Will it hold on until tomorrow? Of course it will. What's going to block it?

Will it hold on until tomorrow? Of course it will. What's going to block it? All it would take would be for it to lose 45 more spins than "Thinking Out Loud" tomorrow. Highly unlikely, but not entirely out of the question. CAN YA SAY THREE CONSECUTIVE NUMBA ONEZ?!! <3 Taylor. Assuming it does get the official title tomorrow, here are the last few times (within the last five years) artists have received three or more number ones in a row on pop. Bruno Mars - "It Will Rain" through "When I Was Your Man" (three singles - winter 2012-spring 2013) Maroon 5 - "Moves Like Jagger" through "Daylight" (four singles - fall 2011-spring 2013) - The last album to receive three number ones in a row would be Maroon 5 with Overexposed with "Payphone" through "Daylight." Katy Perry - "California Gurls" through "The One That Got Away" (five singles - summer 2010-winter 2012) Lady Gaga - "Just Dance" through "Telephone" (six singles - winter 2009-spring 2010) Also, P!nk has done it twice: P!nk - "U + Ur Hand" through "So What" (three singles - spring 2007-fall 2008) - Though, this was not in the last five years. I did find it interesting, though, that P!nk had done it twice. P!nk - "Raise Your Glass" through "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" (three singles - winter 2010-fall 2012)

But given "Thinking Out Loud" lost 255 spins today (and if it were to stick to that same pace tomorrow), then "Style" would have to go from a positive update to a negative 300 to lose out on #1. It simply ain't happening. Haha
I do think this will be a much shorter stint at the top spot than her previous singles though.

Can anyone confirm?

You're right, Katy had 7 consecutive number 1's on pop: Waking Up In Vegas, California Girls, Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T, Last Friday Night, The One That Got Away.
Had "Part Of Me" reached #1 instead of #3, she would've had 10 consecutive #1s.

Can anyone confirm? Oops, yes, that's six, not five. I forgot about "Last Friday Night." Anyway, I thought about "Waking Up In Vegas" counting, but for some reason, everytime it is, someone always tries to bring up "Starstrukk" or "If We Ever Meet Again," so I just decided to avoid that controversy (even though I agree "WakinUp In Vegas" should count in her total).

I agree that Katy should count for 7 - if she doesn't, then Gaga shouldn't count for 6, since "Chillin'" with Wale came in between "Lovegame" and "Paparazzi". I look at features as only counting when they help the streak, but not counting when they don't (but I guess everyone has their own way of determining what does and doesn't count).
Barring a disaster, "Style" should be Taylor's next #1 tomorrow. After that, I see it getting a second week at #1, but probably not a third, as "Sugar" will most likely be taking over in two weeks' time.

"Chillin'" was never released to pop afaik.
Anyway, "Style" also looks to be the next #1 on Hot AC too! Could take it as early as next week!

If "Style" holds on to the #1 which it should,It will be Taylor's 6th #1 song on CHR/Pop Radio.
Previous #1's- #1 Love Story #1 You Belong With Me #1 I Knew You Were Trouble. #1 Shake It Off #1 Blank Space
WANEGBT peaked at #2 on CHR/Pop radio.

So happy for Taylor and "Style"! The song is absolutely fantastic - sexy, retro and hypnotic and just some of the words that come to mind. If she releases "Bad Blood" 4th which seems to be likely though not certain, she should extend the streak the 4 #1's.

So excited to see this smashing just as I predicted it would when I first heard it. Anyone know what's planned next? Has there been any 4th single speculation?

Hopefully they keep it under wraps for a few more weeks. "Blank Space" will go recurrent later today on pop. "Style" just reached #1 and will probably peak soon, but I think there is no need to rush with the 4th single. And we all know radio would jump on the new single if Taylor's team confirmed what it is.
