Second single (maybe the official lead single?) off of their new album, titled Always And Forever. Going to iTunes on September 2nd and is currently spinning on Sirius XM. It has a total of 38 spins total on the station and I personally would love to see this get at least a little bit of attention on regular radio, and not just on satellite. I'm quite excited for this upcoming album as they have not come out with anything full-length since "Up in the Attic" in 2006. Most people categorize them as one hit wonder with "Smooth Criminal" but "Movies" did do decently while peaking at #18 and "These Days" at #28. However, none of the singles since then have charted from what I see, so I would not expect radio to do anything with this. I'd be super happy if they gave the band a chance though.

I like this. Curious to see how it performs.
I still track "Movies" from time to time. Such a great song.

I consider "Movies" a hit because it spent over 30 weeks on the chart due to do different runs, one before "Smooth Criminal" and the other after it. "These Days" was robbed. It has always sounded liek a top 10 hit IMO, but somehow it only got to #28.

I think the lyrics are better than the song. Pop Punk trying to sound indie-like. I say, just stick to your sound. I like the variety on the Alt rock charts. "Movies" was great. One of my top songs of that year. The Michael Jackson cover was also fun. You know: If any bands were to give the Indie movemnet any competition it would be these angst pop punk bands from early 2000s if they just stuck to thier original style. Simple Plan, The Ataries, These guys, Lit, Yellowcard and my favs, Good Charlotte. I miss that sound! kudos to mentioning "Smooth Criminal"

Since we're reflecting on these guys' past singles, I can't let this thread pass without mentioning "Attitude", their really underrated single from 2002 that only managed a #42 peak.

This is not the greatest Alien Ant Farm song in the world, no... this is just a homage.

Loved "Movies" back in the day and still like to listen to it sometimes - it deserved to be a hit, moreso than the "Smooth Criminal" cover which hasn't aged well for me at all. I vaguely remember hearing "These Days" when it was new but don't remember if I liked it or not - listening now, it's pretty good.
Not too impressed by this song though. And I don't see Alien Ant Farm having a hit in 2014, anyway.
