This song is now projected to break 300,000 plays before it leaves the Top 10 unless it crashes next week. Yeah I've been tracking days in Top 10 for it and a few other big hits for a few weeks now. It passed Blurred Lines yesterday, and will pass Blank Space over the weekend. It's also only a few weeks off of One More Night.

Thread title should be updated to "#1 x 14 wks"
Finally dropped out of the top 3. :'(
"Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars, drops 3-4 on the Hot 100 after leading for 14 weeks, tying for the second-longest rule in the Hot 100's 56-year history. It rises 4-3 on Streaming Songs (12.8 million, up 1 percent), while dropping 4-6 on Radio Songs (113 million, down 8 percent) and 8-11 on Digital Songs (80,000, down 12 percent)."
Surprised no one posted this yet in this thread, BUT... in case anybody didn't know, UF set a record on the Hot 100, take a look:
"While "Funk" fell short of breaking the record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 (held by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day": 16), it has set another mark. As noted by astute reader and chart-watcher Brian Cole, "Funk" has spent the most time, 21 weeks, in the Hot 100's top three of any song all-time. With it having rewritten the record last week, here's a look at the hits to inhabit the top three the longest:
Songs With the Most Weeks in the Hot 100's Top Three: 21 weeks, "Uptown Funk!," Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars, 2014-15 19, "Smooth," Santana feat. Rob Thomas, 1999-2000 18, "We Belong Together," Mariah Carey, 2005 18, "Un-Break My Heart," Toni Braxton, 1996-97 17, "All About That Bass," Meghan Trainor, 2014"

Funk is nominated for two BET Awards this year:
Best Collaboration: Mark Ronson’s funky rhythms matched with Bruno Mars’ feel-good singing creates an exciting concoction of greatness. It’s fun! It’s free! It’s funky!
Centric Award: Super-producer Mark Ronson connected with the Hawaiian pop sensation for what is undeniably one of the catchiest funk-inspired hits in recent memory.

Another record possible for UF?! Here's what the article this week says:
"Rounding out the Hot 100's top five, Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars, drops 4-5 on the Hot 100 after leading for 14 weeks, tying for the second-longest reign in the Hot 100's 56-year history. "Funk" posts its 24th week in the top five and is now just one week from tying the record for most weeks spent in the top five by any song: LeAnn Rimes totaled 25 weeks in the region with "How Do I Live" (which peaked at No. 2) in 1997-98. "Funk" passes Chubby Checker's iconic "The Twist," which tallied 23 weeks in the top five over two release cycles in 1960-62. (The only song to top the Hot 100 in two runs as a single, "The Twist" was honored as the Hot 100's all-time top No. 1 upon the chart's 55th anniversary in 2013.)"

I am still hearing this sooo much on my local channels. I really liked it, but I am starting to grow tired of hearing it (Something i thought that wouldn't happen, but that doesn't mean I think it's a bad song.

Just surpassed 6 MILLION downloads sold. 34 others have done so in music history.
Unfortunately, it drops 5-6. No top 5 record for UF. :(

2 weeks away from tying the record for most weeks in the Top 10! (32 weeks, current record-holder is Leann Rimes' "How Do I Live")
It stayed at #6 for the week of July 4th, by the way.

'Uptown Funk' One Week Away From Longest Stay in Hot 100's Top 10
Mark Ronson’s former 14-week Hot 100 No. 1 “Uptown Funk!,” featuring Bruno Mars, descends 6-8 on the Hot 100. “Funk” has now tallied 31 weeks in the top 10, leaving it one week away from tying the record for the longest stay in the top 10 for a single in the Hot 100’s nearly 57-year history. Here’s an updated count of the titles with the lengthiest top 10 Hot 100 runs:
Singles With the Most Weeks in the Top 10 on the Hot 100 Weeks in Top 10, Title, Artist(s), Peak Position, Year
32, “How Do I Live,” LeAnn Rimes, No. 2, 1997 31, “Uptown Funk!,” Ronson feat. Mars, No. 1, 2015 30, “Smooth,” Santana feat. Rob Thomas, No. 1, 1999 29, “Party Rock Anthem,” LMFAO feat. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock, No. 1, 2011 28, “You Were Meant for Me”/“Foolish Games,” Jewel, No. 2, 1997 26, “Truly Madly Deeply,” Savage Garden, No. 1, 1998
Thus, as it potentially closes in on tying Rimes’ mark, “Funk” has already achieved a notable highlight: it passes “Smooth” to become the Hot 100 No. 1 with the most weeks ever totaled in the top 10.

Well hopefully more deserving people will take over the top 10 next week, like... Justin Bieber.

Due to a viral video, in its 47th week on the Hot 100, this vaults 27-14.
Due to the unexpected gain, I'm gonna predict this will last 60-65 weeks on the Hot 100.

Not my fault the Grammys wait until February to announce winners.

I think since it's a notable award, I think it's acceptable to post it. Though I would prefer that the post be made in a more recent thread of a song by the same lead artist (but Feel Right flopped so I think the post is justifiable in this case)
