Looks like the chart has slipped a little behind (Tuesday/Wednesday-ish data, from the look of things). I was expecting a much higher debut for Taylor (bottom end of the top 20 at the very least). It'll have a huge jump, next week, no doubt.

It took until August to get the first Top 40 hit with a subtitle this year and it looks like we'll be getting another one in September.

Also, "Say My Name" from 2000 is one of the oldest optionals I can think of this year. "Waiting For Tonight" was a year older.

The oldest extra that I'm aware of to be played during the Seacrest era is Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It" from 1987. I recall that being played at some point during the first couple years of Ryan's tenure.

So G.R.L. is On The Verge again with "Ugly Heart", which is no surprise to me. Unfortunately, the group lost Simone Battle this weekend at a young age of 25. I think she had depression and then committed suicide.

Ryan mentioned that Pharrell had the 2nd biggest drop of the year. The biggest was "Slow Down" which fell 22 notches in January.

Prior to "Waiting For Tonight," the last pre-1999 song I remember being played was "Don't Speak" from 1996-97. I think it was played last year or 2012.

When Ryan's Hot AC version began in late 2004, they used to play a lot of 80s songs, especially as Double Plays and AT40 Rewinds. The oldest one I remember was "Every Breath You Take" from 1983.

"Sing" technically fell 23+ spots not too long ago because iirc it fell off the chart from #18 but I get why that doesn't count lol

Yes. Well, she joked about that in an interview on AT40's Facebook page but since she got lukewarm reviews here from her sub hosting stint last week, I couldn't resist.
