After reading so many negative comments i thought the video wasn't good. I was wrong, the video is really good, not what i expected (and probably not what most people expected which explain the comments) but it's good anyway

Pretty.
That's it. What a wasted opportunity.

I like the idea of the video, but it's like someone fell in love with the effect of superimposing him on her and vice versa and forgot to do something interesting with it beyond constant iterations of that idea.

I personally Loved the video! 1 Its beautifully shot. 2 I love all the dark undertones with it. 3 I feel like this really works because in the song their relationship isnt perfect and in the video it isn't either. 4 THE BEST REASON IS TAYLOR IS BAE

This song's production is stellar, if only the lyrics were better I'd like it more.

Lights out, full screen, play.
I'm also surprised by the video. I've been expecting Style to have a bubblegum+rainbows kind of video but the video's kind of gloomy? I think we replayed the Target clip too many times. The flashbacks, the intimate scenes, everything is mature and well done. Sad, beautiful, tragic, and brings new depth to the song. I actually think the video reflects how much the song means to Taylor.
Definitely my favorite video this era. Those full body shots of her with the lightning effects at 2:30 were just hot!

I love the video. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting but it's surprising in a good way. I love the darker theme of it and the whole thing looks fantastic.
This only keeps growing on me. It's easily in my top 5 singles from her, and it might even be my favorite.

Well the bad news is the video didn't push her to #1 on iTunes... Maybe the weekend will see a bigger change

what a boring video.. 1st misstep this era. but she looks superb! First was not perform at the Grammy's. Then this. (Which is a combination of it being shitty + being released on a friday + not having any promotion.) Overall, the way Style has been handled so far has been a pretty big misstep IMO.

What is this "I expected bubblegum and rainbows" nonsense?
It's a dark, moody song. What is with the avalanche of "Oh I guess Style is kind of dark and moody" -- it IS dark and moody! It's not Teenage Dream.

I agree. The song has always had this weird mix of dark and sexy, but joyfully bittersweet, and I think the video conveys that!

It's about a perpetual loop of a love gone bad after the honeymoon phase. Nothing "Teenage Dream" about that.

Didn't seem to help that much on Itunes, but maybe it needs the weekend. I am not too surprised though. I don't think it sells the song that well.

If Taylor performs this on SNL 40 this sunday,Maybe it can go up the itunes charts. So far it is doing better than "22" has been a few years ago.The only misstake that can happen is if she performs "Welcome To New York" on SNL 40. It already has 4 million views on Youtube. Should go up more soon.

I really like the music video! It doesn't evoke the same joy and replay value as SIO and BS, but Taylor went in a totally different direction for her and it worked. The imagery in the video is intoxicating and it fits the vibe of the video very well. Although I do agree that it actually fits Wildest Dreams just as well if not better.

The video makes me like the song more than I did, but I don't see it selling the song to people who don't already have the album

What's with the "not replay worthy"? If what my tally has told me is right, I had just played it for the 15th time since it's release. Definitely #1 in my personal chart next week

With its digital performance...I just don't see this topping the Hot 100.

With its digital performance...I just don't see this topping the Hot 100. Yeah... The top 3 on iTunes (Thinking Out , Uptown Funk, and FourFiveSeconds) are looking pretty impenetrable and probably will be for a long time. Style will probably pass Love Me Like You Do (after the 50 Shades hype dies), Sugar (no idea why it hasn't passed this song already), and Take Me to Church (just because of how old it is), but after that we'll have to wait and see if airplay or streaming really pick up and spur digital sales.

Yeah, unfortunately the video did absolutely nothing for the song digitally....which is odd. I would've expected at least a few positions jumped by now. Oh well. lol
Honestly, "Style" is my least favorite single and likely will remain that way (barring something odd like "I Wish You Would" or "Welcome To New York" being released).

Yeah #1 is probably out of the picture at this point unless some crazy combination of factors occurs with perfect timing. Like, her somehow sneaking in when the other big ones have peaked and are dropping. I never really cared about or expected all her singles to hit #1 especially with the amount of cds she is selling, so I am more interesting in seeing this become a huge airplay hit and setting up the next single properly which looks like a given at this point.

With this video? lol It actually dropped 2 spots yesterday and got a red update. I doubt she's even performing it on SNL. That said, the video's gotten 6 million views on YouTube tonight.
