Just relistened to Jamey Johnson's "That Lonesome Song" album and i gotta say that is definently a record that is best played at night. Bonus pick: Eric Church- "Lightning"

Hadn't been back to this thread in a while and saw this. When George first released "Poison" it was one of those songs I listened to almost nightly. It is hard for me to listen to that song today, however, because I myself was going through a dark period and drinking a lot more than I should have been. Every once in a while I'll try and put the song on but I'm just not ready as it brings back a lot of memories I have during that time. Hopefully in time I'll be able to enjoy the song again.

Reba McEntire - "If I Had Only Known" I'm pretty sure he didn't ask for music that makes you cry for constant hours and question everything in life.....god, I love this woman! Anyways, I love the idea of this thread because it is so true! I always find songs that sound better in different seasons or whatnot, but there really are some songs that just increase it's awesomeness when it's dark out...that made sense, right? Anyways, loving the songs picked out!

I like to listen to "The Blues Man," by Alan Jackson, at night. The full length version with the 3 minute instrumental at the end.
