Now that we've got a tracklisting, hopefully this means we'll get an official release date soon. Last I heard she was planning to release in June but no date has been confirmed. Can't wait to hear the whole thing!

^ They did, it's called "Girl in a Country Song". But I'd love for Kacey to do it too. :)

YAS Kacey. All the ladies need to put the bro culture in its place. An all-female country teamup power song would slay me.

I'd definitely love to hear them if anyone finds them.

You can pre-order the CD on there too. I got my pre-order of the CD earlier :)
Really like the album cover, and I'm hoping I'll like it even more once I hear the song that inspired the title and cover.
Bummed it got pushed back, but at least it's still coming soon! I'm too excited for this album!

That cover is so Kacey. Love it.
Does anyone know if the pre-ordered vinyl comes with a digital download? I know some new vinyls do, but I don't think my Same Trailer, Different Park vinyl came with one. (It was about $10-15 cheaper than this one is, though.)

BBC has been playing tracks from the album - if you go to her artist page and scroll through the replays (click the song, then the program on which it was last played), you can hear the studio versions of "High Time" (the UK single) and "Dime Store Cowgirl," as well as live versions of both and "Late To The Party." They played "This Town" tonight, so that'll be up to replay soon.

Bought tickets to see Kacey on July 18th here on Long Island. Can't wait to hear the album and see her live for the first time! Does anyone know if she does meet & greets through her website/fan club or anything?

Does anyone know if she does meet & greets through her website/fan club or anything? She does do meet & greets, but you have to purchase VIP tickets to the show through her website in order to get one. I took a quick look and VIP tickets are sold out for that show. :( On another note, I saw this posted on twitter and thought it was interesting: I doubt the album actually will get pushed back to September, as Kacey has already had quite a bit of promo and has lots more coming up (including a few TV spots next week). But it's interesting that this is something the label was pushing for. My guess is it's related to the underperformance of "Biscuits" at radio. Perhaps the label wanted to release a different single before dropping the album?

Thanks for checking that for me. :) September probably would be better for first week sales and what not, so I understand why her label might want to do that, but I don't want to wait any longer for this album!

This leaked and it's (unsurprisingly) fantastic. Most of the production is a lot more old school (pandering less to radio) and the debut seemed to have a few more relatable love songs, but the quality of these new tracks is still A+. I'm very very pleased.

Just finished listening to this. What a great record!
So many outstanding songs... "Somebody To Love" (my favorite!), "High Time", "Late To The Party", "Pageant Material", "Family Is Family", "Good Ol’ Boys Club", "Fine"... such a beautifully crafted country record and I absolutely loved the melancholic mood Kacey went for with this. I think it fits perfectly with her writing and the more classic country sound she wanted for this album. Overall, I think it has more unity and sounds more mature than STDP (or anything on mainstream country music right now).

Listening to the last couple songs now, and I'm not sure how to feel. I definitely appreciate her going for an authentic country sound (which is what I think we all expected), but there aren't as many songs that grabbed me like some of the ones on her debut. Obviously this album wasn't meant to have any #1 smashes on country radio in today's market, but I honestly don't know what the next single should even be, because I can't see any of them charting. "Biscuits" is definitely the most radio-friendly song on the album.
Having said that, I think my favorite is "Late To The Party". "Family Is Family" is also great (although I heard it last week and thought I didn't like it, but it grew on me a ton after this 2nd listen). I'll have to listen to the album again, but yeah, definitely no potential hits. I was hoping for at least one edgier, "Blowin' Smoke"-esque song, but that's not on here unfortunately. :(

Sonically it's a nice album but overall it's too samey for my liking. I feel like her debut had mixed the tempo up more.

I really wanted to like this, but I'm not really feeling it. It's too traditional sounding and doesn't fit in with what Country radio is playing. The only ones aside from Biscuits that I even remotely like is Dime Store Cowgirl and Somebody to Love.

Love the album. "Family is Family" and "Biscuits" are my two least favorite songs, actually. "This Town" is probably the most interesting song, sonically, in terms of it being a bit of a departure from what we're used to hearing from Kacey. I haven't picked a favourite song yet, but there's a lot of really wonderful lyrics on here and it sounds like Kacey's been experimenting a little bit more this era, vocally. She has quite a pretty falsetto, which I don't believe we heard much of (if at all) on her debut.
I do agree they don't have much to work with for radio singles, though. Either a song doesn't seem radio-friendly sonically or it doesn't seem like it'll work lyrically. That doesn't mean it's not a great album, it is. It's just not a very radio-friendly album. And in Kacey's case, I think I might just have to accept that that's okay. She might just not be a radio artist, but she's certainly finding success elsewhere.

Favorites: Good Ol' Boys Club, Miserable, Late To The Party, Family Is Family, This Town
Least favorites: High Time, Fine, Cup Of Tea
Still undecided on the rest. But I'm just a little disappointed. I expected more. Looks like music of 2015 isn't made for me. Oh well...

Great album. At first listen it did seem a bit samey (lots of steel guitar?), but with repeated spins I've started to appreciate each individual song more and more. As for singles, perhaps "Dime Store Cowgirl" could be her "Mississippi Girl"? The beginning of "Good Ol' Boys Club" sounds a lot like Miranda's "Another Sunday In The South," which is quite interesting given the subject matter.
