #3) Arctic Monkeys - "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" (Shadowscorp, #7) - I loved this song a lot more before it charted, but now I've heard it too much. Still beats out Crobot though.
Coldplay - "A Sky Full of Stars" (Lahey, #5) Alter Bridge - "Cry for Achilles" (American Idiot, #7) - This song is SO underrated, kicks the crap out of Addicted To Pain and is WAY better than Coldplay. I really wish this had done better but I blame Slash.
Of Mice & Men - "Would You Still Be There?" (Mandrakegray, #4) 30 Seconds to Mars - "Do or Die" (Lahey, #7) - This is a decent song, better than that mehtalcore.
Panic! At the Disco - "This Is Gospel" (Cody, #6) Capital Cities - "One Minute More" (Lordeftones, #7) - H-hey, this is my pick!
Seether - "Words As Weapons" (Devin, #4) - One of the best rock singles of the year imo. Youngblood Hawke - "Pressure" (cm7com, #5)
Chevelle - "Hunter Eats Hunter" (Green Baron, #4) - This is my favorite song charting on either chart right now and I SWEAR TO GOD IF CHEVELLE LOSES TO GOOEY ANIMALS Glass Animals - "Gooey" (Invince, #6)

Damon Albarn - "Mr. Tembo" (Mike the Moose, #7) A little better than Hollerado
You Me at Six - "Room to Breathe" (Green Baron, #7) Could not get through Tame Impala
Arctic Monkeys - "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?" (Shadowscorp, #7) Arctic Monkeys blew Crobot away. This song by Arctic Monkeys is better than their previous song Do I Wanna Know
Coldplay - "A Sky Full of Stars" (Lahey, #5) Could not stand the vocals. Coldplay wins this one.
Of Mice & Men - "Would You Still Be There?" (Mandrakegray, #4) This was the hardest decision to make in this round. Both were good, but this song barely made it.
Capital Cities - "One Minute More" (Lordeftones, #7) This song is better than their other single. Did not like the Panic at the Disco song.
Seether - "Words As Weapons" (Devin, #4) Pressure reminded me of Night of the Roxbury for some reason. But Seether wins this one.
Chevelle - "Hunter Eats Hunter" (Green Baron, #4) Heavyness beats GlassHouse

(Mandrakegray, #4) 30 Seconds to Mars - "Do or Die" (Lahey, #7) Panic! At the Disco - "This Is Gospel" (Cody, #6) Capital Cities - "One Minute More" (Lordeftones, #7) Seether - "Words As Weapons" (Devin, #4) Youngblood Hawke - "Pressure" (cm7com, #5) Chevelle - "Hunter Eats Hunter" (Green Baron, #4) Glass Animals - "Gooey" (Invince, #6) {NOTES}1. Hollerado receives a healthy win against Damon Albarn with a vote of 13-6.
2. Tame Impala was in the lead, then You Me At Six cut ahead, and then they stayed close throughout the rest of the round. "Room to Breathe" wins by a vote of 12-8.
3. Arctic Monkeys win yet another bracket, with "Why'd You Only Call..." defeating "Nowhere to Hide" by a vote of 14-5.
4. A tie! Coldplay looked like they may have had it at the beginning, but Alter Bridge stayed on their heels the entire round. In the end, they tied 10-10, but Coldplay advances due to their higher rank.
5. 30 Seconds to Mars exceed here against competitors Of Mice & Men by a vote of 14-5.
6. I thought this was going to be an interesting match-up and I was right! They kept tying and pulling ahead of one another, but in the end, Capital Cities succeeded with a vote of 11-9.
7. Biggest blow-out of the round. Seether takes Youngblood Hawke by storm with a win of 17-3.
8. Close match-up, but the rockers prevailed and moved Chevelle ahead by a vote of 11-9.

I like Petty and Hypnotic Eye but as a general fan of anything Jack White-related "Lazaretto" wins in the end. "Rude" is in my top 5 favorite pop hits of the year so far, while I haven't dug anything by Fuel post-"Bad Day".

It would've been more fun to see MAGIC! and 311 compete for the best white-boy reggae rock song in this line-up.

I cannot pick between which track is worse. Both tracks epitomize everything that is wrong with their respective formats. Lazaretto Soul to Preach To (Vote for Rude in the Pop tournament, not the Rock one, dammit) Tennis Kourt Five of Everything I Want Out

It's generic schlock and it's a POS song in general, but my point as soon as harsh vocals come in, you immediately disown it, which is an awful reaction to have. Just because a song has harsh vocals does not automatically mean it's bad.

Tbh the fact that it wasn't screaming was so off-putting about it. If you're gonna make a generic metal song, at least add screaming.
