"This Kind Of Town" is done. It lost 420k in audience today and 68 spins. It's down nearly 500k in audience and 202 spins this week. If it wasn't for the panel change, this one would be down even more in both numbers. Its MB peak was #45 and its Billboard peak was #44.
I knew this wouldn't make the top 40 fairly early on in this song's chart run. The release of the Mötley Crüe rock remake torpedoed this album era and this single was more of just something to give radio til Justin gets another lead single out there (even if its still a little ways off, the layoff would have been too long they felt from October to now), and if they got lucky and it took off then that would be great, but Valory had to know they were going to have a tough time here. The song is definitely one of Justin's better singles lately but not as radio-friendly as "Lettin' The Night Roll" or "Point At You".

Shame that this didn't do better considering it's one of his better singles and he's had worse tunes fare much better at radio over the years, but OTOH, it's a little nice to see someone like Justin Moore have the occasional flop. Radio is way too generous with all their male artists in trying to get them all up the chart, so this one missing the Top 40 was kind of refreshing.

Despite his many cliched "I'm a country boy, you suck" kind of songs, I've always liked Justin. That being said, I didn't care for this one. I always felt it was just a rehash of "Small Town U.S.A" which for my money, was 1000x better than this.

Sorry to see this not do well, though it seemed like a poor man's Small Town USA. I would've gone with One Dirt Road, but that itself seems a bit too similar to If Heaven Wadn't So Far Away.
This song didn't have Justin's typical swagger, and I think that is his charm. Still hear Point at You and Lettin' the Night Roll all the time.
Hope he comes back in fighting form.

Yeah One Dirt Road seemed like a hit waiting in the wings. I also think "I'd Want It To Be Yours" could have been his "HonkyTonk Badonkadonk", although I'm sure many on here wouldn't have enjoyed that song lol
