The difference with "Style" and a Maroon 5 song is that an additional 4 million people already have "Style" due to album sales, so there are less people left to buy the song. I'm sure Taylor would much rather have massive album sales and moderate single sales, instead of the other way around.

While 4 million is incredible for an album, if her singles continue to be massive, sales should continue to increase so essentially it's a win-win, so a couple performances on a TV show to boost single sales and take it to the top of the charts would also benefit the album. Both are doing just fine without TV exposure so that's probably why they're not bothering, but it's a bit frustrating because we all know Style could be doing even better digitally.

This really does need at least ONE televised performance to push it to the top. I mean, come on. Top 10 on the Hot 100, top 5 on radio, #8 on iTunes.
Just ONE god damn performance will do it.
Meh.

She should do an acoustic duet of this with Harry Styles and post it to YouTube. Get that viral smash!

What are the next awards? 22 was perfomed in BMA's in may? or it was in march? Technically The BRITs, but the good sis is obviously ignoring her current single and performing Blank Space yet again. :'(

Is it me or does she hate Style? Like what? She has been missing up opportunities to make this a much bigger hit that it deservedly to be.

It seemed like she did EVERYTHING for SIO and BS... but now... I don't get it... 0 performances, a lackluster music video (in the eyes of the GP) and seemingly no effort. Hmmm...

Even for Blank Space, there were only three performances (AMAs, The Voice, VS Fashion Show). She hasn't done any major promo since New Year's Eve (and that was SIO and WTNY).
The lack of any sort of promo for Style is pretty odd, but maybe she's waiting? I know the song is top ten on radio/sales already, but technically it was only officially released last week. Perhaps she wants to do some promo in a month or so to give it some longevity.

She performed "Style" on the Victoria' Secret Show and its gone top 10 on the Hot 100 and top 5 on Pop. Didn't she also perform this on SNL?

Stop being dramatic. She performed "Style" on the Victoria' Secret Show! He's gone top 10 on the Hot 100 and top 5 on Pop. Didn't she also perform this on SNL? I'm not being dramatic. I forgot about the VS show, but other than that nothing. lol And that was last year anyways. I understand that, GOSH... I'm not saying it isn't successful, but it really does seem like 0 effort has been put into promoting this. And no... she only appeared on SNL to give an awful delivery of the Californians and then she was gone...

The only reason she did Style at the VS show was because Karli and Lily told her they needed a song with a good beat they could strut to down the runway to, so Taylor played Style in her apartment and they tested it and worked perfectly. She probably would have done Shake It Off instead.
The dust she's paying Style is unreal. :'(

I am hoping that this doesn't signal the end of promo for the album. Or at least heavy promo-I am sure we will get a few more one-off performances. Like, maybe they are just letting it go for now, but she will promote the fourth and fifth singles for more longevity. If they really dedicate themselves to the era, this could sell so much. But, it is already selling tons and the tour will make unbelievable money so maybe they are pleased with the way things are now.

She could perform "Style" on any show[American Idol,The Voice Etc.] Even a Ellen Show performance like she used to do in older eras I remember. I'm sure she is gonna least perform it at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend or Rock In Rio USA in May,those are like festivals and Taylor will have a big setlist to play there and I'm sure "Style" will be one of them. "22"'s first performance was actually on a UK Reality show back in March 2013.
First performance of "22" from March 2013.

I would love it if she was on The Voice or American Idol! It's possible with the live shows coming up for AI she could book a performance there.

Wouldn't shock me in the slightest to see her go on Idol, The Voice, or both. She's already got ties to The Voice because of her recent guest-judging, and she's now got a huge tie to Idol with Scott Borchetta being the new resident mentor this season. They're moving into the live stages of the show next week and she's never been on before, so I could see them making a big deal out of it. Ratings for both shows have been respectable so far for each of their seasons.
I'm sure there'll be a televised performance of this somewhere, and soon. She's had a picture-perfect era thus far; I can't see her/her team screwing up the potential that "Style" has by not even promoting anywhere else on TV post-VS Fashion Show. (Even though they already screwed up with the video.)

With two hugely successful singles, it's not that surprising there hasn't been promo for the third. I agree there should be some, but there's also a such thing as overkill. Taylor has constantly been in the forefront since August. Yes, she slowed down some in the New Year, but it's not like she is avoiding everything. I actually think holding off on a Grammy performance was strategic. Had she performed this year she likely would have performed Shake It Off. Next year she'll likely have either a pop album or AOTY nod where she will be free to perform whatever she wants.
At this point it may be more profitable to focus on the tour rather than to push single or album sales. The tour will be huge. And it's not like the single is failing. Maybe they are holding out on promo so this song doesn't peak right away? I also think there are alternative forms of promo that she could do without going the traditional route. Style easily could have been a song in some commercial. I'm surprised more acts don't do more "viral" type things like surprise performances that are taped.
Either way, it's the third single and some seem to think she should be promoting it like it's the first.

Either way, it's the third single and some seem to think she should be promoting it like it's the first. (I agree with you that some people are wishing for way too much promotion for one song [and pretty much this entire era thus far, especially considering how much Swift has done/given fans], but) She really hasn't promoted this song at all. Granted, it didn't/doesn't need a whole lot of promotion considering it's now Top 10 on both Pop and the Hot 100, but, take out the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show performance from over 2 months before this was even sent for adds for radio and over a month before it was ever confirmed as the third single, and it's had 0 promo besides a music video.

I'm not against the song being promoted, I don't want to give off that vibe--but I do think it's important to be real here. Not every single is going to get a major TV performance. I could see her doing something on the Voice or maybe AI and that being it. She already made the rounds on pretty much all the talk shows this era. How many performances of 22 did we get? I do agree that if the promo was going to be zero for Style than something more flashy could have been done for the video.

This is her first TRUE Pop album and the promotion attached to the singles should be like so. Katy and her team don't play when it comes to promo so I don't get why Taylor is sitting on her hands.

The reach is unreal! If it was #1 on the Hot 100 no one would be complaining about promo at all but guess what? It's 'only' top 10 so she has to promote to push it further. This still feels like a brand new single since the video only got released last week and generated little buzz so it's not like it's in everyone's faces just yet. Perhaps they're waiting for the top songs to slow down (Uptown Funk and Church have already peaked in points and Thinking Out Loud has probably peaked this week) before they give it a performance boost but even if that doesn't happen it's still a success.

well 22 had more promo then this. That is why us Swift fans are complaining a bit.Taylor did a second appearance on "The Tonight Show" this era. There is always room for more appearances. In The Older eras, she would first perform a single on "The Ellen Show",Who could forget "The Story Of Us" premiere performance on that show. There was no Letterman concert this era at all. Another appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman" before it ends in May would be good for her. Surprised there wasn't another appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" scheduled since she just did Fallon a few days ago.
22 performances- Let's Dance For Comic Relief UK Capital FM Summertime Ball UK Billboard Awards USA OFF.TV French TV Private Concert France Acoustic Set from The Red Announcement Live Stream of "22".
